Piece of hair from my burger
    John Thomas N.

Absolutely disgusting burger. The bun was awful, the patty tasted frozen, the mac n cheese on my burger had hair in it. The fries were half hot/half luke warm... Not sure how they messed up that one. It was my mistake for not checking the previous reviews. It was also my mistake for ordering after seeing him drink a beer, high five his friends, and eat food without washing his hands. Definitely won't be back.

Shocked at the low reviews given to this food truck. I had the al pastor burrito and it was delicious. Will definitely visit again.

Found out about Dos Carnales on the SAFoodies page on Facebook. Thank you, SAFoodies…read more Simple Ambiance in this case it's all about the food and the service. The service: Incredibly attentive from the moment we walked in, quick to seat... get our drink order and then consistent follow up from almost the entire staff.... everything ok, you need anything... refreshingly rare. But the food... so many options as you can see by the photos of the menu. My first go to for a Mexican restaurant is always the cheese enchiladas. Are they good? Gooey cheese is my favorite over cheddar etc.... (I know i know) so I ordered the Nacogdoches plate to also sample their beef fajitas (beef or chicken were options) Fajitas were plentiful and delicious. My food friend who went with, ordered the Burrito stuffed with Asada, rice, beans... and topped with boiling hot cheese and red sauce.... (hopefully the video comes through) Looking good. No complaints from him either. Thursday it's breakfast time.

I liked their hottest salsa the orange one the most. The first basket of chips and salsa they gave you is free anything after is a charge. I don't exactly know how I am going to lay this out for you all, so I am just going to wing it…read morehere. This restaurant/food truck literally is the best Mexican food on the planet. There is no debating that. I have only been to the physical truck once, but have ordered countless times through doordash and have yet to be disappointed. I have received the food cold once only, but that was the fault of the dasher, not the food truck, and it was still better than any other Mexican food establishment I've have been to up to this date.........Anywhere. I fully understand that taste is subjective, but I believe I can say with extreme confidence that any review on this establishment under 4 stars is, more likely than not, a person from a different restaurant trying to slam this place due to jealousy, knowing they could never reach this level of skill/flavor. And you 1 and 2 star reviewers, I'm just flat out calling you all liars, and your souls will burn for committing such blasphemy. I'm not religious at all, but I will say that these culinary geniuses have been touched by a divine hand, and if I ever see a story that this place's food can cure cancer, I will believe it. There, hope that's clear enough.

My wife and I use to frequent this place YEARS ago, the service was good and the food was good,…read moreyears later we decided to go back & mannn the food quality & service has went down terribly! Pulled up on a Friday late night with my family ordered the standard 5 tacos. They are a bit pricey as well. I ordered the carne Asada and my mother in law ordered the chicken. While it did seem like it tasted good it was super greasy. (TMI coming up) When I woke up the next morning my I noticed my bowels were literally moving the next day, (I counted about 9 times). I felt bloated and everything. My wife even told me that as we were pulling off she witnessed the cook I believe his name is Julio eating some of the product while he was preparing peoples food (the side door of the food truck was open so you could see right in). Funny enough we decided to go back Saturday evening to give them another try, thinking it would be better, BOY was we wrong. I ordered the same order plus charro Beans, elote (corn in a cup) and 3 cans of sprite. This time we took literally one bite and the meat was DRYER than the Saharan desert both the carne asada and the chicken. (Tasted like some reheated old meat or meat that had been made days prior). We were already at the hotel at this point and was infuriated!!! We ended up calling and I believe I spoke to Julio (or whoever the cook is) over the phone. After lying saying that he cooked the meat fresh that day he stuttered I told him aint no way the meat was fresh. He then said and I quote " I cooked the meat "a couple days ago" then said "sorry I burnt it or overcooked it". (Knowing that why would you serve that to me?) I then stated "yes it tasted old period". I requested a refund in which he agreed to. Driving all the way back I brought the food back as well. Julio (or whoever the cooks name is) tried to plead his case to me saying that the meat is fresh and took a fork and tasted the food himself and then tried to offer me the food. I told him "no I don't want to taste it, just refund me please" in which he did. Dishonesty, Not handling food with care, lying. Is something that crosses the line and I won't be back. *Also if the owner is reading this I have the phone conversation recorded and the video evidence to show proof this whole interaction, so do not just glaze over this review* I don't like writing bad reviews, but this one is for sure warranted. Seems like they will dress up the taco and selling you some "old meat" people just be careful and mindful when coming to this taco truck.

A clever name since "Naco" is a slang Mexican term and the food truck is on NACOgdoches st. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We ordered tacos à la carte. I was kind of bummed that they didn't include one of the tacos I ordered but it's all good. The tacos were actually big and one more taco would've been too much. I ordered the chorizo and egg taco on corn tortilla and the chilaquiles taco (huge portion fyi). My husband ordered the chorizo and egg, the brisket, and the chicharron tacos. All of the tacos were very flavorful and a good size for the price! They have a cute little salsa fridge and beware the salsas are SPICY!! There is community seating and service was good! I don't believe I've ever ordered anything other than the breakfast tacos at this location. Their bean and double cheese is incredible....cheese baked on the tortilla, followed by the most delicious black beans I've ever had, and topped with more cheese. It's soft, it's crispy, it's full of flavor. The potato and egg are solid, but nothing extraordinary. Don't even get me started on the salsas. I always go for the green one and I'm certain it's the spiciest one. I love the flavor, but it'll knock your socks off. The orange one is more mild. I think the dark one is maybe the most mild. All the are delicious and flavorful. The hardest decision is how much of your mouth you're willing to burn .

I had high hopes b/c the high rating and ordered the original gyro based on the recommendation. When I got my O.G., I wasn't OMG'd at all. Although I am not an expert on moroccan food, my taste buds are experts on food in general. The second time, my friend ordered the Chicka Chicka Bang Bang and offered me some to try. I liked the name Chicka Chicka Bang Bang and thought I was going to do a bang bang dance after putting the Chicka Chicka in my mouth. But again I thought it was A-OK. Apparently my friend was pretty unhappy about what she was eating (that's probably why she offered it to me, J/K). She said one of her close friends is moroccan and she has tasted much better moroccan food than this. All right then, guess it wasn't just me. So, the ultimate question: will I return? Probably not given that another truck at the Alamo Street Eat Bar is my favorite.

In search of something new, I found Wheelie Gourmet's Moroccan-inspired fare. After going over the menu, I asked for the Kefta which was labeled as a "Moroccan Burger." The Chef asked if I wanted to add the special, Candied Bacon. "Of course, I want Candied Bacon!" A few minutes later, this stunner was put in front of me. I took a minute to appreciate it, the warm pita bread, the seasoned meat with a hint of sauce, fresh spinach leaves and oh, yes, emmin-effin candied bacon. The next few seconds were a blur of tastiness, followed by awesomeness and rounded out with fullness. Will be back. Soon.

As a mom of 2 on the go I loved the food truck location, because I was able to park in front of the business while one of my girls napped in the car. The owner was very friendly. He had a few orders ahead of mine, I know some people might leave if they're impatient but that only peaked my interest more. I was given an electric pad that alerts you when your order is ready so you can wait in your car! I ordered the Chicken pad Thai (medium spiced), and I got my hubby the Chicken pad woon sen (mild). I tried both. The food was delicious! If it is your first time trying it, be sure to start off with the mild spice and work your way up. You know how some places you order spicy but it's not actually spicy; yeah no, his is spicy LOL so for my personal preference I think a mild is best. People don't be discouraged by how the portions look in the picture! Swear it's not those small "meal prep" containers, it's a GOOD SIZE portion. 10/10 will return for sure and I love that there's other food trucks around, so if you and your partner want something different you'll have options too. I will say that the thing that personally frustrated me a little, was the wait time to get my food; but then again like I said there was a LINE ahead of me so yes his food is popular. I think he also has the option to order online, so maybe I'll try that next time. I placed my order around 5:40pm and got my food till 6:20pm. BUT keep in mind everything was freshly made, the taste was Amazing, good portion and it is just HIM working the truck. So maybe order ahead or maybe you'll get lucky and there won't be a long line ahead of you.
