Colton and Danathan Turrieta were persistent in solving a stubborn drain blockage that we had unsuccessfully tried to clear multiple times with standard drain cleaners. Sent this company over to my 86 year old mother in laws house to clear a sewer line and rescope it. They wanted $2,500 to hydro jet (fancy word for power washing) the line and do a camera scope but "generously" offered to come down to $1,800. Caused water damage resulting in water leaking through my ceiling into the story below and all over my furniture from a simple copper pipe repair. Also installed expansion tank in such a way that it cannot be accessed to check pressure. When I called and spoke to "Manager John" he agreed that he would send someone out to fix the expansion tank install free of charge. When tech Josh arrived the work which was promised to be free was now $400. Horrible business practices and lack of accountability. So many better plumbers out there. read more

I was selling my home and one of the things the new buyers wanted was the sewer line cleaned out. I called and they said it would be $95. I said to the gal on the phone that another company had quoted me over $700 so are we sure we're talking about the same thing and she said yes it'll only be $95 so I scheduled it. They get there and of course it's not going to be $95 (shocker, I know) but it would be $445. I show the guy the video from the inspection report and the inspection report itself. He says he is taking care of it. Fine. It takes him a couple hours longer than he said, he is obviously struggling with something and he says he can't figure out where my sewer line goes.... I'm thinking - don't you have a camera? But okay, whatever as long as he gets the job done. He "cleans" everything up and says it's done. After calling the company multiple times to get the video sent to me, I finally get the video and send it to the new buyers. They immediately reply and say the inspection wanted him to go 150 feet, he only went 100 feet. Now I'm up against a serious deadline for closing, I call them back and ask and the manager says I'm their top priority blah blah blah because it wasn't done the first time (even tho I showed the guy the inspection report) so he's going to discount me for coming back out. Why am I paying anything for you to come back out is what I want to know but I need to get this done so at this point I have to pay whatever he says or I'm not selling my house. He says $195 and that they'll be there on Tuesday 12:00-2:00. Well 2:00 on Tuesday comes and I call the company because I still hadn't heard anything. The gal says "you're next on our list, we're just running behind"... okay. 10 minutes later I get a call from said manager again and he says they have to reschedule me because of issues. I close on Thursday. He says they will be there first thing on Wednesday morning. The new guy gets there on Wednesday morning (he was great and knowledgeable and I wish I dealt with him from the very beginning). He says the manager quoted me wrong because he assumed the toilet was already pulled. WHAT?! So long story short... the city line starts at 108 feet... why could no one tell me that? Why did I pay anything again? Why did the manager mis quote me? The second round cost me $250 when it should have been zero. All in all, don't try and save money by going with these guys. Just pay the other company... less headaches, less money and less non sense. Never again. read more

Scam artist Main line was completely clogged. Called Mr Rooter out. They snaked it then scoped it. Said the old clay pipe in the front yard completely collapsed and needed replacement. Quoted us $10k. They said home owners insurance would cover it. Even helped on that end. So they rip up the front yard and replace the old clay with pvc. And as they're replacing it they come and say the connection to the main in the street needs replaced, another $6k. Sneaky thieving bastards. Insurance only covered the $10k. Front yard is completely wrecked. Felt like we had no choice but to get extorted for the other $6k outta pocket. Stay away from this company. They're dishonest and will scam you when you're already at your lowest. read more

Seniors Beware!!!! I called the to unclogged my toilet and there was a $95 flat rate to do that. After guy came, he informed me that he couldn't the toilet that I needed to have him move the toilet out to try it and that would be an additional $200 so I agree to that after moving the toilet out to it he then said he still couldn't unclog it and that he would need to cut a hole in the wall to go in to clean a trap. He couldn't do that that evening and he would need to send two plumbers the following morning to do that . He agreed to complete the work and return the wall the way it was before. He then informed me that it would be $650 for the plumbers to come out and cut into the wall to put in a new pipe and I would need to pay them pay him in advance before the plumbers come the next day. I paid him the additional money they came out cut a hole in my wall put a pipe in and they left they did not fix the wall when the plumber came back. He tried once again and he said he still could not unclogged the pipes and that I probably needed to replace and get new pipes. And he said that would cost me three to $4000. At that point, I said no I will not agree to do anything else since all I ask is to toilet. I do believe that I was rip ripped off because I'm a senior and the more things he offered that I he came up with more and more money for a $95 call to unplug my I was told by the I would need to fix the hole in the wall myself because they don't do that . I do believe that I was scammed and ripped off because I am a senior and I think other seniors should be aware of this. Originally had our own handyman out to replace our shower head and spout/faucet but his work ended up causing a leak in our basement. We urgently called Mr. Rooter on a Sunday evening and the office scheduled an appointment for us quickly, the very next morning. Camden came out, was super friendly and diagnosed the issue quickly. He was able to repair the leak and all worked great with the new shower head and faucet. About a week later, we started noticing a small constant drip from the bath spout and called Mr. Rooter again. They were able to dispatch someone same day, turns out Camden was returning and came out earlier than his schedule time. He found the source of the problem (from handy man's original "fix") was a piece of plastic stuck inside the faucet handle. He went out to grab some parts and was quick to diagnose, get parts and repair in less than 2 hours! 2nd trip was pricier than we hoped but was worth the quick fix and quality service that Camden and the office team provided. Service like that can be hard to come by, so we will be calling Mr. Rooter for future services! Thanks!! read more

WAY OVERPRICED. We had Mr Rooter out to snake a drain line for us which was at a great price, $95, but that quickly escalated to needing to dig through our foundation and replace a section of pipe. After the initial work was done they recommended some additional work that needed to be done. At this point we got an additional quote, which we should have done way sooner. The next quote from a plumber who was referred to us was half the price of Mr Rooter's. I requested a refund for the parts of the work that were incomplete and was denied the refund. Definitely threw away a few thousand dollars by going with Mr Rooter. read more

There were 2 items I saw on the camera scope for my client's home inspection that were concerning. He took his time and was very thorough, and actually presented those items that were extracted from the line about 80 feet out! I had to take a photo, because I only thought they could force items down into the sewer, not actually grab them out! How gratifying! Thanks Hunter! ??? I'm not sure how to rate these guys but I kind of feel like I was taken to the cleaners - but I don't know for sure! They did a routine sewer cleaning. Said that the end of my pipe had collapsed - would be $10K to replace (including $5K to hook up to the city line) - which I didn't understand cuz we had already been hooked up for eons! They did a great job - I watched it/was on site for the two days they worked. The crew was efficient/nice/didn't speak any English - but it seemed like they were good workers and knew what they were doing/cleaned up everything, etc. Never saw the superviser again after initial contact. Did I need this done? I'm not sure but kind of feel like maybe not. Get a second opinion! read more

We had someone come to our house today to check a leak we had in the bathroom. The young man looked at the problem - that my husband had attempted to fix and told us that yes, it was fixed. He could have tried to talk us into things we didn't need but he didn't. He just told us to call when we needed them. I will most certainly do that. Finding an honest company is rare. If I could give a zero, I would! I set up an appointment for a drain clean in Rustic, Colorado for a 12PM-4PM timeframe. Seemed like a simple job and thier ads say they are trustworthy. They called me at 2:45 and said someone would be there as soon as they finished another job. I waited until 4PM and called to check the status and they said it would be before 6PM. I called them an hour later and was told that nobody would be coming that day as they had an emergency situation and only 1 plumber available. They tried to reschedule, but I drove 2+ hours from the Denver suburbs to be there and was busy the rest of the weeks and going out of town the following week....plus why would I trust them when they already left me hanging. I know it's often difficult to get service in the foothills and mountain regions, but they're lack of care and communication made it so I had to shut down the seasonal cabin for the winter without getting the sewer cleared. Guess I'll find someone (anyone) else next year when I re-open the cabin in the spring. Poor professional attitude and communication = 0 stars from me! read more

Predatory business practices! We've had this company out 3 times in the last two years and now I'm realizing why. We have roots in our sewer pipe and the cutting blade they use on their auger is intentionally too small to get the job done. They always act like we're at a crisis point so they can upsell additional services. Roto-rooter did a MUCH better job with the proper tools and didn't try to pressure us into doing something that we didn't need. TL;DR: you get what you pay for! Had a very slow bathroom drain that needed to be snaked. A very nice technician came out and did, in fact, clear the drain which he accessed after removing the p-trap under the sink in the cabinet. I'd completely cleaned out the cabinet so that it would be empty. I left him to do his work. When I returned, the drain was working, but OMG there was black sludge mess EVERYWHERE! and I mean everywhere! The entire inside of my bathroom cabinet is now black with sludge which he smeared everywhere in an attempt to clean up. What was once golden oak is now black sludge color. The cream carpet in front of my oak cabinet is now filled with black stain sludge goop blobs which, so far, are not coming out. It will need to be replaced. The technician didn't even attempt to put down some plastic or protective cloth to catch this uncleanable goop. He should have taken basic precautions to protect my home. I'm sure this is not the first time he's had to deal with black sludge and knows how damaging it is. Taking virtually no precautions to protect my cabinet and carpet is negligent at best. My suggestion is for you to think twice before hiring this company. You may get your clog removed but you will then potentially have another project to work on created by the service tech. I've had a drain snaked in the past by a different company and NEVER had the negligent mess occur that this person left me. read more

Beware of Mr. Rooter: Dishonest Practices, Shoddy Work, and High-Pressure Tactics I am extremely disappointed and feel completely taken advantage of by Mr. Rooter. We called them to address a backup issue in our upstairs bathroom, and what followed was a frustrating and expensive ordeal. Their team tried to clear the line with a snake but failed. They used a camera and told us there was a broken pipe under the garage. Based on their recommendation, we paid $6,000 to break open our garage floor and replace part of the pipe. After this, they claimed to have found additional damage leading into the house under the basement, quoting another $11,000 for further repairs. At this point, we requested the camera footage and sought a second opinion from another company. The second company informed us that the pipe was dirty with sediment and scale but showed no visible cracks or damage. They proceeded to clean the pipe, re-examine it with a camera, and confirmed that there was no damage warranting replacement. When I called Mr. Rooter to address this, the supervisor, Karl, defensively insisted the damage was real and even accused the second company of trying to scam me--how ridiculous! The second company had no reason to lie, as they provided clear evidence that the pipe was clean and intact. To make matters worse, when we asked Mr. Rooter for evidence that the initial repair was justified, they sent us a blurry video where nothing could be seen. They also admitted they couldn't provide photos of the pipe they removed or the removed pipe itself. How are customers supposed to trust their diagnosis when they provide no solid proof? Adding insult to injury, Mr. Rooter charged us $90 to remove a toilet but didn't even reinstall it properly. We had to hire another plumber to fix their work and properly caulk the toilet to the floor. This entire ordeal feels like a high-pressure scheme to coerce customers into unnecessary and costly repairs. Karl and his team pushed hard for quick decisions, repeatedly emphasizing that the crew was "just around the corner" to start repairs. This urgency felt manipulative and designed to pressure us into signing agreements without time to seek a second opinion. At the very least, a reputable company should provide clear, documented evidence before demanding thousands of dollars. Mr. Rooter failed to do this, as they cannot provide credible evidence for their original diagnosis. The lack of transparency, false loan claims, and their shoddy work are unacceptable. Stay far away from this company. They either lack competence, operate unethically, or both. I regret trusting them, and I hope this review helps others avoid falling into the same trap. read more

fraud alert! I tried using Mr. rooter during the holiday because my usual guy wasn't working. they showed up decided the access point that my guy uses. Every year was not adequate and up charged me $150 to pull the toilet 30 minutes later they called and said they found an obstruction and they needed to put a camera in it for an additional $250 I saw the red flag told them to stop. I paid them as them asked them to reset the toilet and leave. the next day Jake the snake came And had the line cleared within 30 minutes. with no problems. for half of what I paid for nothing with Mr rooter. read more

As many others leaving feedback for Mr Rooter have previously commented, I would give a 0 star rating if possible. We recently bought a new home and after moving in we found ourselves with a clogged basement drain (sink + toilet + shower) where it merges with the main sewer line. We called and set up a same day $95 clean-out knowing the exact issue, and expecting a quick resolution. The tech arrived and was working through the cleanouts outside and came back inside and said that he was running into an unpenetrable clog running out to the sewer, and that he was recommending his supervisor come out to complete a $300 sewer scope to identify the problem. I let him know that we recently had the main sewer line cleaned out, and it was highly unlikely that it was clogged. He agreed to go back out and take another shot - but came back in saying the main line was completely clogged and even showed me some roots and plastic that he had pulled out of the sewer. What this tech did not realize was that as part of the home-buying process from 3 weeks earlier, the previous owners had actually completely replaced the main sewer line! There was no way this line was clogged with roots and plastic! We declined the scope (which was then offered at half-price for $150), and called another plumber. When that plumber arrived, he had a camera with him and scoped the completely clogged line (according to Mr. Rooter) - and to no one's surprise, it was as a clean as a whistle. The horrific thing about this scam is that the tech *brought the roots and plastic with him* - and pretended to pull it out of our sewer. I can't think of any more clear and obvious fraud they could have committed in this instance.. Thankfully we were only out $95 for this experience, but don't let our mistake become your mistake: avoid Mr Rooter at all costs! read more
