Food was good, their shrimp tasted good and their beef could be a bit juicer. Their lemonade was quite lemony so be mindful lol. The atmosphere is nice, clean and small but cute. And the customer service was quite good too. A bit on the more expensive side when it comes to tacos and such
This place is a absolute gem! My husband and I stopped by one Friday evening while we were in Wellington and were so happy we did. Their food and service is awesome! I am not a big fan of corn tortillas so that made the octopus and chorizo tostada not my absolute favourite, but that's a personal thing. My favourites were the crispy fish taco (probably one of the best tacos I have ever had) and the albóndigas. The braised beef taco felt like it was missing something compared to the other tacos but was still very good. Overall though, if you like good Mexican food you won't be disappointed. I still give them a five because of how great it was overall.
It's been a while since I had such delicious quality Mexican food. We came here super hungry on our PEC day trip and needed something to soak up the wine we had all day. We ordered their entire taco menu and also tried a few tostadas. The highlight is the habanero chilli oil on the side, which allowed us to amp up the spice of each tapa to our liking. Favourites from the menu: fish taco, tuna tostada, ceviche tostada, octopus + chorizo tostada. The churro is super light and was gone so quickly. We liked everything from the menu, though if you are trying to filter down your choices, I'll pass on the braised beef taco as the meat was a little dry and didn't have enough fat. The other tacos are a better choice. We sat by the bar, and the bartender serving was an all-star, with excellent service all-around. Use Yelp Waitlist if you're coming by on a busy day to grab a spot.
Visiting Prince Edward County and staying in Wellington County, you wouldn't expect the best restaurant there to be a Mexican restaurant. And yet here it is. La Condesa is a popular joint right on Wellington Main Street. If you don't go before 6pm for dinner, you'll likely have to put yourself on the waitlist. It's that busy! And everything closes by 9pm here, so best to go earlier. Given the proximity to our Airbnb and the limited choices in the area, we ended up visiting La Condesa 3 times on our weekend visit. There's no distinction between the lunch and dinner menu so there isn't a need to go multiple times, but it was just that good! For one of the times, we got dessert for takeout, which is a good idea if you want to bypass the waitlist. Food and service were impeccable! Our favourites include the Tuna Tostada (raw tuna chunks on a crispy tostada for a fusion feel), Spicy Shrimp Taco (you can ask for mild!), and the Cochinita Taco (juicy pork with pickled onion). As for dessert, give the Tres Leches a try! It's a scrumptions cake soaked in Tres Leches sauce. Surprisingly not too sweet and has a creamy, almost cheesy, savouriness to it. Honestly some of the best food we had in PEC and highlights the sad lack of Mexican food in my hometown. :(

Place your bet and watch your dinner plans skip across the fateful wheel and settle where they may. That's why I appreciate La Condesa's wait list feature. It allowed us to get a table around 8pm on a Thursday without much pre planning. La Condesa itself is a highly rated restaurant in Wellington, so we were doubly lucky our number came in that night. We started with the ceviche tostada. Beautiful flavours...perhaps my favourite combination in fact of red onion, cilantro, fresh tomato, and jalapeño heat. Moved on to tacos. The crispy fish was perfect. The braised beef was tasty and had lots of heat. I needed to pace myself but enjoyed every bead of sweat and breath of fire. You know when spicy food hits that zone that is thrilling without being uncomfortable? Bingo. Finished with the churros. Gluten free on offer. I don't have anything against gluten but will tolerate rice flour or other substitutes as long as it tastes good. And these churros tasted good. Friendly service. Fun atmosphere. If you're in the county and in the mood for fresh Mexican with clean heat, and crisp ingredients, get yourself on the La Condesa wait list and ole!
I enjoyed the vibe, the tacos and the overall experience. It gets very busy, so make sure you have a reservation. You order a few dishes and share amongst the table.
La Condesa provides a fantastic Mexican experience with a wide array of classics. The seafood in particular was quite well seasoned. The fish taco in particular was flavourful and so crunchy! The restaurant itself is quite roomy and well decorated, and there's also a shaded patio with room for a few parties: great for the Summer in PEC. The service is attentive and very friendly - they definitely work with tourists a bit.

You need to sign in a virtual wait list to get a table at 2 pm (technically not peak hour) The decor is nice inside and they offer a variety of tacos. We started with guac and chips and it was really good and fresh. All tacos were great. Wish the tuna had a zest of lime would have been more flavourful! And unfortunately their fish tacos are beer battered (we can't have alcohol) so we missed tasting that one! Otherwise some tacos took quiet some time (the kids chicken tacos) and they wanted them with no onions and still came with onions which made their wait even longer. Otherwise our hostess was kind and she kept a smile although it was quiet busy!

The crust was thin: they were the thinnest tostadas ever. The guacamole amount was generous. Octopus was better than Ceviche. Beer Battered Fish Taco was smaller than tostada. It was decent: not that crispy but with a nice creamy sauce. The fish & the ceviche were similar. Churros were pretty good: warm, crispy & light. Dulce de leche sauce was good.
This is a cute place to dine in when you're visiting PEC. Mexican tapas are very yummy here and very easy to share! Shrimp diablo and their fried fish taco were my favourites!
Nicely decorated space, food has good presentation and service was friendly. Price is slightly on the higher side for what it is. We came on a Friday evening for an early dinner. It was busy but didn't have to wait. Our favorites were fish and chicken tacos. However, some of the filling has so much sauce/juice that the shell was breaking, making it hard to pick up. Overall an enjoyable experience.
Great little Mexican blade in Bloomfield! We stopped in to order some takeout. Service was very quick, only waited 10 minutes for food for two. We ordered: Black bean soup: I was craving something warm and soothing. This really hit the spot. Came with fries tortilla strips, avocado, queso, and some sour cream. Nice hearty soup. Tuna tostado: Amazing! Super tasty and remained nice and crispy after a 20 minute drive. Large chunks of tuna, nice layer of avocado and good amount of heat. Both tacos were tasty but I feel they would've been much better to have in person in the restaurant. Argentinian shrimp taco: good amount of small shrimps, saucy, good toppings. Fish taco: Huge piece of fried fish with cabbage and a tasty sauce. Très léchés: So good! Moist, not too sweet! Everything was packaged very nicely.

Best Mexican restaurant I've been to in a while. The service was great and don't forgot to leave with one of their bottles of in house habenero oil. They don't take reservations but you can get on their online waitlist. All their food was amazing. We got the tuna tostada, chorizo and octopus tostada, elote, one of each type of taco, and the tres leches. We also got the mezcalita sour, which was the best sour we've had in a while. Unfortunately the tres leches was pretty bad. It was so dry and topped with way too much whipped cream to make up for it. But you really can't go wrong with any main course dish. My favorites were both the tostadas and the shrimp taco. The shrimp is cooked so well and every single bite is tender. read more
Ordered takeout and the food was so good! We got a fish taco and a pork taco, which were pretty average. However we got a tuna tostada and it stole the show! I still think about it and wish we got seconds. The shell was perfectly crispy, layered with guac and salsa and had fresh tuna on top. 10/10 recommend We also got chips and guac as a side, and I found the guac on its own a bit too thick. (Late post) We visited in October and fell in love with their tres leches cake! It was as delicious as it was beautiful. Tacos and cocktails were also pretty good. We didn't quite enjoy the quesadilla because it was too salty for us. We also had to get our servers attention for water and the bill....but think COVID is responsible for the understaffing situation. read more

We had a fantastic lunch at La Condesa during our recent visit to the County. First off, they do an amazing job in terms of COVID safety, the spaced apart tables are labeled whether they have been sanitized yet. A staff member provides clear instructions on expectations when you are first led into the restaurant and they use QR codes to access their menus (laminated menus are also available if necessary). In general, you can tell everyone takes what they do seriously, which I can't say about all establishments. The service was speedy, friendly and our server/bartender was highly knowledgeable. We ordered a ceviche tostada to start. Good size portion to share, very fresh and flavourful. Then we each ordered two tacos. Glad we didn't order more because even though the tacos are bit more money than what I'd normally pay ($6 each), they were pretty big, filling and delicious. Also, we were impressed to learn that the tortillas are made to order (by hand of course)! Finally, we really enjoyed the tres leches (vanilla cake with 3 milks), quite different from anything we've had anywhere else. It was not heavy or too sweet and because it was chilled, actually perfect for a hot summer day! No doubt, we'll be heading back here next time we're visiting PEC. read more

True score: 4.5-stars To find a delicious Mexican out in the country is rare, so this was a pleasant surprise for my friends and I. We went to PEC for a day trip of sightseeing and wine tasting, but we got hungry and was looking for more selection that what was being offered at the wine vineyards. We proceeded to order a glass of watermelon rose sangria each to start, while we perused the menu. I ordered guacamole (plentiful) & chips (not enough, but our server was kind enough to give us another bowl to share), ceviche (shrimp was sweet & seasoned well), lechon y chicharon (the chicharon gave this texture) taco and fish taco (fish was lightly battered, but was so big, I had to eat this with a fork and knife, but I'm not complaining because it was yummy). My friends ordered taco de bistec, barbacoa, enchiladas mixcas de picadillo. The service was excellent. Friendly and every attentive staff. I wish this was closer to me! read more

Simply amazing! Boyfriend and I were having a hard time finding a good restaurant for our last evening in PEC, this place was a god send. Service is wonderful, things come out quickly, and the food is fantastic! The ceviche and fish tacos are must haves. Cocktails are strong and delicious. We will definitely come back next time we're in town. read more

We ordered 3 tostadas, our favourite was the octopus one. If you can't handle heat, you can ask for the pepper and oil to be served on the side so you can can control the spice level. Staff are very friendly and seating is comfortable. We also ordered two tacos. Would come back to try other things on the menu! read more

Unbelievable food and drinks. Gorgeous place with lots of character. The watermelon rose sangria is absolutely delicious, and not brutally sweet, either. The tuna tostada, mushroom taco, spicy shrimp taco, and pollo asado taco were all amazing. read more

The food is amazing! Make sure to put your name on the waitlist, it does take a while but well worth the wait. We started with some guacamole and chips, then followed with the ceviche, octopus and tuna tostadas. The shrimp tacos was super delicious and everything was prepared to perfection. To end the night we got the tres leches which was undoubtedly my favourite part. The cocktail menu was also very extensive and you'll be sure to find something you like, we got the zona Rosa and the aperol spritz We loved it so much we went back for lunch that same weekend! read more

thank you for such a delicious dinner. - service was great from everyone who served us - very accommodating - the spicy margarita was - guacamole delicious - as were the fresh chips - corn tortillas made to order - vegan and vegetarian options - The tuna tostada - I wanna eat it every day - music fit the vibe - decor on point but simple - the bathrooms are gorgeous - that tile! And sinks! - pork taco was melt in your mouth amazing - dessert it churros or tres leche- doing it right!! - street parking available - closed Wednesday They bring out the food as it's ready - so it's hot and fresh. Order and then just keep ordering haha I would DEF recommend. Could easily be a place on Toronto but better because it's in PEC - i really hope they are successful!!! read more
