My husband and I had driven by this little food truck corner then, one of my friends suggested the Naco food truck. A clever name since "Naco" is a slang Mexican term and the food truck is on NACOgdoches st. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We ordered tacos à la carte. I was kind of bummed that they didn't include one of the tacos I ordered but it's all good. The tacos were actually big and one more taco would've been too much. I ordered the chorizo and egg taco on corn tortilla and the chilaquiles taco (huge portion fyi). My husband ordered the chorizo and egg, the brisket, and the chicharron tacos. All of the tacos were very flavorful and a good size for the price! They have a cute little salsa fridge and beware the salsas are SPICY!! There is community seating and service was good! The tacos and service are top notch! As delicious as they are, they are also pretty pricey. There's plenty of outdoor seating, but it can get really busy. I don't believe I've ever ordered anything other than the breakfast tacos at this location. Their bean and double cheese is incredible....cheese baked on the tortilla, followed by the most delicious black beans I've ever had, and topped with more cheese. It's soft, it's crispy, it's full of flavor. The potato and egg are solid, but nothing extraordinary. Don't even get me started on the salsas. I always go for the green one and I'm certain it's the spiciest one. I love the flavor, but it'll knock your socks off. The orange one is more mild. I think the dark one is maybe the most mild. Tacos were really good although eating my chicharon taco first and it fell apart and had to eat with a fork which sucked. The bean and cheese taco was out of this world. Actually the best one I've ever had! The location looks to be an old gas station that they've transformed into a hip stop for coffee, and food. A one stop shop for your caffeine and breakfast fix. The counter hosts a small mini fridge with multiple salsa (2 spicy and 2 mild). Parking can be compact but on a weekend you can use the PNC bank lot and walk a couple steps to get to the food/coffee truck (would recommend as it's much less hectic). It is one of the few places where you can find Flor the Calabasa (Squash Flower) and Huitlacoche (fungus that grows on corn, tastes like a mushroom) Quesadillas in San Antonio. Naco Mexican Food Truck is a great spot if you're in the mood for authentic flavors. Out of everything we tried, the tortas really stood out, especially the Cubana which was packed, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. They also offer several different salsas, which is a nice touch to customize each bite. We did give their breakfast tacos a try, and while they were a bit underwhelming compared to other options, though the torta more than made up for it. Such a beautiful plate with a bounty of flavors. I loved my bite (or two) I had to go with the MEXICAN BRISKET & CHEESE TORTA on Rustic bread served with a side of black beans & chips, and so happy I did! I also added avocado and a sunny side egg, because why not?! It was the most absolute perfect Torta. Like, PERFECT! After reviewing Yelp! and the vendor website I had to try this place. Got the Mexican brisket and egg along with a chicken in green salsa taco. Both were outstanding from temperature to presentation to texture and taste. Really impressive for a taco truck in San Antonio. Tried a couple of their house made salsas as well and they are fresh and flavored but watch out- one or two of them are really full of kick. Kudos to the cook/chef and staff .. (From April, 2022) San Antonio yelpers in the YELP chat mentioned this taco truck as a must-try when visiting. I drove past this truck once on the way to the hotel the day before. So I knew I would come back to it. I cannot stress that this truck contained some of the finest breakfast tacos I've ever had. The chorizo, egg & cheese taco is succulent and filled with flavor from the melted oaxaca cheese, scrambled eggs, and that salty cureness from the chorizo we all love. Served on that toasted flour tortilla with the verde salsa, it made me one happy dude scarfing it down. I also did the chilaquiles mexican brisket taco; never knew chilaquiles could be a taco. So they did the tortillas sauteed in the red sauce and served a generous amount of it over the meat into the tortilla. So much so that you can't see the tortilla so had to use a fork to eat it. While I'm not one to use utensils to eat tacos with since you use your two hands for that, I found the taco to be tasty with no regrets on ordering it despite the messiness. Thank god for napkins! The truck was featured on Taco Chronicles San Antonio (confirmed by other Yelpers) and located at what looks like an abandoned gas station right off 410. There's picnic tables for seating and it's right next to the Theory Coffee truck. Don't let the prices dissuade you; may be a bit higher that what you're used to but you will get your $$$s worth here. No doubt that when I'm in the mood for breakfast tacos (which is ALWAYS), this will be my go-to when I'm in SA. Naco-nna lie, I'm a fan! read more

This is a fantastic food truck with plenty of great tasting items on the menu. In this instance, my brother ordered breakfast chilaquiles - I'm going back for another one tomorrow they were so good. The plate came with a small serving of refried black beans. The salsa was okay, because it wasn't super flavorful and was more watery than chunky. it didn't kill the vibe of the dish without the salsa. My brother also ordered a Mexican brisket & egg taco - he didn't leave me a bite, if that's telling. The food truck provides excellent service in a prime location where there is a taco gap in the world - on a corner in a now defunct gas station parking lot. After enjoying their food during Taco Rumble earlier this year, I've been a devout follower to all things Naco. This little food cart has been a delight each time I've eaten at it and makes for the perfect meal prior to flying out of the nearby airport. While their tacos are stellar, it's really the whole range of everything else (chilaquiles, tortas, enchiladas, etc.) that impresses me the most. My first time around their stand, I was standing amongst fools who couldn't get the name right (#1) but they were enamored with the food anyway. Usually tacos in a flour tortilla are a hard sell for me, but somehow they do it in a way where I could eat them by the fist full. They're large and full of flavor and I don't know of any other food truck that customizes it the way they do. This could be from additional toppings to even a keto version, where the tortilla is all cheese and nothing else. That's pretty amazing. Their brisket con queso is an excellent choice, as is their asada with huilacoche. The latter has a smokey flavor to it and is juicy with every bite. The classic chorizo and egg is definitely a San Antonio favorite, while I tend to prefer their brisket and egg. And a chilaquiles taco? Yes please. The chilaquiles doesn't just stop there. They offer it in torta form, as well as the traditional platillo that includes beans, cheeses, and some really banging salsa. While I'm not one to indulge on their omelettes, I'm quite certain that I could rock their bacon, brisket, and turkey torta without hesitation. It's always great to smell all the wonderful things cooking from their grill. Lastly, the service is warm and incredibly hospitable. They're always offering me additional things while I wait around, but I have to remind them that the food I've ordered is the true reward. The husband wife duo + other family members keep this place going and I'm pleased to report they're on the verge of opening up a brick and mortar location. My wife and I tried this food truck after seeing it on Netflix. The hype was real. there were a lot of people in line when we came a couple weeks ago. We had multiple different breakfast tacos which were delicious. The ambience was nice. There are a couple of different food trucks nearby. My only concern is that the breakfast tacos were pricey, and there are other places in SA you can get the same quality of bf tacos, but much more affordable. I've seen this truck before driving on the freeway. Then I saw this truck listed as the best food truck in the SA Current. I started seeing more lately when exiting the 410 at Nacogdoches, and there are always many people. I finally stopped by one morning spontaneously. As I perused the menu, I thought to myself that the prices were a tad high, but I guess it's okay for a food truck, let alone the best food truck. I assumed they would be the size of "normal" street tacos, so I chose three for myself and three (of the same) for my wife. I ordered them to eat at home, so I only looked at them once I got home. I did wonder why I got three boxes when I picked it up, though. Once I got home and opened the boxes, the tacos were like BAM! They were BIG and totally justified the price. If I had known their size, I would've only gotten two each. I forced myself to eat all three, though. I had bacon & egg, Mexican brisket, and a flat-top pastor. They were all great. Parking was a bit painful, as there are so many cars (and vendors) in such a tiny place, along with the customers that decide to park wherever they want.
