I don't usually do reviews but if you are in need of a new sewer it's really hard to know who to go with. Maybe a once in a lifetime thing. These guys were highly recommended to me by a plumber and I was not disappointed. If you need a sewer replacement I would highly recommend Sewer and Pipeline. Especially if you need work done in the street. They have the Engineering licence to do this which most companies do not. So others would probably subcontract your job to someone like sewer and pipeline. They were so professional. The owner came out to do the measurements and quote. The price was in the middle of what we were quoted but they do everything by the book with all the permits and total replacement of the line. Others were quoting liners or partial replacement so this was by far the best value for a permanent solution. Ours was a bit tricky with lots of utilities near the pipes but they were able to carefully avoid them. The crew was tidy and polite and hard workers! Very happy to have found them. Shady company. Theft. Do not hire unless you want problems with your neighbors. This company was hired by a neighbor of ours in 2023. While they were doing work on our street they connected their hose to our private water spigot and was using our water for hours. They only stopped after I went out to ask for their company phone number. When I called to ask for reimbursement, the woman who answered the phone laughed at me and told me to email them. I emailed them video proof and our water bill to ask for reimbursement. I followed up shortly after. No response - no reimbursement, no apology, no acknowledgement what so ever. If this is way they handle business then you might want to think twice about whether you trust them on and with your property. read more

My partner and I hired Mr. Sewer back in April to replace/fix a big portion of our sewer. We got quotes from a few different companies, and Mr. Sewer Rooter's quote was pretty comparable to the other companies. We decided to hire Mr. Sewer Rooter, because when Robert came out to give a quote, he was very thorough in assessing the situation. We felt confident that the project wasn't going to change or escalate mid-way through. Also, we asked Robert a lot of questions and even called him a few times before committing to the project, and he was always open to talking to us and explained things very clearly. They were able to start the work soon after and kept on schedule. We had a few minor requests along the way which they were amenable to. For example, when they had to trench under our floor we asked them to cut the carpet a specific way so that we could put it back down after, and they did that exactly how we asked. Also - we didn't even ask for this - but they even added a cleanout in the back of our backyard for us, so that we can more easily monitor our sewer pipe that goes into the back alley, and (if I understood correctly) so that if there is an issue back there, the sewer will backup into our yard instead of inside of our house. We paid a 10% deposit when we committed to the project, then another 30% mid-way through the project, then the final 60% upon completion. They accepted online payment with credit card, which was nice. We really liked working with Mr. Sewer Rooter and would recommend them to anyone. read more

Dishonest company. I was charged $600 for a Hydro clean out and within seven days the same problem persisted. I was then charged $150 them to come out for the same issue. They tried to sell me a new pipe for 7,000. Saying the pipe had a crack and was old. I told them them i didnt have 7k and they told me it wasn't an emergency but would need to be done eventually. The same day of the hydro flush, I spoke with another plumber and sent the video this company gave me. The other plumber told me he didn't see a crack and many pipes have rust but he noticed there was a slow flow. It challenging because you never know what plumbers will do for MOENY. It is my belief this company knew they didn't fix the issue or intentionally left something in the pipe to come back. read more

I hired Robert and Mr Sewer Rooter for a replacement of a clay pipe section of my sewer line a few months ago. They were the most affordable estimate by far, and were quick, communicative and efficient. Then a few months later we had a plumbing disaster with our house's drain system leaking under our crawl space. Robert was super quick to come out and diagnose the problem, and uncovered some major issues we were glad to have addressed for good. I had an estimate and potential start date within 24 hours, and he also recommended a great restoration company. His team uncovered other issues after excavating the site (the original leak had cracked our main sewer line), but they addressed that too and had it all done on the original timeline- they're great and underpromising and over delivering! While it was a totally unexpected expense and left us in a rental for a few days, Robert & co were fast, communicative (we got photos and videos of everything they were seeing) and had us back in the house asap. read more

Robert told me his price right away and he could come Friday at 11am. Henry showed up at 11am sharp the Friday. Worked all day to dig about 4.5'. Was too late to complete the job Friday so he came back Saturday at 8am with Robert and his tools as they had a hard time locating the pipe precisely. Had a great experience with Mr. Sewer Rooter 2 years ago for some basic hydro-jetting and a cam inspection. However, I recently used them again for 2-year maintenance and explicitly asked for a digital copy of the video at least 3x. Never received a video, despite multiple promises. Hydro-jetting was suspiciously quick (10 min) compared to years' past. And after they found a crack in my line, there was absolutely zero follow up on what the next steps were. $425 for a 10 minute job, no digital footage (despite multiple requests), and no follow up from staff on what to do next. I get hydro-jetting and cam work done every 2 years and after this experience, I would 100% not use this company again. I'd urge you to find someone else as well. read more

In a desire to put my home up for sale, as a precaution, I had an inspection performed to see if there were any items I needed to address. It became one of those times I did the right thing. Much to my surprise after having a camera inspection of my sewer line I was told there seems to be breakage along the pipe. But really I never have had any problems with my drainage and no backups to worry about. Doing diligence I went ahead and obtained several opinions. Then I found Robert Chamul of Mr. Sewer Rooter and Plumbing. He is also known for his expertise in sewer pipes. This was the best move I ever made. I will admit having sewer problems is a costly job but the crew that works for Robert are exceptional. Yes we had to get city permits and had some city hick ups but all in all the job went smoothly. Used this company for a job a while back. My estimate went from $200 to $10,000. They seemed upset when I obviously went to get a second opinion from someone else. We did have to go with them since the connection to the city's main line was broken. They charged us for traffic guards, repaving the sidewalk, and a bunch of other frivolous stuff. Then, they didn't provide any of that! No traffic guard was there and I had to call them back out to get them to pave the sidewalk which was uneven and a tripping hazard - even though I paid for all of that in the contract!Then they dragged their feet for 6 MONTHS to file the final paperwork with the city too. I called repeatedly to get them to file it and finally they did. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They will charge you for everything and not provide the services they bill you for. In response to your comment: Yup, and this response is exactly the costumer service you should expect from this company. Well, we did it? Yeah, after I called and told you it was subpar! Robert came out to my older home in Glendale, and he and his team quickly diagnosed the problem. This was no easy task, given the age of the home, and the largely illogical lay-out of the main line as it traversed and disappeared under complex hardscape. Robert and his team tracked the trajectory of the main line using a camera and transponder, and then presented various options on-site to remediate the problem. They also installed a new clean-out so that future maintenance and diagnosis would be easier. Out of all the contracts we reviewed, Mr. Sewer Rooter's materials' warranty was the best. Best of all, he was open to several contract amendments to ensure we were both protected; some contractors might not be too happy about that, but Rob was cool about it. I have to note that Rob and his crew were extremely careful about the trees in my backyard and my lawn. Unless you knew where to look, you'd never be able to tell that the area was trenched. Every single piece of mulch and rock was returned to its original position. One of the contractors accidentally broke off a piece of my gate, and Rob replaced it without hesitation immediately. It's been a few months since the initial work and we've found additional major issues. The gas line to our dryer leaks (We've had multiple people walk into our garage where the washer and dryer is and say instantly that it smells like gas), the exhaust from our dryer to the outside of the house constantly disconnects, the water line to our washer constantly disconnects and leaks. They left major plumbing under our house disconnected; for weeks (until we had another plumber come in), our guest bathroom sink drained onto the ground under our foundation... it literally didn't drain anywhere. They refused to accept responsibility, ruined our property, and we ended up having to pay another plumber thousands of dollars to fix their mistakes. So I found these guys on Thumbtack. Don replied to me asap and was very proactive in getting my business. I recently purchased an older home and needed some upgrading of the plumbing system because it didn't have a water pressure regulator. So of course I sent out a massive amount of quotes on every single app I can find, Yelp, home advisor, nextdoor, and thumbtack. I got a lot of responses but none were as proactive and approachable as Don was. Prior to Don, I actually got a couple of other companies to come out and give me an estimate. Honestly the bids were pretty similar, but what won me over was Don's professionalism and friendliness. He's always cracking jokes to ease my nervousness cause he knows I'm a first time home owner and I'm worried about everything. Having just bought a house, money is a little tight for me, so Don let me know what issues I should prioritize and what could wait. Since I am a complete newbie at this homeownership thing, I wanted to get the work permitted and Don said he totally understands and got it done asap included in this estimate!
