I live on a boat and I have had a hip replacement and cardiac issues. Very quick and fast service. I stopped by because my boss asked me to get a flat single piece of plastic cut, which would act as a air deflector. Because the plastic would rest on a metal grate and would not have to be hung or mounted, they suggested a clear think piece about 1/8 of an inch thick. Well, since this was a simple job, they cut the piece in less than 10 minutes and I was on my way. I also got a quote for a outdoor basketball backboard. I did accidentally drive into someone else's parking lot, because I saw the sign on the corner. Driving down the street a few more buildings and then you will see the Mr. Plastic sign. read more

NOTE: The address is a little confusing. They are part of a building that is at the corner of Alvarado and Aladdin. Thank goodness there are signs up telling you to turn and go up 1/2 a block. The location pin drop is right, its just weird that this store fronts Aladdin and not Alvarado. Great "little" plastic shop. They have a small front office, but I think the back area is pretty big. When you walk in, the store isn't setup like TAP, but thats ok. They have a nice gal behind the desk, and a Sales guy was able to help me right away. The pricing is very competitive. I wound up getting some large pieces, 12' long. And they deliver : ) There is a small charge to deliver (To South Fremont for me). But it was WELL worth it. I'll come here again for the service and the prices. Ordered some large pieces of acrylic over the phone to have picked up the next day. Janice was super nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. I'm subtracting a star because one of the pieces wasn't cut very well. You could see the impression of the blade as though they didn't follow through (rough edge). Luckily, it was on one of the smaller pieces that I could hide on the inside of my build. I'm sure they would have gladly replaced it but they aren't open on the weekends. WASTE OF TIME! I followed reviews telling me to go with these guys instead of several places in SF including the one that is just blocks from my house. What I got was excuses, unexecuted emails, promises and in the end... time lost. When a client has to bug a company repeatedly (after giving them a CC#) for a very simple job and told "yes yes you are next" and still nothing after more than a week then frustration sets in. HOWEVER, when work is delivered it is ONE sample. Are you kidding me? After all that time this is all you can come up with? No thank you I will try my luck somewhere else. We had another project for them a few weeks back. We were busy and a quality engineer (yes - really) wanted to help out, so I gave a set of 'poor' drawings to the engineer and said call Mr. Plastics. About a day later the engineer comes back, "They had a question about the ends of the box. There are no panels on either end." I would agree the drawing was poor, but that was what the drawing showed and what we needed. The engineer confirmed their questions and we got the box in about a week and it was perfect. We've used them several times prior, always good results and in this case, they took the time to ask about something a little different than what they usually see. read more

I paid $274 for two sheets of 3/8 acrylic. They were ordered to be custom sized. I was told over the phone when ordering that they do cuts free of charge, which I thought was really great especially since the price I paid was on the steep end for simple clear plastic sheet. I assumed that since the cutting was free they wouldn't mind if I requested to drill some holes for me into the sheet so I could run some screws through. Well I was wrong, they charge $25 for drilling request, or you have the option of purchasing drill bits for sale so you can drill it on your own. I ended up paying $8 for the drill bit. On the bright side the sales rep gave me some scrap pieces so I could practice. There's other plastic suppliers in the area that I found to be better suited for small home owners like myself read more

I was looking for a cover for an unused fire pit in our house that was large and had an empty area in the middle, so I needed either plywood or plastic, because it needed to be rigid but also look nice. I found Mr. Plastics online and gave them a call. The salesperson gave me some ideas and then invited me down to their facility to take a look at the different materials. I needed the material to allow for a model train set to run on, and the salesperson came up with a twinwall polycarbonate sheet that was rigid and white and looked great. No need to paint it as would have been the case with plywood. They cut it to my exact size and also put a U channel around the perimeter on the exposed sides to make it safe, installed the trim and made sure the corners were taped off for safety, and also gave me a very fair price. What service! These people were great. Problem solved with one phone call and one visit. The job was cut to size and finished for me within 20 minutes and I was on my way. Awesome!
