He suggested reusing the ledge stones from one area and used it as a border. He did not just put the ledge stone as a border, he made an inground foundation to mortar the stones in place and keep the grass from crawling under the border and into the beds. I was thinking I needed a landscape architect to layout the beds. Mike looked at the house features and came up with a great selection and layout of plants. I used to be in the landscape business so I am particular. I highly recommend MLS Landscape & Design !

RedStar Home Inspections or RED TAPE WIZARDS?!…read more RedStar is the kind of company that talks a big game but leaves you holding the bag when it actually matters. Their website is full of bold claims--they'll tell you they check a wide range of your future home. The stuff you hire a professional home inspector for. The stuff you pay good money for..... But here's what happens in reality: They don't catch obvious, documented hazards--things that could put you at risk. They don't note them in the report. They don't warn you. They don't even acknowledge them. And when you go back to ask, "Hey, how did you miss this?"--their answer is stunning: "Well, technically, WE SAID SEEK AN ELECTRICIAN" Wait, what? That's like going to a doctor and being told, "Hey, you should probably see a real doctor for this." If I needed an electrician to catch the basics, why the hell did I hire RedStar? That's literally your job. And it doesn't stop there. When I tried to raise concerns--politely, respectfully--I was met with a brick wall. From the top down, RedStar had no time, no interest, and no desire to hear me out. The owner? Dismissive. The representatives? Defensive. The attitude was crystal clear: "Not our fault. Not our problem. BOTTOM LINE: RedStar is not here to protect you. They're here to protect themselves. If you hire them, just know--you'll get a glossy report that looks good on paper, but when the cracks start to show, they'll tell you to go find an actual expert. Do yourself a favor--find a company that takes their job seriously. RedStar isn't it.

Stucco can be complicated, and I really appreciated how he broke everything down in a way that made sense -- no scare tactics, no confusion, just facts and education. They inspected all stucco areas visually and explained how sealants, flashing, and transitions work to protect the home from moisture. He pointed out where sealant was missing or aging and explained why fixing those spots early matters. His report was clean and straightforward, with photos and notes that were easy to understand and reference when communicating with the builder. What stood out is that they are clearly a specialist. They know stucco inside and out, including what's expected during new construction. This inspection gave us peace of mind and clear direction on what should be corrected -- without pushing unnecessary repairs. If your home has stucco, do yourself a favor and have it inspected by Stucco Pro.
