The only fruit they had was mango and strawberries. We opted for a Mango Bingsu, based on the photos displayed and we enjoy the sweetness and softness of mango. The bingsu we received was topped with what can ONLY be described as FROZEN mango and still not yet defrosted. Never in my wildest imagination did I ever think that it would be served with frozen mango which is usually used for blending smoothies!! My partner did not want to return the barely edible bingsu. The favourite on the dessert was the single small scoop of green tea ice-cream which formed the "leaf" of the strawberry decoration. I truly do recommend getting your bingsu fix elsewhere. I won't be returning. The store is located in the eatery section of H Mart, with ample parking outside in the plaza. PS on further reflection of my review, perhaps I was expecting fresh mango and nowhere on the menu did it specify that the Mango Bingsu is served with fresh mango. Lesson learned.

La Rocca also sells their cakes via some supermarket chains, whole cakes sold in chain stores priced a few dollars lower than La Rocca store (see attached photos for same cake, Loblaw sold $32, La Rocca sold $36), is this because La Rocca store sells fresher cakes than supermarket chains as I wonder why the price difference! I tried 2 of their roll cakes and 6 mochi and can confirm that their desserts aren't too sweet. Their mochi is also amazing - delicious flavours and the mochi skin is super thin. They also only allow preorders for their pancakes, which I'll do next time! The girl at the counter recommended the Nutella banana mochi, and even though I don't really like Nutella, it might have been my favourite one!! The fruity ones also have real fruit - strongly recommend strawberry and mango.

When I drove here the first time, I used Waze and didn't arrive successfully. Whether using a driving app, such as Google Maps or Waze, it led me to the wrong building. Both referenced building A. The address has this store being a part of building D. It's basically the building across from A, but the east side. In other words, you are driving along the third-last aisle that's parallel to Leslie. Waze has corrected the issue. Google Maps hasn't. Use Waze to get here. There were plenty of parking spots in front of the store. It was shaded there. I backed into a spot both times and walked in. I got a different female staffers on both visits. They were both helpful and warm. I have had the matcha KitKat mochi, which had bits of KitKat. Each mochi is individually enclosed in a box. It feels like opening a jewellery box. The mochi is delicate and a decent size. I am not a huge whipped cream person. However, the KitKat was broken up into two pieces and surrounded by the whipped cream. The filling was amazing! It was light and yummy. The mochi had matcha powder on top. It had a subtle matcha taste. The mochi was delicate, but still strong enough to hold in the filling. It was so soft and almost malleable. It was the best mochi that I have had in eons! This visit, I got a six-pack of these mochi flavours: - Mango - Pineapple coconut - Lychee - Golden kiwi - Nutella banana - Strawberry banana If you get six or more mochi, you save a bit. If you pay with cash, the tax is waived off. The mango mochi was awesome! It had diced mango mixed in with the whipped cream. It was dreamy. I got to sample a strawberry marshmallow bar during my first visit. It's not really a bar. It's more of a square. I loved the strawberry flavour. It was slightly sweet. The marshmallow is an experience. It's not squishy like a typical marshmallow. It's crispy on the outside, but softish and moist inside. It's pretty cool. It's not quite dehydrated, but it's halfway there. I got the honeydew marshmallow bars in a little bag last time. They had a natural sweetness to it thanks to the honeydew. It was so good. This time, I got a jar of strawberry marshmallow bars. They still taste as yummy as the first time I had one. Delicious! I ended up getting a couple of cake rolls during my first visit. Both flavours, the taro lychee and ube coconut, were still available this return visit. I rattled off everything that I had bought the last time that the nice woman during my most recent visit gave me a chocolate Oreo cake on the house. Wow! I wasn't expecting that kind gesture at all. The chocolate Oreo cake is decadent. There's chocolate pudding in the middle that is divine! I loved the other two flavours, but the chocolate Oreo is now my new favourite flavour. This place accepts credit and debit cards as payment methods. I used a credit card both times. You can tip if you'd like. All desserts are slightly sweet, with the mochi being a touch sweeter than the cake rolls. If you are like me who doesn't like overly sugary items, the desserts at this store are for you. This place is such a gem. I originally had one mochi. It was not enough! I wanted more and returned to indulge some more. If you love mochi and unique desserts, like marshmallow bars, come here. You won't be disappointed. (333)

MANGO PANCAKE 芒果班戟 - 8.99 This was so good, especially the thin and elastic skin that wrapped the contents (cake and whipped cream). The mango flavor was strong and the dessert itself had the texture of a fluffy and bouncy cake rather than a pancake (I'm used to flat pancakes). Me and my sister got the mango matcha latte and the peach matcha latte and we absolutely loved it. My sister's a matcha aficionado and she loved their matcha latte. I would say that the matcha is quite expensive but I could tell that it is high quality which makes up for it. I spent about $24 for 2 of the large sized matcha lattes. The puffs are made to order, with so many flavours to choose from. You can purchase half dozen, dozen, and up, and mix the flavours for each half dozen. We bought a combo box of Oreo and Nutella. You can watch the staff preparing the dough in the kitchen, and while they add your toppings at the counter. Idk if they somehow learned about it being a birthday visit, or this is usual, but we got a baker's dozen. I'll take that puff instead of a cherry on top for sure, because they were delicious. They are on the sweet side. Our drinks were also on the sweet side but delicious. The coffee is freshly ground on order and everything tasted fresh. We both opted for coffee based cold drinks but they have slushees, fruity and I think some tea options. The coffee was nice and strong without tasting bitter. The seating was a little odd, cute little stools in line with the honeycomb decor as opposed to chairs. The space felt really open, like your conversation can be heard all around. Luckily I was on my way to lunch and their current location was kind of on the way, so stopped by to get a drink. Tucked away in an industrial area, I literally walked through a garage door to walk in (although they do have an actual door) since it's left open on days with good weather. No posted billboard type menu, but they ask you to scan a QR code that links to it. I'm definitely a latte type of person, so that's what I ended up ordering, even though their pour over menu was so extensive!!! Since they are influenced by Hong Kong coffee culture, I was not surprised to see they had an Ovalpresso Latte (Ovaltine, espresso, milk). I subbed in oat milk for it. When my drink was ready and I was about to leave, the barista realized he forgot to make it with oat milk and had used regular, so he insisted on making me a new drink. Thoughtful that he thought I may have a lactose intolerance, but I told him that it was just a preference. Still, he started making me a new drink and apologized again. Appreciated that he was all about the principle that I had been charged extra for the alternative, so it wouldn't be right to not remake it correctly. He even told me that I could take the first one as well if I wanted (I declined). The drink was very tasty -- right balance of espresso, milk, and slightly sweet from the flavouring. Similar to a Mocha, but not as chocolatey. It was the right temperature too, which made it easy to drink during my drive. Decent amount of seating and there was also good music playing at a good volume. I can see why this place is popular with a large age range of customers. Being uptown, plenty of free parking as well.

Seats are limited but you could sit near the "stage". They do have some special drinks like the apple crumble latte and koji latte. We got the iced ovaltine latte, hot koji latte and hot roasted latte. The koji latte (espresso, brown sugar, fermented rice and milk) came in the same maybe 8 oz glass as the ovaltine? For $7.5, I would have expected a bit more and not in a glass especially for a hot drink. The fermented rice made the drink taste like a hot chocolate though. The roasted oolong latte and ovaltine were just ok, nothing spectacular. If you're a cafe hopper, it's worth checking out, but not an everyday coffee place.
