I didn't even know this car wash existed. I went there at 8:00 at night and there was no line. paid $11 and got a decent car wash. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews maybe people who get a fine car wash don't leave a review. But it's close to where I live, it's only $11 and it didn't even take off any of my magnetic stickers. For $11 and being down the street I definitely will go back. If you have some problems with filling your tires, they wouldn't help. They would let you wait there and handle it yourself. Most of the time the guy work inside gas station doesn't even speak English nor Spanish, like wtf, I know your gas is from middle east but you don't need to bring your whole three generations to this gas station. The car wash is out of order most of the times and on rare occasions it is operational, it does not offer the correct wash. Irrespective of the package you pick- deluxe, premium or ultimate, it does the basic wash without undercarriage wash, wax coat or double dry. The employees are unhelpful. read more

I was so skeptical bc of the negative reviews but I wanted to take my toddler son to a drive thru car wash. This place was perfect. No line. Easy payment via credit card. Exciting sounds and we left 5ish minutes later full of wonder at the automatic brushes and the soapy water. The car isn't perfect but it's shiny and clean. They have a vacuum that I will try next time if it isn't so freezing cold out. read more

My 6 yr old nephew could have done a better job washing my car! After waiting 29 minutes to get in the car wash (I timed it, thanks to the time on my receipt), I was "thanked" with a crappy wash with dirt smudges on the side and back of my car. I suppose I could have gone in and asked to go through again, but since I didn't want to spend all day doing this, I left. What is it with the Metro DC area.... where do people go for a GOOD car wash? There was a great one at the Shell station on Wilson across from the Ballston Mall, but the whole station is under construction, and maybe closed. BEWARE: the car wash uses spinning rubber wheels and ended up leaving about 30 parallel scratches on the hood of my trunk. Aside from damaging my car it overall didn't get the car very clean either. I have attempted to contact them by phone, but they do not answer and their voicemail is full. Update: I spoke with the manager, obviously he states that they are not responsible for damages. Aside from that he was very unprofessional and unhelpful, but I do applaud him for offering to give me a free car wash (YAY!) and for providing statistics on the number of car washes they do per day. I think this place is ok. Yes you can get cheaper gas farther out. I'm often up early and like that unlike many other places, the pumps are always open. In contrast to other reviewers, I've always had pleasant and helpful experiences with the staff. The car wash is nothing special - it is a small, urban stationary wash. It does a basic job but you do need to wipe down your car and clean the glass afterwards. For $10, it is about what I'd expect. The new equipment and keypad do seem nicer than before. I like this place. This is the closest gas station to my house and it never seems crowded or anything. I came by to fill up my tire with air and realized that the machine only accepted quarters. I went inside to ask the guy for change but wasn't sure if I would need $1 or $2 worth of air. He told me he would give me the quarters and if I didn't use the 2 bucks, he could always change it back for me. I thought that this was really nice of him. The other thing I like about Exxon is if you shop at safeway, for every $100 you spend you get 10 cents off per gallon. The other day I got off 30 cents per gallon. No issues! read more

It is what it is a gas station. The convenient store has a small amount of items with the prices. There's a few auto care items here. I'm not sure of the variety. Yes there is beer. Yes it is cold. 12 bucks for a sixpack of Corona. Now the car wash. You have a choice of three carwashes. Between $8,$9and $10. I always get the $10 car wash. My car comes out looking just okay. I still have to scrub additional stuff off of it and the rims are always still dirty. I just broke a nail trying to rescrub it. So I guess it's a good alternative if you want to get the majority of the dirt off and still don't mind putting a little more elbow grease into it. I believe gas here is also more expensive than any other place in N. Arlington. Okay you can't haggle and complain when you have an empty tank. read more

On two previous occasions, I paid for a car wash (after hours), only to drive up and find a slapdash note stating the car wash was broken. Since there was no staff on hand, both times I just ate the cost. Today, after a seeing a line of cars (thus confirming the damn thing was operational) I purchased a car wash. When I drove up, there was another sign, declaring that the cheapest car wash option was apparently broken, but that I could insert more cash to pay for one of the more expensive varieties. As you can see from the photo, I wasn't the only one pissed off. I went inside to plead my case, noting that they NEVER post any signs at the pump *before* people pay. A five-minute saga of ineptitude ensued, with both clerks saying they couldn't give a refund and my only option was to pay more. (Also, they had to keep the receipt which I needed for reimbursement purposes.) This car wash is the absolute worst. read more

Rude attendant. In a really loud voice, he told me I was wasting time after I filled my tires at the air pump. I was checking the tire pressure of each tire. He could've instead told me there was another customer waiting to use the pump, I would've parked somewhere else to bleed my tires, no big deal really. The only reason this car wash gets one star is because it washed the car. Otherwise it would get zero. The inside of the car wash was disgusting and the exit of the wash area was broken, so I had to back out when it was done. I nearly took out my rear view mirror, and ended up having to roll my - very wet - window down to fold my mirror in, even though the attendant was right there and could have helped a sister out since he saw how close it was. Either way, he didn't, and now my otherwise clean car has a lovely streaked driver's window. It also missed the entire center of my trunk. The car wash is very low quality, and the dryer doesn't work. On my first visit I complained, and while I was denied a refund, I was given another car wash code to use within 30 days. Gas: the gas pumps are pretty standard. There's enough rows of them that this station is never too filled and I usually don't have to wait to fill up unless i'm going during the evening weekday rush hour. Car wash: So.. This is the only automated car wash around North Arlington. ?! How that is possible, I just don't know. It's not fancy - in fact, it seems to have more buttons missing and lights broken everytime I go. But, it does "clean" my car when I'm in a rush -- I use the word "clean" in a broad sense... My car is cleaner when I leave then when I arrived but it's never really sparkling and usually has some streaking/residue left over. That is fairly standard for an automated car wash, though. There's almost ALWAYS a line 4 cars deep for the car wash, even in the middle of the day. Be prepared to wait. A few times the attendant has forgotten to open one of the doors of the carwash so people were trying to back out when the carwash was done rather than being able to drive forward, causing a big traffic jam. This would get another star if they would just keep the carwash in good running order and just in better overall condition. It really does feel like they do the bare minimum in terms of up-keep. The carwash must be a gold mine for the owner. Basic car wash costs $8. Note: Situated inbetween Clarendon Blvd and Wilson Blvd -- two one way streets. Also, you must PRE-PAY for the carwash, so don't bother jumping in the long line without either paying while getting gas at the pump or running in to pay the attendant -- you'll get a code to type in to start the carwash. read more

I was pleased with the car wash at this Exxon. I went last night to get the salt off my car. The price is steep ($10 dollars for the premium, $6 for the regular), but the attendant was very friendly. I paid for the car wash at the gas station and then drove in. It was a solid 5 min wash and my car looked pretty decent after. At least the salt was off it. Lazy ppl work here. If you have any problems with vacuum air or car wash. They do their best not to solve your problem. Vacuum machines are scam advertise as 2$ for 5 min but it doesn't last even 2 minutes. The best thing attendant said they are not responsible for vacuum's. Lol read more

AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL. I went here for a car wash. I would never go here for gas since they easily charge 30-40 cents more per gallon than other stations in the area. I pull up to the car wash and the cheapest option is $8. I put $1 in and the machine refuses to take more of my money after that. I call the attendant, he comes to my car and as I explain to him that the machine took $1 and I hand him $7, he attempts to tell me that the cost for a wash is $8, I explain to him two more times what has happened. He keeps looking at me like I'm trying to con him out of $1. Finally, he disappears and comes back with my code. The worst part is that my car is still filthy. It was as if the hood and trunk were not washed a bit. It looks awful. I would definitely recommend spending the extra $5 and taking it to a Mr. Wash where they will vacuum your car as well and it comes out sparkling clean.
