Lovely & classy little restaurant in the Hilton T5. I'm pleased with my experience and will certainly return. Appetizer: scallops Dinner: ostrich in gravy Desert: creme brûlée (Indian style) All that I had tonight was simply amazing.

Naan and a beautiful array of chutneys and curries to start our meal

We had the very lucky experience of sitting right up at the Chef's Table on a weeknight here before catching our plane back to the States the next morning. We chose to do the 5 course tasting menu - alerting the kitchen that I don't eat pork or beef - and they were happy to work with me. The wonderful herbal array of dishes and chutneys was delicious. Like a true journey to India! And we've been to india! So I'd say this was absolutely a fine dining, high end version of the foods you will find in India. The service was great - they didn't serve hard liquor and initially had to tell me no when I orders a martini. But the manager quickly stepped in the remedy the problem by going to the bar upstairs to get the drink for me. Very very classy service.

Chefs in action cooking some wonderful and original dishes for me! The kitchen seating gives a prime view!

Ate at this place while staying at the airport Hilton- we sat at the chefs table so got to watch all the food being prepared right in front of us. Not only was the experience awesome but so was the food we ate. Would definitely recommend this place if you get the chance for both the food and the dining experience.

Quality/Quantity - What a great find, and this review shows…read morethe positive power of Yelp. We discovered this local restaurant through Yelp, and so did the other 2 tables next to us. We found out at the end of our meal that one of the other tables was also from our hotel, a mile walk away. Overall, I think a simple menu done well. We got everything they recommended including the recommended beer from the table next to us. Plain Papadum & Chutney Tray - A must try! Suggestion, these two items should be together on your menu to avoid any confusion on pricing. The sauces also went well with our entree and naan. Tandoori Mix Grill - Good, perfect amount for both of us. As mentioned previously, we are light eaters, especially when traveling. This entree also came with a very light simple salad. Garlic Naan - I can eat this all day! This could even be my meal. After Dinner Chocolates - A nice unexpected touch. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Bathrooms need some TLC, but are functional. Indoor/outdoor dining; everyone ate indoors today. Open 7 days a week. Service - Good, had all 3 wait staff help us. This kind of confused us. They were good at upselling, but all 3 team members tried to upsell us. Not in a bad way, but it kept me laughing. I am a light eater, especially when traveling. They all made light small talk which was nice. It was obvious that everyone eating here was NOT local. They also have online promotions, see their website. Price - 28 pounds + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success, I am so glad that you can benefit from Yelp. See you on our next visit as we were so happy with our hotel we plan to stay there again.

We had the puri with spice prawns, meat samosas and the lamb vindaloo. Each dish was great but the puri with spice prawns was the best. One small thing I didn't like the chutney plate which we did not touch (one of 4 they gave us) was taken from our table -we did not want it - and put on someone else's. Again we did not touch it, but. . . This is forgivable because it was so good.

We were staying in the West Drayton area before our flight home the next morning and still hadn't had any Indian food. We came across Simpson Tandoori and decided to give it a try. We are so thankful that we did because it was a wonderful meal to end our UK adventure! The restaurant is very clean and classy looking. The staff was unbelievably polite, kind and helpful (our sons hadn't eaten Indian food before so our waiter gave some helpful suggestions and modifications to their meal to make it more suitable for a younger child's palette). Also, the staff was helpful with my food allergies (gluten and mushrooms) so I could have a safe and enjoyable meal. We started with some papadums with various dipping sauces. I am not sure what all the sauces were--but one was like a sweet and sour, one was a pineapple or mango, one was spicier with pickled veggies (my personal favorite), one bowl was some chopped veggies and then a yellow sauce that I'm not sure how to describe it other than a flavorful mild sauce. Then, we each ordered a dish without realizing just how much food it would end up being; but it worked out very well because we got to share with each other and taste a bit of everything. The adults ordered: vindaloo chicken, tikka masala, chili tikka masala, garlic rice, pilau rice and the children ordered lamb chops and tandoori chicken (on the starter menu) and some chips. The food came out hot and exactly as we ordered. Everything smelled so good that I only took an overview photo of our table because I was too excited to eat it! I cannot say enough about the quality of food and service we received from this business. But I wish it wasn't an ocean away from us or else it would be a place we would frequently visit. I wish this business all the best and highly recommend it!

Absolutely delicious dinner!…read more We made reservations online about 2 months ago. 5:15 dinner worked well for us since we had a show at 7. We checked in on the lady with the tablet on the right side of the entrance. The left side is for walk ins. Super long line even at 5pm. But they were handing out small glasses of chai and something else. Anyway, the reservation line is short and they sat us right away. We wished we could have sat at the patio - it's covered. We didn't see that until we were already drinking. Well, next time! The ambiance - beautiful spot with lots and lots of tables. Every single one of them was taken. Tons of staff! They take good care of you here. Patrons vary, from dates to family dinners - the whole gamet! Come one, come all! The drinks came out right away. Dishoom IPA and chai. Beer came with a frosted glass. The chai was delicious! The food was amazing! Goan monkfish curry Ruby chicken Saffron cauliflower Garlic naan Basmati rice Everything was superb!
