A giant Thank You and Kudos to Mike Sasso (and son) for the excellent work they did fixing my water main leak. Before reaching Sasso Plumbing I took a day off from work and waited for 4 other plumbers to come and look at the job. None of them showed up, all of them had excuses. With one company, a corporate plumber, I had over 2 hours of phone calls trying to find out when they would be here. All they did was shuttle me around from dispatcher to supervisor to promised returned phone calls to never responding. They never showed up or responded. It was ridiculous. Mike showed up on time, kept his appointment, contacted the utility companies, took care of everything. He fixed my water main leak in less that 3 hours. He was able to use technology to identify the leak quickly, not did up my yard, and charged 1/3 less than any other estimate. I am happy, my neighbors are happy. Water was leaking out into the middle of the street, freezing, creating an ice slick. Mike even took his plow and dug up the ice making it safer for all. Last fall my kitchen sink started having drainage problems. We'd snake it and it would improve for a bit, but then the problem would return. On Thanksgiving it backed right up and we were left with a sink full of dirty water...no fun!! Snaking did nothing, and we didn't want to call anyone on a holiday, so we bought some draino and used that. I know, I know, terrible idea. But we were slightly desperate, and exhausted from hosting Thanksgiving. Anyway, that let our sink drain and we thought we'd solved the problem. Of course it came back a few days later...literally the day our house sitters arrived, because we were leaving the country for 6 months. I called Sasso at 7am in a panic, explained the situation, and they came out that morning, cleared my drain, replaced some parts, and I was able to leave my home without worrying about plumbing problems. They were very quick to respond to my problem of extremely low water pressure throughout my house. Mike and his crew responded quickly, assessed the situation, explained to me the problem and the solution for it. I'm no plumber but he explained it to me in a way that was very easy to understand. Very no nonsense and straight forward. We agreed upon the work and off they went. It was amazing to see how they fit the mini excavator into such a small space but they did without managing to damage any of my landscaping. They finished the work and it came out great. They cleaned up after themselves and honestly the place looked better than when they first found it. My hats off to Mike and his crew for a very professional and efficient job. My waste / water line got clogged and I couldn't use my toilets, dishwasher, shower, washing machine etc. This was a disaster! I called Sasso Plumbing and spoke to Mike who put me at ease immediately. He told me that he would come right away to access the problem, and said that once he did that he would get the town permits and would be at my house at 7:30 the next morning. It was a Saturday and he was there before 7:30 with two assistants and a digging machine. Mike really knew his trade and before noon he had dug out my sewer line pipe and had repaired it. On 11/6/2018 Michael Sasso and Fernando came to my home because my boiler was not heating my second floor. He assessed the situation and realized that I had air in the pipes and said I needed a new escape valve added. They resolved the issue in a fast, professional and clean manner. About 1hr after they left, my hot water heater stopped working. I immediately contact Michael and within 30 mins he returned to my house and again assessed the situation an stated that my pilot light was out. He turned it on and I was up and running. I previously used Sasso Plumbing to repair a leaking pipe in a wall a couple yrs ago, so when my heating system broke on a Saturday night, I called early Sunday morning and Mike was there within a half hour, diagnosed the problem and replaced 4 parts within the hr and my system was up and running better than ever in no time. I have an older system and have had issues with previous plumbers not being familiar with it, but Mike knows his way around a old boiler system and he explained what parts needed replacing (which all made sense given the history of past maintenance done on the system). Continued to need a sink in laundry room snaked since 2015. Sasso Plumbing came put in camera and saw as Michael and Fernando suspected a break in pipe. Michael arranged for water company and O&R to come and mark lawn. Within hours dug up and repaired pipe. We've used them before. Mike showed up within 24 hours of a call, on a Saturday, to replace an under sink hot water tank that was leaking and could have caused damage to the lower level if it got worse. They did a great job, making the piping much neater than the prior job. No extra charge for a building-wide water shut off and extra valve. They wore masks and left the place clean, as always.
