We had another company's plumber snake the bathtub, but unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem. Within an hour, he was able to clear a hairball from the pipe and get the bathtub draining properly again! We were initially worried that there might be a broken pipe, so we were very relieved that Eddie was able to resolve the issue so quickly. Huge thank you to Eddie and Oakland Rooter and Plumbing! The person who showed up wasn't a plumber, but he assured me he'd get me an appointment with one, but not until the next day! He said I definitely had an appointment for the next day, even though he "couldn't verify the time." I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Stupid me. Now it's the next day, and the office has "no record" of an appointment request! Of course, I had to listen to the endless ass-kissing of their AI "assistant" about what a terrible inconvenience this must be and how "she" would do everything in "her" power to assuage my frustration. Blow me. Not only does this outfit charge ridiculous fees for straightforward work but also the company has no respect for when a customer needs to speak to a human being. I hope their investment in AI doesn't cost more than the amount of business they will certainly lose, mine included. Any human being could do better! PS Oh, and I discovered THREE different office phone numbers, all of which connected me to their insipid, sycophantic bot.

On our most recent job, we noticed a leak in our basement the day before we left on vacation and Tony came over himself to check it out. Major damage was averted and the repair job was perfect. It's hard to find a good plumber who you really know you can trust, but Tony goes above and beyond. I'd give him and his crew 10 stars if I could!

He wasn't able to return with the needed parts in time to complete the job on that Friday, so he came out Saturday morning to finish the work. My only quibble is that he wasn't very transparent about how much of his quote was for parts vs the labor, so it was not easy to consider upgrading from a Delta valve to a different make. We discovered this issue as we were replacing the caulking to our bath tub. We told him numerous times that we had just removed the caulking. During his "inspection" he started running the water from our shower head but then he proceeded to point the shower head straight on the crevice where there is no longer caulking and say "see this is the issue!" Now there is a ton of water behind our wall in even more places then we had originally. He's a terrible communicator, constantly was interrupting, and couldn't articulate any of his reasons for anything. He was just guessing at what the issues were and hoping we would agree to start opening things up so we'd have to pay him. We were better off not having him show up at all.
