Good potential-- good flavor, poor service, portions, and environment. Service was sleepy and uninterested. Cooks stare at you while your order-- insane vibes (not the great ones). Restaurant is awkwardly silent. The two younger ladies and cooks hide in the back of the restaurant after they drop ur food off. Food was flavorful. Sized like a ration. $18 dollars after a prompted minimum 15% tip gets you: three thin flautas (which were fairly pretty good) a palm size dropping of asada, a scoop of pico de gallo and a single chip, a dollop of guacamole. It would be hilarious if it didn't cost 4x the minimum hourly wage. See picture- keep in mind this is to be an asada burrito but with no tortilla. Wanted to like this spot, especially I saw the management offer value focused meals during the last disastrous government shutdown by the ruling class that had our troops without pay for weeks. Surprisingly great tacos! The Baja fish tacos reminded me of San Diego Tacos. Also really liked the wall art. Just really wish they would also have grilled shrimp tacos. Senor Burro has become our go-to Mexican restaurant at work. Good value, delicious food, and friendly service. The big burritos are huge! 6" x 12"? And stuffed with quality ingredients. They have a salsa bar with different heat and flavors of salsa. You can also get some jalapeños, carrots, and onions. The chips that come with the salsa are so light and airy. It's fresh, flavorful, it comes with fries inside and the tortillas were different.. like made with more grasa (maybe) that gave a doughy texture? They took it upon themselves to add Diablo sauce out of spite against me (it doesn't come with Diablo, but I happen to be a spicy professional.) The cashier was a bit rude as it was closing time, but they pulled through anyways. I came back again to check it out after church with the family and everyone loved it. I still prefer the California burro with Diablo sauce and the cucumber aquas Fresca is pretty good and not too sweet. Absolutely cold inside for a cold day and empty, but clean. The cashier and the cook were absolutely lovely and sweet this early afternoon. My heart goes out to them. I ordered the shrimp burro and it's fresh and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The quesadilla was fresh and not too salty. Beans are flavorful and well hydrated. Tortillas are consistent in texture. There is also outdoor seating. Today I had the pleasure of trying this place out. My co worker brought in a breakfast burrito from Señor Burrito and I knew I had to go try it out for myself. The woman who helped me out was so sweet and helpful! So service was great! Now, what really attracted me to this place was the size of their burritos. Some places choose oversized portions and the flavor doesn't really exceed expectations but these burritos had fresh flavorful ingredients. From personal experience, the Mexican food in California is different from Texas. Don't expect this place to be like a Tex-Mex joint or a regular taqueria. Except for the tortillas, everything tastes really authentic, not processed at all - all fresh and homemade. They have a killer salsa bar with tons of options. The staff knows the menu inside and out and are happy to give suggestions. Everything comes out piping hot, and the burritos are huge - you'll definitely have leftovers. Another first time experience. They were having a grand opening today according to IG but they've been open for months? Idk. Either way they gave me a card for a free burrito at next visit. Place had plenty of people there not overly packed and was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly. I went inside to order to go. I got the breakfast burrito which came with a side of red and green salsa. I did not try either. The burrito is pretty massive. I did not find they skimped on the filling. It came with beans, eggs, ham, cheese and sour cream. I thought the sour cream would be a big no for me but you couldn't even taste it. The tortillas were fresh not store bought. This week they had great deals to include dollar fish tacos, two dollar burritos, and three dollars flautas. I believe the fish tacos are going to stay at a dollar, but Don't quote me on that though. I decided on a fish taco and a burrito thinking that I was going to be hungry just with a fish taco. I didn't realize how big the portions were. Apparently the $2 burrito is the small one and to me it was huge. The fish tacos are good. They fish is fried. It comes with a slaw and a savory sauce . I love the corn tortilla. Not sure if it's homemade, but it is legit. They have a salsa bar with all types of salsa. I'm a chicken when it comes to spice, so I thought they were kind of spicy. The green one was the best one I could tolerate. They have fountain drinks or aguas frescas. I had their cucumber one and it was delicious. Everyone was extremely nice. They explained the ordering process and were patient with me when I was trying to make my decisions. Very clean, and good customer service. We ordered the Carne Asada Fries, 3 Rolled Tacos, The Breakfast Burrito, a Churro, and a Carne Asada Quesadilla (I forgot to take a picture of it). My husband got a Horchata, he said it was really good. The 3 Rolled Tacos were SO GOOD. Honestly my favorite food item I got, they were perfect and fresh. I would go back for these alone! Genuinely no complaints. The Carne Asada Fries were good, the Churro was good, and my husband said the Carne Asada Quesadilla was good. The Breakfast Burrito, was good too, although I wish it was ham pieces instead of slices (just a personal preference). Everything was good! I didn't realize they opened just last week, but the owner was there and asked how everything was, he even gave us a sample of Birria. Which was good as well, everything was fresh. He didn't know I was making a review, and we bought everything ourselves total was about $50 (6 items including a large drink). All and all, if you like good Mexican food, you will probably like this place. If you like California Mexican food, you will probably like this place. The food is excellent. I've been going here since they opened. That is consistent. But, also consistent is the fact the people at the counter and drive thru don't seem to understand how to work the register. Today, I went in the drive thru, ordered 3 bean and cheese and I Mom's Chile Verde add extra beans and add rice in burrito. She had me pull up didn't get it right. I came in, waited 10 min for her to help a customer with one burrito, finally the cook came out to work the register. Please, train your employees before throwing them by themselves. I really want you guys to make it! But, I'm really pretty frustrated and wondering if it's worth the 20 minutes I drive to patron your restaurant. read more

WOW! Where do I start with this little gem, this place was DELICIOUS!!! So not knowing where to go and I was in the area, saw the flying flags that said 3 rolled tacos with the fixings for $3. Got my order, drove home which wasn't close and walked in my door placed my bag on my kitchen island and ripped away at my brown bag to reveal a big burrito and 2 other containers one had my rolled tacos the other had my fries that I had opted out in in my burrito. Everything was piping hot even with my drive home , my fries were crispy and delicious you could tell the oil was nice and clean, thank you for that. My rolled tacos were hitting so hard, they were crispy and savory with chicken flavor they were covered with crema, guacamole and cheese! They were so good but let me tell you the star was that burrito!!! Packed with flavor my asada was juicy and tender and all his little friends that came to the party weren't bad they just heightened my burrito to another level!! Stopped in on the advice of a friend and it turns out this is only the second day Señor Burrow has been open and you can tell because they're still construction going on inside but the kitchen is operational. Since this was my first time here, I decided to order the grand opening specials, the fish taco the rolled tacos, and the bean burrito all for $6, can't beat that. The staff was real friendly, and they brought the order to my table when it was ready. Also, they have a nice salsa bar on the side with all the other condiments so I picked a couple out and sat down to eat. First up was the fish taco, it was served on a yellow corn tortilla with slaw. The fish was fried and was nice and crunchy and moist on the inside; I squeezed a little lime, and added a little bit of salsa and the taco came out so flavorful. Next, was the rolled tacos aka flautas. The three flautas were nice and crunchy on the outside with a soft chicken filling on the inside. They are covered with a creamy sauce and cheese. I just dipped each bite in some salsa and enjoyed every bit. Finally, the bean burrito was a good size and beans themselves were well seasoned and tasty. Overall, considering this spot has only been open for two days, The kitchen is in full stride already as all of the food they were putting out was delicious. I really want to give this place more stars. Too bad the food is really good but the cooks can be "challenging". My wife placed an order online and I went to pick it up. When I got home we were missing one of the burritos. I called and was told that I can come and pick it up. When I returned the nice young gentleman at the front said that the cook said he put it in the bag and saying this is my 4th time doing this. (This is the 2nd time coming here) After the gentleman and the cook had a conversation, I guess he was convinced to make the missing item. The salsas were all OK, but the verde was definitely my favorite. The "rolled tacos" are SA flautas and they were the best thing I tried. Mmm. New chain restaurants in San Antonio. Walls note franchise started in San Diego. Stopped by for takeout and the decor in the restaurant is very nice for a fast food restaurant. Interior is bright and inviting and the entire menu is on big screen panels above the register. After perusing the menu for a few minutes since it was my first time ordering the nice lady running the place took my order. I ordered three of their folded beef tacos and ordered 3 beef rolled tacos (Flautas) for my wife with a side of guacamole. Order came out of the kitchen quickly and was delivered to where I was seated. So home I went to sample this inexpensive $20 meal. When I arrived home 5 minutes later we munched out on our meal. And here's the verdict: As a new entry into the Mexican Food world of SA, Senior Burro is just ok and here's why. The folded tacos were the best part of our meal as they were fairly large, had plenty of meat and weren't too greasy. The beef in them is shredded beef, not simply ground beef but it suffered from a lack of seasoning. The same meat is used in the flauta style rolled tacos so they had the same flavor. Wife said they had too many toppings as there was a three cheese blend and guacamole crema that muted the crisp crunch of the taco. If they find some spices for their meat, they will be fine. The side of guacamole was seasoned nicely so I think maybe the chef just failed to taste his beef before serving. All in all, I'll try them again soon and hopefully be able to update my review. read more

Cashier was so cheerful even though she had a line and still friendly and answered all my questions. She told me the specials they had going on and took my order. I had the $1.00 fish tacos and flautas added a asada taco with drink. My total came out to less than $10.00. The hot sauces were very good they had different levels of heat to them and the flautas were delicious. The only thing I did find is that the fish taco was a little salty. I love the open space they had so that if we have a big family it would be very convenient and not to loud. There was also plenty of parking available.
