Last night me and my family came in for dinner because we kept hearing it was the spot for great food and live music. We showed up and the place was immersed with people. We were able to find a table back near the stage. As soon as we sat down, our server Casey came over right away. Got us started with some drinks. He was such a delight. He must have been busy but he took the time to help us navigate the menu to ensure we got something we loved. I had a margarita and the buffalo chicken salad. Wow. This salad was huge and delicious. Casey convinced my husband to get the prime rib dip sandwich. He even brought a side of horse radish cream and mustard to put on in cause that's how he said he eats it. My husband said it was the best sandwich he ever had. Shortly after, the band came on and they were awesome! Casey was prompt with refills and always came up with a smile. I'm a big fan of this Bar & Grill. The food is great with their tacos. A menu that keeps it simple for the quality of the food. They offer a lot with the welcome atmosphere and cool people here. I found it fits my standards by serving "Cold beer... and Hot chicks". I highly recommend to all. They have a no A-holes, Hookers, and Tweekers policy. We have been coming here for several years now. Started while waiting for our laundry next door. So far we are never unhappy. Everything cooked & prepped fresh. This location is in a local shopping center next to a laundry mat. The bar is dark an unwelcoming with smelly dirty bathrooms. We were excited per their website and reviews. So disappointed! I ordered the fish and chips which consists of two frozen fish patties deep fried dripping in oil (disgusting) the other dish was the pasta with chicken' drenched in butter and pieces of small chicken chunks that looked canned! The entire experience was just gross! We threw out our food after a few bites paid and left! Beer selection is very minimal with repetitive options in different brands. No bar cocktails to choose from except alcohol pours with juice or soda. Poor excuse for a full service pub' very disappointed.. water served in dirty cocktail rocks glass! What happened to our favorite go-to? We usually come for breakfast when we need to wash our blankets at the laundromat next door. This morning we waited over 20 minutes for just drinks. The drink order was wrong when it ultimately arrived and the drinks they served were sub par. Our two mimosas were basically a giant size glass of warm orange juice. My husband drank both and the only thing that happened was his blood sugar went sky high. My bloody mary was basically tomato juice with lemon and salt. The customers next to us were having similar problems with their order. We used to get amazing drinks and awesome service but today we got attitude and no apologies for the time it took to get the wrong drinks out. Not sure if we will be back. read more

I'm truly sorry. So want to love Mr Peabody's, but when just about everything goes wrong I feel compelled to write a review in the hopes that this restaurant will get it's act together. Ordered drinks. My Mai Tai didn't have any dark rum in it. Okay. I asked for a shot of dark rum. Willing to pay for it. They couldn't do that. My drink was a thick fruit punch so I ordered a shot of white rum. My cousin wanted another type of cocktail. They couldn't do it. Okay. I told the waitress that I would be ordering the prime rib. It was 2:30. When we finally ordered she had to double check to see if it was ok and I said, but I told you I wanted to order the prime rib 15 minutes ago. She argued with me that the cash register shuts off at 3pm. Ok. How about just order it in time? I ordered it medium rare and I asked for the toppings on the baked potato on the side. They were not able to do that. Huh? Why not? Ok. We asked for waters all around which took 20 minutes. Our food took an hour. One hour. And we had seen our waitress once. So we had been at the restaurant an hour and a half with no food. When I talked to the bartender, who I was told was the manager, who told me the cook was the manager, all she really did was tell me why everything was messed up. Know this, customers don't care why you can't do what you should do, they just want the problem fixed immediately with some perks and a BIG apology,. The food here is good, although my prime rib was well done. (Maybe that's why it took so long? Ha?) Maybe deliberate. read more

Great Happy Hour! Just know that "well drinks" at $3.75 in their dictionary is not a martini or a French 75. Be sure to ask the waitress before you place your order. Don't quiet know what they consider a well drink. We were shocked when the bill came. We did enjoy, by far the best, French Onion soup, not on the HH but worth every penny spent. Burgers on HH were great too! We will go back for sure but will quiz the waitress on drinks before we order! read more

Always wanted to try this place since it's close by where we live and I finally convinced my bf to go. He reluctantly agreed and to my dismay, we actually ended up leaving after sitting there for 10 mins with no service at all. I kind of felt sorry for he girl that was serving. She must have been covering 10 tables by herself. Just not a whole lot of staff there. I did see staff look at me in the eye, but apparently I was invisible. Food and service was great. You gotta get the wings. I don't know what they do to them or where they get them from, but you have to try them. So delicious. I used the YELP app to find this spot and reviews were good. Plus, I had a child in the car so I picked a spot where they had curb side pick up. I ordered and pulled up. Turns out, they don't have curbside. When I called, a young women answered and let me know about the curb side issues, BUT...she still accommodated me and had someone come out and bring me my order as well as charge me. It may not seem as much, but it meant a lot to a dad with a sleeping kid on a road trip. read more

First I love this place... Just don't order the lemonade, it was mostly ice and I finished it in three sips. The very nice waitress asked if I wanted another I nodded as the music was loud... When the bill came the first lemonade was $4.50 and the refill was $4.50. At those prices I would expect fresh squeezed, but i doubt it was. My fault i guess for not looking at the price. We were sitting at a table eating dinner so I didn't think the refill would not be free, my fault again I guess???... My awesome Shrimp and fries were almost cheaper than the two ice filled drinks. I live in Encinitas so this place is close for me to come to. It just seems every time I go, it just gets worse. The prime rib special price goes up, the portion gets smaller and the amount of fat on the prime rib gets larger. Its like ordering a slice of fat trimmed with prime rib beef. Not only that, they want to nickle and dime you for every extra thing you ask for. Besides the food, the servers most of the time are rude and act you are doing you a favor by waiting on you. I have not been coming here like i use to and the direction they are going, they will probably end up like the Lumberyard did in Encinitas. We chose Mr. Peabody's for our first dining out since March 2020. It was a sentimental choice as it is a favorite spot for breakfast and dinner with our friends. Yes, the menu has changed, and we are sorry to see some our favorites gone, but still great choices to be had. I saved my receipt so I could give a shout out to our server "Brooke". The wait staff was incredibly friendly. Breakfast was good. We ordered an omelette. Drink prices were fantastic! Bloody Mary was a little heavy with the Tabasco, but that could just be my taste. Have had the prime rib dip sandwich 3 times and it is awesome and huge. They have a new sirloin sandwich that looks awesome. the tacos are good. The salsa should be bottled. It is spicy and good. I haven't had all the menu items so I can't give it 5 stars, but the service is also pretty good. 4/2016 - i have now had the sirloin sandwich and its the first thing.i have ever had here that i won't have again. I am a regular and was happy to hear they are now open for takeout. Last Monday I ordered the Macadamia Crusted Cod and Thursday my sis and I ordered burgers- beef and turkey. Came here on a Sunday evening. Atmosphere was nice. There was live music. I ordered 10 piece BBQ chicken wings, the order took about 20 minutes to come out. And... I was given the Buffalo wings instead of BBQ that I ordered. Well, I finished them anyways since I was really hungry. Overall, good experience. Family friendly too, the table next to me brought their children (around 10-12 yrs old). I will definitely return to try the other menus. read more

Just ordered their new full rack of ribs with mac and cheese Take out can sometimes be hit and miss but today it was a 100% hit. The ribs were amazing. Large cuts for each half served making me rethink the need to order a full rack. Tons of tender meat falling off the bone. They gave some extra sauce which I liked - the juiciness factor of the meat was on point. Great job by the staff on the ribs The mac and cheese made this a 5 star as it exceeded my expectations. It is served in its own foil container that is used to bake it. Great idea as it was the best I had since i was a kid. I now have plenty of leftovers and I am super psyched I ordered this tonight. After some fellow stiffs from work and I shut down the company-sponsored event we had to attend at La Costa, we loaded up and went searching for a watering hole. Peabody's is what we found. We almost didn't get in because one of our group had ID issues but eventually, we made it. The bouncer was a tad douchey, but overall was pretty nice and was just doing his job. There was some live music going on when we got there but they shut that down pretty soon after we arrived, but that was ok because the band kinda sucked and they have an awesome, fancy-schmancy digital jukebox thingy, so it was all good. Service was a little slow, but I suspect it was because the staff were bushed after a long day ...eventually, we got what we wanted. They were certainly friendly enough. The thing that surprised me the most was the quality of the food. We had tacos, nachos and wings. I am a pretty big "wing snob"....a lot of places offer wings, but most of them suck. The wings at Peabody's are legit...very legit. The nachos were well above average. They had a pretty broad menu...this isn't just a bar with "bar food." This seems like a good place to hang out. Would return just to try some of the different food offered on the menu. read more

They have a Linguine Alfredo & Side Salad special for $5.99..and you can add on extra meat etc..but that Special huge! I had it for dinner, breakfast and lunch, you should probably try it out.
