This is a new restaurant located at Partridge Creek mall by the back side of the mall. We stopped here after one of the free summer concerts and the place was packed! We got seated immediately and the waitress brought our drinks very quickly. You do get free chips and salsa. They have a mild sauce made at the restaurant but for the hot sauce they give you a selection of bottles that are sold at stores. The menu had good choices and I ended up choosing a burrito bowl with grilled chicken. It was called the spicy inferno and it had plenty of jalapeños but I wouldn't say it was over the top spicy. It was very good and very cheesy. I ended up bringing half home. My friend got the wet burrito and it was huge. He said it was loaded with rice and beans and he got the beef version. He ended up bringing half of it home. We would definitely come here again

TLDR: While the restaurant serves decent food, it would be difficult to call it authentic in any way. The restaurant was clean and the service was incredibly attentive. For my lunch, I ordered the Birria Street Tacos. The meal started with salsa and chips on the house. The chips were freshly fried and seasoned with a good amount of pepper. The salsa was fine, but the chips made the combination very addicting. The main meal unfortunately was disappointing. The consomé tasted a lot like meat, but it didn't have the deep flavor that birria usually produces. It tasted closer to a beef broth than anything else and lacked flavors from dried chilies and other spices. This was already telling from how lightly colored the consomé was, which usually is a dark red. The green salsa that came with the tacos was fine as well. All in all, despite the lack of authenticity, the food served as a fine meal.

Service was Good! Happy Hour house Margarita was awesome. Elote and Nachos were ok. Double decker tacos were really really good. Definitely recommend. Tortilla chips and salsa were better than most. Probably my new favorite Mexican restaurant.

Inferno Bowl

Checked out this location at Partridge Creek. Very festive vacation atmosphere. The complimentary hot chips and homemade salsa were delicious. I had the spicy inferno bowl which was huge and fantastic. The grilled chicken was juicy and tender and the fresh jalapeños took it over the top. The service was exceptional with a special shout out to Carmen!

Now here we are celebrating another family members Birthday and we were a party of seven tonight (Six of us were from the previous celebration)... stay with me, there's a point I'm going to make. So, we all had very different orders and drinks two months ago and everything was fabulous as it always is and it just so happens that we got the same Waitress tonight that we had before and not only did she remember us, but she also remembered what each one of us ordered. I mean food AND Drinks... down to the Sugar Rim on the Margaritas and the side shots on some other drinks being served! She even remembered that I ordered Lime and Cilantro on the side of my meal and had a preference of Corn Tortillas! COME ON MAN!!! PIA IS AMAZING!!! Juan Miguel's... I don't know what you guys are paying this young woman, but whatever it is... it is not enough! She is phenomenal! Don't get me wrong, we come there for the fantastic food but Pia has made the experience something much more special than we anticipated. She's truly the type of employee that you ALWAYS take care of. She's good for business. We'll see you guys next month. We told her so and we know one thing for certain... SHE WON'T FORGET!

The shock I felt when my quesadilla was brought out looking like this... Tortilla soup was good but it had enough cheese to kill someone who's lactose intolerant lol. I suppose this is the rare instance where I'm glad I did not read the reviews before I ate here…read more We've been to the original in Detroit many times, but had not yet tried this place. Tonight was the right time to change that. They make very good use of the small footprint this place has. There is ample seating, if I counted right there's something like 12 tables and five or six high top options. Their primary business is carry out of course, but we found it nice to relax at a table and enjoy the ambience a little. Neither of us had a drink but we made a note of the full bar including a variety of margaritas. I'm sure they are well prepared. The somewhat limited menu is actually kind of a good thing. It means that most of their items can be brought out quickly. My wife and I both had tacos. She went with steak, and I went with pastor. Both were perfect and very well prepared. I was especially pleased at how favorable mine were with nice fresh onion and cilantro. The refried beans were also terrific, not too chalky or cakey but not too greasy either. I didn't care for my rice, but my wife enjoyed it. We also each had a flan for dessert. It was presented in a plastic container, but again this place is intended primarily for carryout. The flan was delicious and tasted freshly made. The staff were all in their young 20s but were all very friendly and accommodating. I'm looking forward to coming back here soon.

They should call the dish Onion and Pepper fajitas. Check out the picture... It was 3/4 onions and peppers and only 1/4 steak. +++ but for the amount of meat there was, it was very tasty! The first margarita was great. The second one tasted like super cheap tequila... Where's the Shrimp? They forgot the shrimp and napkins. We totally have tipping burn out. Prices have gone up and they are asking for 25% and 30% tips??? No way. 15% - 20% is more than fair. Expectations for double with the already increased bill for the food is not acceptable. We dined outside. They do have that going on... it was a wonderful evening and wonderful day and my dining partner totally made fun of the "Onion and Pepper Fajitas" We might go back only for the location, but not ordering the Onion and Pepper Fajitas ever again. And we'll stick to beer.

Don Patron. I don't…read morethink people can comprehend just how good this place is - not until they've experience a meal from there. For almost 2 years now, my fiancé and I have frequented Don Patron at least once a month. This is the best Mexican food money can buy in the state and quite possibly this side of the country. Pictured below are just a couple of the meals I've had over the last few years. The burritos are all massive, so exciting. The portions are huge here. Most meals come with a side of rice and beans. This isn't your average rice though. This is the best rice I've ever eaten. They must cook it in chicken or beef broth - it's absolutely packed with flavor. I always ask for a side of Jalepeno, too. They grill the jalepeno and put Tajin (I think) on them. SO good! The fiancé (picky gal she is) has only ever ordered the Quesabirria tacos. When my lady likes something, SHE LIKES SOMETHING. She has tried Quesabirria at other places, and each time she is on the verge of tears because she claims "nothing even compares to Don Patron's Quesabirria". That is a direct quote. This is a restaurant I would gladly drive over an hour to get too, or even just wait in line in a cramped vestibule for 2 hours. It's that good. The staff are the cherry on top. Everyone is so incredibly nice. Most of them recognize my fiancé and I as we go so often! Handshakes and catching up on life is always part of our experience. This is my favorite restaurant in Michigan. It's quaint, but WOW does it have flavor. The best part, I rarely run into any lactose issues (as you all know, I'm severely intolerant of lactose). I love this restaurant. I pray for this restaurant. May their tables always be full of happy, paying customers!! To the staff at Don Patron, God Bless You. You have brought so much joy and satisfaction to us here in the greater Detroit Metropolitan area!

All working "alone". You have to ask for everything. Water. Straws. Napkins. Chips. Refills. With 3-4 waitresses walking around, why not work as a team?! Chips/Salsa/Cheese: Not house made/fresh. Just under a warmer. Food was okay, they ran out of Carnitas (Pork). I'd prefer to go to other Mexican establishments in the area. Birria tacos barely had any meat. When you watch workers walk over the same crumbled up napkin on the ground near the "bar"over and over, clearly no one cares or pays attention! Also, I found it odd that they didn't have a designated area for their personal waters. They just had it all over the bar counter. Very disappointing!
