They served the pupusas with this type of coleslaw that was more tart than sweet. It was so good with the pupusas. We are not big fans of normal close slaw in our family. Yet this was a big hit everyone! We ordered the family parillada for us. Let me tell you, I'm a huge proponent of value. This was value PLUS! It came with lots of food! It came with the chicken of course, but also with some very tender and flavorful carne asada. It came on a bed of onion! But get this...there was more meat than onion! The rice freak did not enjoy the rice. It was just ok for us. I can see why. I think it's a cultural thing, and the way they prepare it is not what we are accustomed to.
