We had a HORRIBLE experience with Mr. Storage. My daughter needed a storage unit, but the one she found (with help from Diane who runs the place) was much too small (my daughter asked for an opinion if her queen size bed, bedside table, desk, large recliner sofa, dining room table and chairs, coffee table, bookshelf, and multiple boxes would fit, and was told it would). On moving day when it was obvious to my husband and my daughter's friends that the furniture and boxes that they had loaded into the moving van would not fit, my daughter went to the office to say that the unit was too small and that she would not be using it, but no one was there anymore (this was during business hours). My daughter called Diane to tell her this, and was told that she would have to come by later, but that she would get her money back. My daughter came back later that afternoon during business hours, but no one was there once again. She made several phone calls to try to resolve the matter, but no one would answer the phone. When she finally got an answer on the next day, the man who answered the phone was not able to help or instruct her how to handle the matter. My daughter asked the man to have Diane call her, and to tell Diane that she would be leaving to go out of town shortly. Diane did not call back until 3 days later, when my daughter was already out of the state. When my daughter got back in town, she had to work every day. She did not want to try to go by again because the location is very inconvenient to reach. When she had her first day off and finally got hold of Diane, Diane told her that she was going to prorate the refund because my daughter had not left a written message that she was not going to rent the unit. Diane NEVER told my daughter that she needed to do this, and said multiple times, "I don't care" when we explained the situation. She did not try to work with us AT ALL. My daughter works very hard for her money, and Diane could not have been any more unpleasant and rude on the phone and in person. read more
