One star is too good of a rating for this company. Very unprofessional and rude staff. They first came out to provide their service on 8/7/23 after I contacted AHS about a stoppage that I had in my bathroom sink. I was not at home so I had my dad go let him in. When I got home that afternoon I immediately went and checked the sink. The stoppage seemed to be gone so I was happy. Later on that night I went to get in the shower and the tub was filled with black water. I immediately called AHS and informed them about the situation. The representative tried calling Mr Plumber but was unsuccessful so she sent an email and told me that they would give me a call soon. The following day I called "Mr Plumber". The person that picked up the phone which is the only person that ever answer when you dial (845) 634-6000, got loud and said that AHS lied to me and they never contacted them. Again I called AHS and was able to get them to come out today 8/9/23. They were suppose to arrive between 0900-1200pm. At 2:03 I called them but got no answer so I left a message. I also called AHS who placed me on hold and stated that "they" were on their way. At approximately 3:50pm they showed up. I said "hello, were you the person that came out before?" The guy said "no that was someone else" and proceeded like he didn't know where to go so I walked him to the bathroom and showed him the tub filled with black water. He asked if I turned it on? I responded and said no I haven't used it since you guys came. This is how I met it. He scratched his head like he didn't know what to do and keep saying "what happened?". At that point he started saying something like I know maybe upstairs used it and caused this. I responded and said no I've never had this issue before. He then started yelling saying "I know". At that point I said "don't raise your voice at me". He bolted out my house slamming my door and left. He was there for maybe 3 minute. Something told me to go check the cameras to see if that was the same person that first came out and low and behold it was. So on top of being dishonest, he was extremely unprofessional, rude, and arrogant. Again I called to report this blatant act of disrespect to AHS. The representative placed me on hold and reached out to the company. When she came back on the line her exact words were "he was also rude to me and hung up". I'm still trying to figure out how I called to get one issue fixed and was left with an entirely new issue that never happened before? It was obvious that they knew that they messed up and still refused to even try to resolve the issue. They chose the right one because this review is going on every single platform that's associated with their company along with a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. STAY AWAY FROM MR PLUMBER. Read the reviews. Update: After the rude guy left, he wrote up a report stating that there was an issue because there were wipes in my drain...WHAT???? If that were the case why not say that the first time that you came out? No one on my house uses wipes. What he did find was 2 balloons and hair. He also stated that the problem is from the 2nd floor even though he never looked at the 2nd floor. There has never been any issues with the tub on either floors so for him to make this up is very low and disgraceful. read more

Contractor sent by AHS refused to open the tankless heater unit until customer insisted.  His reason being there is no leak happening currently. 3. The inside of the unit showed significant rusting which indicates water is getting into the unit somehow 4. I have read the reviews and I am sorry that others had a negative experience. However, honestly, I had a great experience with Mr. Plumber today. And yes, I am a real person LOL I filed a claim with American Home Shield because we had an issue with our kitchen sink. They referred my case to Mr. Plumber. I received a prompt call and he made an appointment to come to my home today, between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. The technician showed up at exactly 9:00 am. I showed him the issue. He went under the sink and diagnosed the problem. He left to go buy a new hose for the faucet. He returned, fixed the faucet above the basin and attached the new hose. Easy peasy! He was gracious and friendly. I can't say a negative thing about the experience. I wish Mr. Plumber the best and I do hope that he continues to provide the great level of service that he provided me, because honestly, he was very nice to me. Thanks! read more

AHS sent them to my home beginning of October for a water leak from my tub. The plumber asked to see the tub as they thought it would have been silicone that was not applied properly and there was space. I informed him that wasn't that case as i already checked that myself. He checked and confirmed. He cut open my ceiling first week of October. Stated that he need 2-3 people to do the job and a ladder that he did not come with. I was charged as the job said it was completed. I have not heard from them!! Today is 11/20/2021, since then I have called AHS 3-4 times to voice my frustrations with a hole being in my ceiling and leak still not being fixed. They keep saying they will send them back out. Wow worst experience with a plumber that I have ever had. The guy came through the home warranty company and tried to snake the stopped drain which did not work. He was rude the entire time and told us that since we used drain-o, nothing would be covered to repair the stopped drain. Liars!!!! I have a service contract with American Home Shield to service plumbing, appliances, water heater, etc. for 5 yrs and paying $70 monthly for servicing and replacement of item if cannot be fixed. I have been trying to get service since June 6th on 2 faucets, 2 toilets, and the tub. Mr Plumber came out to diagnose the issue and they concluded that a toilet and sink faucet needed to replaced and the rest fixed. AHS tried to track them down to get a copy of diagnosis for authorizations and Mr Plumber rep said nothing was wrong and I have a receipt the rep gave me with the issues and now it is a month later and STILL NOTHING! read more

ONE STAR IS TOO GENEROUS! YELP MAKES YOU RATE AT LEAST ONE STAR.This has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a service professional. Mr Plumber was assigned my claim from AHS my home warranty company for a leaky shower valve 8/9/2023. An unqualified tech named Jim shows up opens up my actual wall in shower breaks all the tile and said he would be back because I was missing one part (I had to buy my own parts) He leaves me with wall open and disappears for weeks. Long after I received the part. After 4 appointments canceled he shows up with a "Helper" and they putter around pretending they knew what to do for hours...surprise, they need another part. Another few weeks goes by, he finally responds and says ok 10/19/23 I will be there. It is now 12/15 and I am still waiting for them to complete the project. The last contact made was from Jim, saying he would be at my home with the part he ordered on 10/19. 5 months later and we have a shower that cannot be used. I have out of town guests arriving Tuesday and so I reached out one more time to see what the heck is going on. Worst part is they closed out my claim with AHS as complete and AHS opened a new claim with a new deductible! Bottom line is I am not even sure if they are a legitimate operation. One time prior I had them out with another tech for a clogged garbage disposal and he seemed to know what to do. This guy Jim shows up with a broken down and beat up van that has not commercial name or ID, he has no uniform so I am not sure what the heck kind of organization this is but if you can avoid it, RUN, do not trust them. read more

After soliciting a few quotes for the replacement of our hot water heater, I was impressed with the price and the speedy response of Mr Plumber. Even though it was a holiday, they arrived earlier than expected and installed the water heater quickly. I was impressed with the quality of their work, how they removed the old hot water heater and processed the paperwork for the plumbing permit. These guys are awesome! Rude, unprofessional, should be avoided. They came as part of RooterMan service network. Although they answer calls very quickly, dealing with them was impossible. Maybe arrangements of the service plan they have to go by are part of issue, but this shouldn't matter. He was careful not to cut corners, and I would ask for him every time! The job was for two items. One of the items turned out to be more involved than expected. Terrible, terrible. Mr. plumber guy 845-634-3000 did not show up the first time to take a look and fix our water heater. We only found out they were not coming because we called to see what's happening as the time frame had passed. No apologies were given to us. The second time, Jim arrived, hooked up the part we got and later on said the part was defective and to call them when we get another- working part for our water heater. We got it, called and scheduled an appt which, again, came and passed. When called, we were given no apology for Jim or whoever missing the appointment nor calling us to let us know that they were not going to come. Then we are given another appointment for today between 3pm-5pm. Called at 5pm and was told Jim was on his way. Called again now at 6pm and the business is closed. No one came again. They called me within 20 minutes to schedule, sent an email confirming the time, showed up on time, and fixed the toilet wax seal with a smile. PLUMBER is by far the best professional contractor I ever dealt with i had a situation occur at my house he came right away and fix my water and boiler I had no heat and no hot water 3 hours later I was saved. I have the utmost respect and I'm not one to write reviews but I love the passion that they have in making sure they do a great job and walk you through everything so you know what is going on. Do not waste your money!!!! June 8th we paid them $600 to fix our leaking shower and faucet handle in the bathroom. Their tech said he needed to order parts. After a month of unreturned calls to m the tech, I called the office to demand a manager. They instead had the tech call me to give excuses why it had been a month without hearing from him. He then promised to call me back with an answer by the end of the day. After a week of more unanswered calls to him, I called the office back to request a different tech. They sent a new guy who replaced the shower and sink handle hardware. As soon as he left, we noticed the shower had no water pressure And the sink handle can hardly be turned. The sink will now not shut off. I just spoke to the owner/manager Scott, and he basically told me they had already sent two people here and the problems we have aren't their fault. He refused to admit things weren't handled properly or that they were responsible for fixing their faulty work. We will be talking to our lawyers and filing in small claims court. Again I say...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They don't have a clue what they're doing and they take NO responsibility for their crap work or unprofessional employees. RUN! read more

Exceptional. We hadn't had a very positive experience with the Sears Home Warranty until we were put in touch with Mr. Plumber but they have been fantastic. They stopped by the day after we called to check out our problem and once they cleared it through their insurance (there was a delay again on Sears' side) they came by and did a great job in record time. They reset our wobbling toilet and fixed the multiple problems we had with our shower (the fixture, faucet and diverter were all acting up) in a matter of hours. Highly recommend. read more
