I came to this location to eat as I heard it was a great place to try. As I was standing in line to order, I watched employees at this location treat a Door Dasher with complete disrespect. The Dasher politely checked in with who she had an order for, then politely asked to use the restroom while she waited for the order to be ready. The employee shouted, "No, the restroom is for paying customers only!" The woman Dasher felt so degraded and belittled. So this woman can deliver this restaurant's food for them while so they can make even more money, but they won't even allow her to use their restroom? I felt so bad for the woman and how she was treated by the employees of this establishment that I simply walked out without ordering and I will never return. read more

Went in one evening to try this place with my family. We all ordered our food to go, and the containers were placed inside a bag that was tightly knotted shut, so we didn't think to open everything until we got home. My son ordered the enchiladas, and when we opened the container, we found cold tortillas rolled around cheese. There was no enchilada sauce, the cheese wasn't melted, and the tortillas were cold. Food: everything tasted great. Shrimp tacos had great flavor the roasted salsa added a nice addition of flavor. Chicken enchiladas with rice and beans were also good but didn't really stand out. Quesobirria tacos with consume was also really good. Definitely needed the toppings and salsa to add flavor but the crunch from the taco dipped into the consome definitely hit the spot. They offered 5 different salsas and had them ranked from least to most spicy, the roasted one was my favorite. Jamaica was on the sour side and I prefer mine to be a little sweeter. Cucumber lemonade was refreshing and had basil seeds in there as well. Service: total came out to $47. Food came out fast. Everyone was super nice. Cashier was well informed of the menu and explained the different plates offered. Ambiance: place was clean. Finally got around to trying the food here. Overall not too bad. The service was great, the staff were super nice, and the food came out quick. We had the birria caldo, shrimp mini tacos, and asada fries. Let's start with the caldo. Love the dish ware. It was overall decent. I think all birria should have a kick to it. This one didn't, but it was actually quite tasty and not over salted like most places in town. It also came with yellow corn tortillas, which match PERFECTLY with birria. Good portion too. My son's mini tacos were good. The only issue was some of the tacos had more pepper than actual shrimp. The most disappointing dish was the asada fries. The reason was the cheese sauce they used was watery. The fries at the bottom turned to mush. Not very pleasant or what you expect from fries. Just change the sauce and you have something. The asada portion was good. It was just very un appetizing as is. Almost forgot we also ordered ceviche. It was just ok. Again it just was missing the kick and lacked any punch. The one thing we all agreed on was the sauces helped TREMENDOUSLY with all the dishes. Amazing sauces! It was affordable and was above average in flavor. The best veggie nachos ever! I love nachos; I don't eat meat or dairy. Wapo Taco has great food. You can bet the nachos with meat and cheese will be off the chart, if that's your preference. They have great breakfast tacos and offer a variety of Mexican food for lunch and dinner. I ordered the Veggie Loaded Nachos. They come with Home-made chips topped with vegan beans, grilled zucchini, squash, onions, bell peppers, loads of cheese, and topped with sour cream and avocado slices. We are consistent customers but after today not anymore. 4 out of 7 tacos ordered at the drive thru were wrong. Wapo taco thinks 1 strip of bacon is "extra" apparently. When called about the problem, the manager wanted us to drive 5 miles back to the location for the missing items with no care about the inconvenience or ruining our breakfast. So fair warning, check your tacos before you leave if you modified it. Their street tacos with Barbacoa were simple and delicious, a little lime, and being able to add your own salsa or the Queso gives you the freedom to enjoy them differently! The quesiTaco without the jus was a little dry and hard to eat, but flavor was on point with or without the jus!, my favorite though was their fish taco, fried tilapia, slaw and their secret sauce, it was phenomenal! Also had the birriadilla, great flavor, the jus it comes with was great! Lastly, their beans and rice, it may be a simple thing but their beans were exceptional! Didn't try the green salsa, just looking at it made me think it would be too spicy for my preferences. Loved that they came with sour cream and a side of rice. Waco taco has good food and that's it! Customer service is never good and they charge for extra salsa at .50 a salsa. With loaded nachos it comes with two salsas but we had to pay for the extra ones 1.08 for 2! I give them 2 stars for the food but everything else needs improvement. I'm changing this review to 1 star. Management reached out saying they didn't like that I was mentioning the charge for salsa. It's disappointing. They need list of improving to do. read more

We were surprised with dinner tonight and holy moly it was great! This place wasn't on my list or even my radar admittedly so when my mom said she stopped by here to grab us food, I was a little hesitant. Hot, fresh, full of flavor, definitely the way to erase my hesitation. The burrito was so flavorful and I'm not 100% sure what that broth sauce is but man.. dipping it in the sauce elevated it to a whole other level even though it was already incredible on its own. I would eat that in my dreams. I'm not a fan of enchiladas that much but the chicken wasn't dry on the inside like I've experienced a million times and the sauce they put on the outside was creamy, a little limey and just really worked. Their beans and rice are also some of the best I've had. The tacos were basic: good but not anything to rave over. I do like that they keep them simple and don't add all that extra stuff like lettuce, sour cream, tomato, and I appreciate them putting sauces on the side. Finally, the quesadilla. Probably one of the easiest things you can make in the world, so I never expect this elaborate, over the top experience eating one but this was hands down the best quesadilla I've ever had. It was PACKEDc the fajita chicken was spicy, smokey, juicy, and just utterly delicious. The outside was a little crispy, had that nice 'toasted' taste and the perfect amount of cheese to be gooey but not have the toppings fall all over the place. I would 100% eat here again. read more

Tacos and more at a fair price. The restaurant is small, but tables clear up quickly. You order at the register and they will bring out your food. Chips and queso: that was a fail. The queso was super runny. I actually had to break the chips, scoop up the cheese with a spoon and then add the crumbled chips. Gobernador taco: shrimp on a flour tortilla. The tortilla was delicious. Perfectly crispy. The sauce has a little kick to it. The taco was a good size. Baja-C taco: on corn tortillas (the out of the bag ones). Good flavor. Not a big difference from the Gobernador except they add cole slaw and it's on corn instead of flour. Beans and rice: I ordered this on the side. The beans are refried. The rice is Mexican style. Both were good. The salsa bar: best part of the meal. They have all types of add ons. The salsa ranges from mild to extremely spicy. They also have grilled jalapeños. Drinks: I had the margarita. It comes frozen. It was just what I expected. It did not disappoint. Dessert: they have the best coconut pecan cookies. They are soft and come in a package of two. Staff: they were nice, but did drop the ball twice. They forgot about our drinks and my side order. We had to ask for our drinks when we figured they weren't going to be brought out to us. I think this may happen often since when we were ordering, someone came up to the register to inquire about their drinks. Easy solution is to serve the drinks while the customer is paying. We've been going to Wapo Taco for the past few years and the food has always been really good, especially their salsas. But, the service is going down hill so much. No one wants to just do their dang job! The past two visits have made us mad enough to never return. Both times, the ladies at the drive thru asked us what kind of salsa we wanted, several times. Before driving off, we ask (both visits) if the salsa is in the bag and they look you dead in the face and tell you Yes. We pull off and dig through all the food in search of the salsa and it's not in there!!
