When I called insurance to find the next step, I was told they have to send it to another company, for some reason. It came to a head at the end of September, and they finally agreed to just pay a base fee for coverage based on the plan. Prior to this, NO MENTION of a cap payout prior! They provided a quote and phone number to do the job from one of the plumbers who came out. It was an LLC. When I searched the phone number, it was linked to a plumber and a driving school! Needless to say, did not go with them. Now, the reason we are here... along came Peace of Mind plumbing. Mike arrived as promised, quoted the job, and provided a date to install, no fuss, no muss. The installation date came, and it was magic. From the delivery of a new boiler, the breakdown, the tow-away of the old unit, and the installation, everything was flawless and clean. I met with Grossman to swap out a toilet & the water controls in a shower (non-emergency service call). Matt came to my house to provide an estimate. We scheduled a time for him to return a few days later (11/2020). They came and they did a good job. There were no economic surprises. They cleaned up their mess and everything works fine. We had a very slightly leaky tank toilet and a couple stuck cutoff valves, one of them being on the leaky toilet, meaning if I had to cut off the water to the toilet, I'd have to shut off the whole house. David came up, explained and showed me what he was going to do (explaining that there were two different ways of repairing the cutoff valves and, hopefully, he wouldn't have to do the more difficult one that involved soldering, etc. I mentioned that I had to go out but that I'd be back in about an hour and a half. 'Don't worry,' he said. 'I should be done by then.' He was and the work was done expertly. Hopefully I won't need a plumber in the near future, but guess who I'll call should I have an issue?
