They eventually got their storefront and we decided one day we were going to get out there and try them. We walked in pretty early on a Saturday, no one else in the restaurant. Just a couple small tables inside and a couple outside. I ordered the chimichurri beef tacos with rice and black beans, and my wife ordered a burrito bowl and a side of fresh pico and chips. Food seemed to take a while to be made, but it seemed like there were only 2 employees there. Employees were fine for the most part, but pretty indifferent to us being there. When we did get it, we were definitely disappointed. The meat in my tacos had good flavor, but other than that, everything was extremely bland, and my wife felt the same about hers. They were immediately yelled at and told they could not sit there unless they ordered from the dinner menu. My father politely explained that we were ordering sandwiches and that his daughter had just flown in. The owner said it didn't matter--if we weren't ordering off the dinner menu, we had to leave. As a result, we were forced to eat in our car in the middle of winter. Great food does not excuse disrespectful, unkind treatment--especially toward elderly customers. The lack of compassion was shocking, and I will not return.
