They have a lot to offer on their menu. The service felt very sub-par and lacking in ambiance. I haven't tried their Taco Tuesday deal, but it's something I'd go back to try. Otherwise, there are better taquerias around the Fremont area.

I see that many people really like this place and maybe I just didn't make the best choices. Or maybe I would have enjoyed the food more from the comfort of home as this is mainly a take-out place, and the eat-in atmosphere is pretty subpar. There is minimal decor, no real silverware, and a napkin dispenser on the wall. The tables were clean, but nothing really felt bright or welcoming. Mostly though, I just didn't enjoy my food. I found the chips to be basic and a little stale, my tostada burnt-tasting, and the ceviche not quite fresh. The shrimp cocktail I ordered was better and included 15 large shrimp which was quite a bargain, but they didn't have tons of flavor despite swimming in a large pool of salsa. Overall, I felt Mr. Taco was average at best and wouldn't look forward to returning.

Came here to visit a co-worker and we went to his go to spot for taco's. Actually pretty good! They have Taco Tuesdays here for $1.50 per!! That's insane, I'd just go here every Tuesdays.... that's cheaper than even making your own! They have an extensive menu as well, it's not small by any means. I got the CA burrito, but for some reason it had rice in it as well, but it was ok, not enough french fries but I'm guessing because there was rice in it. The crispy taco was super good and their verde salsa was pretty good too, not too spicy but didn't lack for flavor at all. Tuesday. Here I come.

Taco Tuesday! Sitting at $1.50 a taco, this was a great value to feast on freshly made tacos with a variety of protein choices. Mr. Taco lives up to its name and serves up a feast of tacos everyday of the week but Tuesday is when it's time to load up! Tucked in a bustling mall shared by big chains and mom and pop shops, Mr. Taco offers indoor dining and takeout orders for a variety of Mexican staples in addition to tacos. If you're in the mood for burritos, they have an infamous "ginormous" burrito which claims to be twice as big as their super burrito. At $32, it's definitely a novelty for me but I suppose if you're looking for a food challenge, you've got one here! Quesadillas, tamales, nachos, breakfast items, Mexican specialties, birria (consome soup is extra cost), and tacos fill up their menu but keep your eyes peeled on advertisements posted on the walls and near the register highlighting their churros too. The churros are filled with cream and at $2 each, it's worth it compared to the ones you get at the amusement parks. The indoor seating is spacious and most patrons get takeout so it's pretty quiet. There is also a TV for some entertainment but since the food comes out quick and fresh, you probably won't stick around too long anyway. Despite the small kitchen and operation (there were only two cooks and one at the register), the meal was fulfilled efficiently and correctly. When the food was served, they offer you sauce (green, red, orange) and limes. Make sure to grab some if you get takeout! We ordered a bunch of their street tacos and they were each filled with a good helping of meat and topped with onions and cilantro. Served on small soft flour tortillas, these handheld bites will be gobbled up but wait a while between each one before you feel the fullness hit far beyond return. Overall, Mr. Taco is the place to go for Taco Tuesdays but for any other day, their extensive menu will be sure to satisfy any craving! The prices are great on Tuesdays and reasonable otherwise, the food is delicious, and the staff is friendly and fast.

The tacos are on the smaller side, but at $1.50 each on Taco Tuesdays I can't complain. I don't think I'd order the tacos outside of the Taco Tuesday deal because they're pretty pricey for the portions. I've definitely had better tacos in the bay area overall but these do the job in a pinch. They're decent if I'm hungry and don't wanna make a long trip and sit in traffic. Maybe I'm just a fat ass, but I would recommend going for a burrito or nachos if you're starving. The restaurant is clean, the food quality is good, and the employees are nice. Everything I've had (super burrito, nachos, tacos) from here was pretty solid. The orange sauce is okay; good but very different from the sauce from La Vic's if that's what you're expecting. You won't be disappointed but you won't be singing high praises either.

I have gone to this place almost every Tuesday for the last month and I gotta say, can't go wrong with dollar tacos This place is next to Mioki Sushi in the Walgreens and McDonalds complex. I think it hasn't been here long because I have notice this spot change owners alot. I am hoping Mr. Taco is here to stay. I have tried all the different meats offerings on the dollar taco and I think Al Pastor is the best. Is it the the most amazing tacos I've ever had? For a dollar, sure is. Lol It does get pretty busy on Tuesdays but fortunately service is pretty quick so you won't be waiting too long. I have tried the Horchata as my drink and it's alright. A bit inconsistent, sometimes too sweet, sometimes perfect so it's a gamble lol Overall, tacos are worth to try atleast once, especially on Taco Tuesdays

After years of passing by Mr. Taco, I finally decided to give them a try for their Taco Tuesday months back and have been returning since. I usually order 8-12 tacos with carne asada, al pastor, and carnitas. I recommend calling ahead to pick up your order, as it does get busy towards dinner time. Tacos are sized a bit smaller for the dollar deal, but nonetheless tasty! Out of the meats I've ordered, I like the carne asada and carnitas the best. Fillings are usually generous for the size and everything tastes great! Overall, I enjoy their tacos and you're definitely getting a bang for your buck. Service is friendly and quick. Will be returning for more Taco Tuesdays!

I love Mr. Taco but $3.75 for this small tamale is a no for me. The food is good but I'll go elsewhere for tamales.

I love Mr Taco and this was my first and last time getting a tamale. It's the same size as a mini taco. Food is good but I'll go elsewhere for tamales.

Super small with not much meat

Food is always great & freshly made... homemade chips are the best! Big fans of their super chicken burritos & carnitas quesadillas.

    Hello. Do you offer catering?

I believe they do. I've done a large order of ginormous burritos -10, which is the closest to catering I've done. Give them a call to confirm,

    Do they have corn tortillas?

    Yes

It's really quiet…read morehere and seems that people rather take it to go than dine here since there's only one person I saw. The place is kinda dark which is probably the reason why. I was scrolling through the menu and I noticed that some of the words were too small to read especially when they're clumped together. When I was trying to order, they were going a bit too fast by not just quickly telling me what to add next, but also added cheese to accumulate the total price of food when I never ordered it. Fast service could be as bad as slow service, because people could feel rushed. I got Al Pastor Bowl and it's really delicious though. I like how all the ingredients were blended together as I keep on eating it. My small issue is that, it wasn't kind of warm enough but not to the point where I have to microwave it. Honestly, I have forgotten what Al pastor is which is why I got it but again, I'll have to look up online what it is. Overall, the food is good but they should slow down a bit when taking customers' orders especially when they're new here. My other suggestion is to replace a menu where all words can be seen easily to read and to space them out.
