Chris inspected a home I made on offer on. He was very thorough with his process and with all of the photos he included. Chris was professional, friendly and thoughtful - not only to me but with the home owner's property as well. His price for this home inspection was very reasonable, too. I highly recommend Chris! read more

We are nearing completion of a new home and secured the services if Houston Inspections to keep our builder honest. I contact them on a Monday and the inspection was conducted the following Saturday. The report was received the following day and I was extremely impressed with the thoroughness and conciseness if the report! There were several critical items that we are now addressing with our builder and have actually pushed back closing until they addressed. I highly recommend this group if purchasing a home, as it is a small price to pay to ensure your investment is a good one read more

Our experience with Dennis at Houston Inspections was fantastic. He was so thorough and professional, but also so personable and helpful. He explained everything in a way we could understand, answered all of our questions, and went out of the way to help us understand the things that were important to address. He helped to make us feel good about the home we were purchasing. 10/10 would recommend him and would use him again! read more

Dennis was great! Super thorough and thoughtful! He didn't mind us being there during the inspection so we could take measurements and took his time to explain any of our concerns! Would highly recommend them! read more

We are having a new home built and wanted to hire an inspector of our own to ensure the builder completed everything without cutting corners. Our inspector, Chris, was very thorough and found things that needed to be addressed that we may not have noticed as first time homebuyers. We are so glad we hired Houston Inspections for our pre-closing inspection and will be contacting them again once we approach our 1st year check in with the builder. Cannot recommend highly enough! read more

Ronnie from Houston Inspections did the inspection of a property we are thinking of buying. He was great at explaining all the tests that he was doing, the results of the tests and did a thorough inspection of the full property. Would highly recommend. Maria & Sergio read more

I've used Houston Inspections several times, both in the current house before I bought it as well as for the house I'm in the process of buying. Both my wife and I were pleased with their services and corresponding reports. In the case of our current house, they helped us flag down tons of issues with our house that we were able to get the builders to repair while we still under warranty since it was a new build. I like how detailed they are, even in checking for moisture in areas it shouldn't be and proper insulation levels. Good, clean, detailed and easy to read reports. They even offer a "return client" discount. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience with this company from the very start. They were unwilling to help me with a reinspection. Poor responsiveness and costumer service. Luckily, I was able to find another last minute inspector to do the job. read more

Houston Inspections just recently completed a thorough home inspection required for the purchase of my new home in Houston. They were prompt, detailed and very thorough in inspecting the home and properly documenting all findings. They also took the time to walk my husband in person through all the findings and observations in detail. We received a comprehensive inspection report within 24hrs of completion of the inspection and it was well organized with building code violations, mere observations and deficient items all well assessed and documented. All in all - it was a smooth process from seeking out their services to making the inspection appointment and payment to the actual inspection activities to the final documentation. All steps of the process were well managed and documented in an easy manner (all electronically). I would definitely recommend to others. R. Umar read more

Great service from the start! They were able to get out to the property quickly and have a report ready to go in less than 24 hours. The inspector, Kyle was very professional and thorough in his report. He made sure to give me a call and review the report with me in case I had any questions. Extremely satisfied with Houston Inspections. They proved to be trustworthy, efficient and professional. I will definitely use them again in the future. Thank you! read more

My sister and I chose this company because of the plethora of five-star positive reviews on Yelp. While they were a few hundred more than their competitors, we were willing to pay it, because we wanted quality. Kyle came out and did a thorough job. However, he left the lights on, water on floor, A/C unit off, didn't respect that we had asked and offered him to use foot covers when walking on the carpet inside the home, and broke our bathroom sink faucet. After speaking to Jessica on the phone, and sharing with her our experience, no apology was given, she said that she didn't know what the expectation was since she wasn't an inspector. However, the saving grace was the owner. He was kind, apologetic, respectful and professional. He made things right, and the inspection report was very meticulous. read more

Great inspection job done by Ronnie. My realtor specifically requested him, as he is one of the more senior guys who pays great attention to detail. I booked the inspection about 3 days in advance and had no issues getting someone out here quickly. After the inspection, I received a detailed report on the house. I spoke with the inspector afterwards and he sat down and went detail by detail with me with any questions or concerns I had with the property. Not only that, Ronnie gave me his idea based off his past experiences of the cost/ways to fix some of the damaged or troubled areas. Price wise, I paid about $450 for the inspection (includes termite check) on a house built in the 80's. Inspection on older houses generally cost more. I called around other places in Houston and a smaller company offered an inspection for around $300, while a similar sized company charged $650. After hearing good things about this company from my realtor and seeing the fair price, I would definitely recommend this place for your home inspection! read more

As a first time home buyer all of the little things involved in buying a home can be very overwhelming, but Ronnie made the home inspection process a breeze. He started early and was extremely through, which I appreciate since it's such a large investment. I was impressed with the tools he had and thought the drone was such an innovative way to give a detailed picture of the state of the home. I would absolutely recommend Houston Inspections and Ronnie. Thanks!! read more

The company was recommended by our realtor for a house purchase. They well exceeded our expectations: 1. Communication prior was great 2. Very professional during the inspection and took the time out to give helpful tips for us for our new house. 3. His report was on time and very easy to read Would highly recommend. read more

Great to work with-professional and report delivered same day. Thanks!

Shawn made for a seamless appointment and was more than accommodating during our home buying process. We showed up to the house about 40 minutes before Dennis and Nick were done and they gave us a quick update upon our arrival before letting us roam around again until they finished. Once they did finish, they told us their major concerns and recommended repairs. The next morning, we received the 70 page report. It was incredibly detailed and meticulous. Thanks to the great work by Dennis and Nick, we decided to pass on the house, as their findings were eye opening as to how dilapidated the house truly was. A $770 inspection saved us over $30,000 in future repairs. Huge thank you to Shawn, Dennis and Nick! read more

Our realtor recommended Houston Inspections for our new condo purchase. Our inspector was very professional and took the time to talk to us by phone since we were not in town. Very detailed inspection! The process was SO easy and resulted in such a great report. I highly recommend this inspection company!

Second time using Houston Inspections during the closing period on a house and would recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy inspection during he purchase of a home! Both Chris and Ronnie were extremely kind, considerate, and respectful during the inspection. They were both extremely diligent and thorough and each spent time with me towards the end of the inspection to walk me through the preliminary report which allowed me to see all notations firsthand. Can't stress enough how pleased I was with the level of service and expert knowledge that comes when working with Houston Inspections! read more

Houston Inspection is great! I'm in the early stage of a purchasing my 1st home in the Humble. I was unable to arrive for the inspection but my sister video conference me with Dennis and Nick. I would definitely recommend Houston Inspections to anyone! read more

Dennis Inman was AMAZING and so knowledgeable, we had already been living in this house and his inspection report was so thorough he found so many things we didn't even know were wrong with the house, could not recommend his and this company enough. Also the most fair price (I had called around), this is your sign to book any inspection through them. read more

This review is for the receptionist Aaron who answers the phone. I have to say the tone and attitude he exhibited over the phone is really not friendly, a little snobbish and let you feel you are nothing but a potential client begging him. I placed two calls, first call could not get an idea of their earliest available date as he refused to give it to me; 2nd call, I asked him to email me what's covered in quoted price, he refused too, just asked me to book first, then email. Your price is the highest, yet it sounds like you don't really care. Perhaps the service is really great according to the 60+ reviews, however, the front desk phone answering person should be replaced. I would not place an order with this type of attitude: makes client feel we owe them something and they do not appreciate our business. read more

Nick did the inspection for us. The home is newly built so no serious problems are found. Pros: 1. Price is low in comparison with other competitors. And they include free thermo scan and pest inspection. 2. Fast response from the customer service. Fast report generation. 3. Nick is a nice person. He inspected the house in a standard manner. I did not give a five star review because: 1. Although I asked Nick to add the 'withered yard grass problem' and 'notch on the concrete problem' to the report, he did not do it. So the builder forgot to repair it because they did the repair based on the report. Now we are in a dilemma for closing the sale. 2. They did not go on my roof, because our house is more than one floor. Although it does not matter for a new house like ours, but it would be necessary for a old house to get roof inspection. read more

Great efficient service. The night before my scheduled inspection I found out that the AC unit wasn't working and would have to be fixed, meaning that the inspector would not be able to fully conduct the inspection. Despite having a 48 hour cancellation policy, they were completely understanding and rescheduled the inspection at no extra charge. The appointment was already scheduled late in the week and at first it didn't look like there were any openings left that week. When I explained that my option period was up at the end of the week and I had to have the inspection ASAP, they made sure to find a way to make it work, scheduling someone who was supposed to be off that day. This was much appreciated! The inspector I worked with was Chris and he was very patient in explaining his findings and answering any questions. Knowing that the option period was ending, he even took the time to get on a call with myself and my realtor and give us an overview of what he found so that we could get started on resolving any issues ASAP. He also sent us the full detailed report within 4 hours of the inspection ending. In addition to the efficient and excellent service, their prices are very competitive ($350 for a condo inspection if you mention Yelp). I would highly recommend! read more

We just had a home inspection done by Shawn yesterday. We had a contract fall through a few months ago but were very happy with the work Shawn did for us at that time and had no doubt in our mind we wanted to use Houston Inspections again. We were able to get an appointment soon after our option period started which was a huge relief to us. During the inspection, he did an awesome job answering all our questions and gave us some great advice on various home maintenance items that will come in handy in the future (fingers crossed). As a first time home buyer, Shawn was a wealth of information and is a great teacher - he is extremely patient and easy going and is able to efficiently complete the inspection while giving feedback. He put us in touch with some tradesmen who would be good to get second opinions from - he doesn't get any perks from referring to them but knows who the good seasoned professionals are and will point you in the direction of some reliable guys if you ask. The inspection report is extremely thorough and has great images and explanations. Shawn also got on our roof (something we knew would need work) and gave us some good feedback on its condition. I feel very confident in the advice we have gotten from Shawn and I am sure that everyone at Houston Inspections does just as good of a job as him. I have used the things I learned on my previous home inspection to apply to my home search and believe it has really helped me look out for the warning signs of a house that needs significant work. For any of my future home inspections (hopefully not very near in the future) I will use Houston Inspections! Thank you so much, Shawn & co. for all your help! read more

We hired Houston Inspections to do a general, termite, and sprinkler inspection for a home that was built in the 1930's with additions in the 1980's. Ronnie Hagelberger & Dennis Inman came out to do the home inspection and they were absolutely wonderful! They were both so nice and explained everything (both positive and negative) in the house. The PROS: They do a very thorough job. They use thermal imaging cameras to detect moisture in the walls, and they inspected the crawl space under the house. We received the inspection reports first thing the next day and it was complete with pictures showing any issues they found. I truly enjoyed working with them and they did a fantastic job with the inspection and the report write-up. read more

Houston Inspections did a great job. They were on-time, did a thorough check of our new home, explained it all clearly, and answered all of the questions we had. Chris S was our inspector and we valued his expertise and quick turn-around time for sending us the report. read more

Ronnie was the inspector that came out to look at a home built in 1972. I had my dad come out as another set of eyes and ears and Ronnie was very professional and polite the whole 3-3.5 hours we were there. He was happy to answer any questions we had along the way and explained what he was doing as he went through his routine. We were able find some significant issues and will see how the whole sale process goes in the end. Report was very thorough and as other reviewers said, easy to read. Turn around time for the report was under 24 hours. Awesome! Overall it was a pleasant experience working with Ronnie. He has a firefighting background so that was a plus. Very nice guy and always open to questions even after the inspection. read more

Hiring Houston Inspection was absolutely with every penny. Right from the start it was obvious that Dennis, my inspector, was experienced and thorough. His inspection of the house revealed several issues that I had missed when I first looked at the house. His report kept me from making a very expensive mistake. Their customer service is excellent and they are willing to work around your schedule. They are more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for. They use thermal imaging to help spot potential problems in a home so that you know what you are getting into. I will definitely use them again! read more

I highly recommend Houston Inspections for your home inspection needs. Since my home purchase was going through a relocation company- our inspection period was 10 days so I needed someone quick. I had found Houston Inspections via yelp on a Thursday, called/made an appt, and Shawn came out the following Monday. Even in the rain he came to the house 15 minute early and was there till 4pm (2.5 hour inspection). He's very thorough and extremely helpful in explaining his process. After his walk through he sent me the report (39 pages w/ pictures) the next morning. After my realtor and I reviewed it, we took his recommendation on seeing an HVAC specialist (AC unit was 18 years old so it was due for some further inspection). We ended up talking the seller down a few $k all from Shawn and the HVAC specialist's recommendation. Thanks! Their price is reasonable and you do get quality service with speedy responses. Give them a call if you're looking for a good home inspector- they may save you some money in your home purchase! read more

These guys are the best. I just had a home inspection with them for a house we are about to buy and they did a fantastic job. They spent over 3 hours looking over everything in the house and let me follow around to ask questions and see how everything in the house worked. They go above and beyond their scope of work. Compared to a recent experience I had with an inspector in my home that I'm selling, these guys are well worth the money! We just received the inspection report and it's very detailed and includes pictures, descriptions, and even some images using their thermal camera to inspect the walls and ceilings in the house to double check for any issues. read more

Best general home inspection company in Houston, hands down. Punctual, responsive but most of all, thorough without being alarmist.
