Gary, the owner, is an extremely nice man but, more important, is knowledgeable and helpful. It's easy to spend less money somewhere else, but it's difficult to find better clothing in the Pacific Northwest. The entire staff is just as knowledgeable - Roy in particular is exceptional. She makes a lot of the jewelry in the shop and it's so unique and cool, that alone is worth the stop. She will consider your items for consignment, and I recommend bringing your stuff in while she's there. There are a lot of nice stuff, nothing too high end, but awesome selection of vintage and boho chic. There is men's items too. Prices are pretty reasonable, especially if you're not one to dig for treasures at your local thrift shop. The work is done here and you'll pay for the upgraded service. She guided us through the choices and helped pick a few jeans to try on. My wife found the perfect pair. Had a horrible experience at this store trying to get some alterations done to a dress. When we were eventually seen to, we were treated in a condescending manner, then left to wait another 30 minutes. After the second wait, were we again very poorly treated by another employee. A new sales clerk told me that she couldn't do an even exchange since the to be acquired shirt was no longer on sale and that I would have to pay full price. This made no sense as when I shopped at the store, both shirts were on sale. She called her manager and they would not do an even exchange as it was no longer on sale. The parka jacket was $130 regular price, however, received a 15% discount as her company was listed to receive it. Multiple employees greeted me with warm smiles. This store is really lovely and has two floors. It seemed like most dressing rooms were on the second floor, but they also had an elevator if you needed assistance. There was a large selection of records, wacky books, lounge wear, casual wear, cosmetics, jewelry, shoes, accessories, etc. I'm used to seeing more gag gifts and furniture at UO stores, but perhaps those areas are still being set up or those aren't as big of a presence at this store. Prices were definitely more friendly than its sister store Anthropologie and I think this location will probably do really well. It is nice to have it open now.
