The service is impeccable, it's a good vibe and it makes me feel right at home. The only problem is that the Menudo smells like the meat wasn't washed properly. I got really sick afterwards. I'm not the type to complain or send my food back. Came here on Easter Sunday at 8:30am and it was already packed. We got seated in about 20 min and had a really nice server. She was attentive and her attitude was so nice. We would ask her for more tortillas salsa and never complained how many times we asked. The only thing is they charge for everything here. lol. Menudo was good, I can say I will be coming back for it. The large is LARGE! It's a huge bowl. You order the menudo which is just the meat and broth. You can add hominy, nervios, and pata. Of coarse they charge you for the additions. The broth was good, not too rich and didn't taste "dirty" if you know what I mean. You get sides of onion, cilantro, & lemon. There is also oregano and chile on the table for your liking. Now I will say that it was mi second time here and it was better the second time around. I was disappointed the first time but could not base it on first impression . I had to try it again and they did not disappoint. The price is above what I would consider reasonable, but what isn't expensive anymore! Wife ordered carne en su jugo and it was a big surprise for me. I will be ordering this next time I go. It was a very flavorful dish. Really opened my taste buds. I recommend you try this also. The chilaquiles trio was also very good. Huge portion and very tasty. My son could not finish the dish. It's enough for 2 people. Over all I give it a 5 because it's checks all boxes in regard to being good menudo you can go out and get. First and foremost, We were recommended solely because of the food. And I must say, the food is absolutely delicious. Gotta give credit where credit is due for sure!! Service; well the service is unfortunately lacking. It's bad, we have been back three times thinking maybe it was maybe just us. Unfortunately the third experience was just as bad. And it's not just us, the customers who sat next to us those three visits, also were having trouble. They seat you down and take forever to get to you. They don't even offer water if they know it's going to be a while to attend to you. And when they finally do. They can't seem to get tables orders right! We got other customers order, they were getting our order. The waitresses were always confused on all three visits. The lady manager who always stands by the register simply stands there looking around. And it's very apparent that waitresses are always confused. She doesn't step up to help customers waiting for to long. Obviously the employees are overwhelmed. It's for one reason...the food is great and the demand is high. So maybe she needs to have a better system, just saying. Standing back there doesn't help her boss at all. When I saw they only had a 3 star rating. I was disappointed yet not surprised. I thought it was only us. I really hope Mr. Menudo actually reads the reviews. The ambience is ok, I mean they are blessed that they are extremely busy because they make delicious and authentic food. Ok finally tried this place. Wow it's great . fantastic waitress but what's better is the food we enjoyed. I had two pork tamales with a side of their great beans. My partner has a small bowl of menudo he said it's the best menudo he's had in years. The place is spotless and very clean. You can tell the owner take great pride in their restaurant.
