The service was good but it's pricy. Paps was very friendly and I was out in a reasonable amount of time.

Avoid this franchise!!There is a reason this business is not a BBb. Veh went in for a tire swap and oil change. Tech said the coolant was only good up to -15 Celsius and should be changed. My son agreed Unfortunately for Mr lube who often states " they follow maintenance protocols from manual and age of veh. (This is their our for doing work that is not asked for and people subsequently complain). Our vehicle was just in to sherwood ford 6 months ago and they flushed the coolant. I attempted to settle this informally but the manager , Nittish, and then owner Stuart refused to acknowledge. Blatant fraud and it luckily can be proven by my recent service. The additional "your coolant is only good to -15 degrees will nullify Mr Lubes "go to" response everytime they do this to unsuspecting customers. Do not visit this particular Mr lube. read more

Went in for an oil change and requested they check my power steering fluid because my steering was feeling very rough. I would assume this is standard procedure as they check all fluids but I specifically requested that he check. Asked before I left "Did you check my power steering fluid" Yes it's fine I was told. 4 days later it's in to the mechanic where he informed me the power steering reservoir was completely empty. Dude. Do your job. If you're not sure how to check the fluid - ask one of your co-workers then and there... Sorry. But this is the last time I visit. read more

I've been coming here for years, and don't understand all the negative reviews myself. I've personally never experienced anything but stellar and attentive service. Even more so lately. On more than one occasion I've had technicians make me aware of potential issues but also let me know it's something I can do myself. My last trip in the manager even let me know that based on my vehicle and the oil I use I could go a lot longer between visits. This has been my go to oil change location for the past 6 years and will continue to be. read more

I just visited to the Mr .lube the location of 590 baseline road which is in sherwood park .The behaviour of the manager was so rude .I think he is new his name is justin prasad he is so irresponsible and his behaviour was so bad with me as well as he is also talking badly with their staff by using abusive words . So i was just thinking to write a review because i went over there many times and the behaviour of the last manager is really good and polite even the store was well clean last time but as of now its just fully messed up .I don't like their services and they are taking so much time to just change the oil . read more

Came in for an oil change in Dec 2018. As usual I sit in my car, read, check emails, etc. The technician, after a bit, comes to me and asks if I knew one of my air lines was broken? I said NO, could he show me? In my head I'm wondering why a check engine light hadn't gone on? I see the line from the air filter that goes into the engine is completely unattached. I again think why wouldn't this cause a check engine light to go off? And I wonder if it in fact was broken during this service, since the only way it could have broken is if the air filter casing is removed and that ONLY happens when I get an oil change. The technician suggests it likely broke at the last service and suggests I contact them. I drive away from the oil change service and IMMEDIATELY I start hearing an annoying whistling sound that wasn't there before. The next day my check engine light goes on and lo and behold the error code indicates it's an air line malfunction. If this break had, in fact, occurred at my LAST service - several months prior - this would have occurred after that service. But it only occurred after my service at the BASELINE Mr. Lube the very next day. I phone the manager to voice my concerns and even suggest that the technician may not even have realized it broke while he was checking my air filter. The manager said they'd open an investigation and call me back in a 48 hours. At this point, I expect I'd be included in this so-called investigation, at the very least be asked to provide my experience and perspective. Nope - no contact. I get a call 4 DAYS later saying they were standing by their technician's account that the break was already there. Despite ALL evidence that that there was NO indication of a problem until AFTER I'd left their service bay. I was not impressed. I contacted the dealership to find out how much it would cost to fix the problem. The part alone (no labour) will be $460. I called Mr Lube back and asked how my information was reviewed during this so-called investigation. How was I to know my account was even accurately conveyed? The manager took offense at my implication (really? If the investigation doesn't include the complainant, how can it be called an investigation?). He offered to escalate my complaint to the regional manager. I said great - have him call me. Because it was right before Christmas by this time, he said I'd get a call the week after Christmas. It's now THREE WEEKS later and I have not received a call. This is how they treat customers - deny and ignore. I will be taking this up further. ALL evidence points to this break being caused by their service. They denied it - blaming a previous service, which is ludicrous given the immediate problems after the Dec service. They conduct a bogus "investigation" which did NOT include me as the complainant, they deny any wrongdoing, and now ignore me completely. DO NOT get your car serviced at this location if you value your vehicle. read more

Highly not recommended because I brought the my girlfriends van in for a oil change a month ago and just found out the drain plug to drain the oil wasn't tightened it was hand tight I am not impressed as you they could wreck the engine if it would have lost more oil out we only lost about a litter of oil and I won't be taking the van to any mr lube again read more

Please do not change your wheels here for any reason, I had probably my worst customer experience at the Sherwood park baseline road store. Just purchased my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee which was in immaculate condition and after having it fully waxed and xpel fitted took it to have winter tires on. I was going to Canmore the following weekend so needed to get these changed that day. To my horror when I had got home I checked the wheels as one of my to sensors had stated it was low and every single wheel had either chip damage from the lug wrench or scapes from the tire being changed... I drove back and spoke to the manager who seemed to be very apologetic and took full responsibility for the damage! Told me to file a complaint and claim to the owner.. Well to cut the story short after sending in about 30 pictures of damage and what the wheels looked like previously and waiting for over a month for " apparent wheel experts " the owner Stuart deems it not there fault and calls me basically a liar.. At first he states he would take the pictures to his wheel expert, then never tells me what they think but that he needs to get a second opinion!!. "Sounds like the first guy sided with me". Then after 2 more weeks and not replying to my emails he states that "HE". Doesn't think the damage was caused by his staff... PLEASE IF YOU VALUE YOUR VEHICLE OR ARE EXTREMELY CAR PROUD AVOID HAVING YOU WHEELS CHANGED HERE. This was the newest and most expensive vehicle I have brought and am stuck with a $900 bill getting these refinished... Use a professional tire shop and do not make the mistake I did read more

Do not take your vehicle to the location on Baseline in Sherwood Park. I had been getting my oil changed here for the last 3 years and never had an issue. I went in for an oil change and all seemed normal. A few days after going into the shop I noticed a large oil leak under my vehicle. I chose to take it into a friend who is a mechanic that noticed the oil pan had been damaged during the last oil change. In addition to that it looked like the oil had never been changed, it was a black sludge. The damaged oil pan and new oil change ended up costing me an additional $700 in addition to the work I had paid for at Mr. Lube. I contacted the manager at Mr. Lube who referred me to his supervisor that in turn asked me to bring the part in to have it inspected by a mechanic of their choosing. At that point the mechanic no longer had the replaced part. I asked the supervisor for a minimal refund of the money I paid them for the oil change that had clearly not been done and he has refused to respond. I have been getting my oil changes done without an issue at this located for years, but the unprofessionalism and poor customer service is unacceptable. Their staff is not trained properly and there is zero accountability on their end for poor service. A simple oil change ended up costing me an additional $700. Worst place ever! Completely messed up my car and long story short had to get my newer 2012 car towed after they carelessly messed it up.

Beware, they water down their washer fluid, which then it freezes, and makes it very hard to clean windows! The tech asked if I wanted my hinges liberated, I said sure, and then he decided he didn't want to do them as none were squeaking. Will never go back!! read more

Originally, I wasn't planning on writing a review online about the service I received at the Sherwood Park Mr. Lube location, but after what I experienced, I feel like I have no choice. If 0/5 stars was a thing, that's what Mr. Lube would receive. On February 5th, I brought my car in for an oil change. The technician working on my car hit my coolant hose, causing the coolant to explode all under my hood. The supervisor came over to assess the situation and deemed my car "no longer drivable" because of the coolant being everywhere. I'm sure you could imagine how happy I was hearing that on a Monday night after a long day at work. They pushed me to sign an agreement stating that I wouldn't drive my car off the lot and then offered to have my car towed to their affiliated mechanic in order to look at the situation and deem who was responsible for this issue. If I was deemed responsible, I would have to not only pay for the repairs, but also for the towing service. The manager made it known that it would "likely not be their fault." In being told about the damages and the events that lead up to this instance, the staff were not taking any responsibility for what happened or even apologizing for the inconvenience that was caused. According to their story (which they tried to change), they "saw something wrong with my car" but then proceeded to palpate around anyway. They were telling me that two people were working on my car when the incident happened; however, there was only one at the time. Once the coolant exploded, that's when other technicians and the supervisor were called over. While explaining what had happened, I requested for them to call my boyfriend to explain it to him as he knows a lot about cars. They said they would not call him and talk to him, although they understood my request stating, "I understand that you're not as knowledgeable about cars, given that you're a female." The manager (who wasn't present on the night of the incident) had quite the attitude toward this entire situation and was pushy with regard to how I should handle things. Again, not once did he apologize for the inconvenience or even attempt to work through this together. He also refused to speak with my boyfriend although I provided consent to do so, and again said something to the effect of me being a woman and not being comfortable dealing with cars. As a manager, Bruce's attitude and customer service skills, as well as his employees, are actually disgusting. I ended up getting my car towed by AMA to my mechanic and had them provide me a quote of the damages/replacements and I left it with an employee to give to Bruce on the following Monday. I explained to the employee that I had a quote for Bruce to look over from the incident I had, and he responded with "I can give this to Bruce, but he'll likely not pay for it." I'm not quite sure why he felt the need to say that, but it doesn't surprise me. I emailed the Mr. Lube head office and explained my entire scenario a week ago and I just received a response back this morning stating the following: - "In regard to the issue with the cooling system of your vehicle, these models are known for issues of this nature and we do not see any evidence that anything done by our staff could have caused the parts in question to disintegrate." If Mr. Lube is AWARE of these ISSUES, why on earth do they continue to service these car models? - "For that reasons, we will not offer any assistance with our compensation for any repairs that may be necessary." Wow, thank you so much.. You've really outdone yourself taking this scenario seriously. For such a big company, they have 0 understanding of not only their customer service etiquette, but also their desire to work with their customers to ensure customer loyalty. - "You also expressed a number of concerns about the conduct of our manager and our staff. Understand that these are people we have worked closely with over a long period of time, and we can therefore state with complete confidence that no disrespect was intended." Basically what is being said is that it's okay to treat customers this way, completely avoid taking responsibility or accountability for any actions, not apologize for any inconvenience, and state sexist comments? Let me give you a round of applause; I didn't realize what year we were in. - "Thank you again for taking the time to contact us. We acknowledge and regret that you are unlikely to be satisfied with the position we have taken in this matter; however, we believe it to be fair and appropriate to the facts, and we consider this matter closed. Take good care." Again, here's an example of staff members failing to acknowledge the experience and or recognize the feelings/concerns of their customers. Apparently wanting to keep loyal customers is nil. At this point, I would not recommend attending any Mr. Lube locations. Their new slogan should be "Doing it wrong before your eyes." I had taken my Ford Escape into Mr. Lube in Sherwood Park on baseline road. Have been going there for years. I have never had a problem until now, when they did an oil change to my vehicle back in late 2014. I drive home after the oil change and woke up the next morning to find a fairly large oil puddle under my front end. I call Mr. Lube and the manager Dustin said to bring it in right away. I went down right away and was taken inside within 15 minutes. the problem they found was that the fellow who was working under my vehicle did not tighten the bolt that the oil drains from. I told the manager at the time it was all over my concrete driveway and was told there is nothing they can do to clean it up, but was willing to give me 5 free complete oil changes to make up for this mistake as it is on Mr. Lube for not tightening the bolt up properly. I agreed to this as I was told nothing could be done for the oil spillage on my driveway. I received my last oil change in Feb 2015 at no cost as pre agreed on with the manager of Mr. Lube , and was told the fellow who did this was let go as this is not the first occurrence with him not tightening bolts on the vehicles he had serviced. I called into Mr. Lube today as I park my vehicle during winter months and now that my vehicle is being driven again I wanted an oil change. A very nice manager on the phone named Bruce answered my call and I asked for Dustin not knowing he was let go do to these type of problems given customers free oil changes when he was to follow a different procedure so they let him go. I told the new manager what the deal was and I live out of town so I wanted to make sure Mr. Lube would still honor there agreement that was given to me by Dustin. He looked it up but could not see free oil changes but seen I had a free one in Feb 2015 at there location as that is where I always went. he could see notes about oil spillage on my driveway, but again no mention of the oil changes that Dustin promised even know it shows one from Feb 2015. which would leave me 4 full changes left, but know they have to ask there area supervisor. I will let everyone know what the out come will be as soon as I hear back tomorrow as they said they will have an answer for this. If they try and back out of it I will also post on all social media including calling there head office, and Google review it as well. I am not blaming the new manager for what he is doing as he had no idea what happened but as Mr. Lube's manager Promised to take care of it I would expect them to follow through especially when it is a long time customer . Had the transmission service done. Worker did not tighten the hose clamps and it broke open on the highway shooting transmission fluid all over the place. Had the SUV fixed in Kelowna. When I returned, the worker that caused the problem offered me three free oil changes as compensation. That employee no longer works there and management refuses to honor the commitment made by a employee even though I have an invoice with those promises on it. Management checked with the operations manager and head office and they all feel they have no obligation for their employees actions. read more

Disregard the negative reviews from people below, they have likely hired new staff since those review were posted 1+ years ago. I went to see these guys for an oil change, they were professional and accommodating. They did not try to up-sell me every little thing, they changed my oil and had 5 staff working on my vehicle at the same time; changing oil, cleaning windshield, changing light build, fixing license plate screws, reviewing any other concerns. The gentlemen with the dreadlocks and beard (can't remember his name) was really helpful, if he isn't running the Mr Lube already, he should be. Thanks guys. read more

HORRIBLE service. I went to get my oil changed where the employee had let air out of my right tire. I contacted the location to let them know that my right tire sensor immediately stopped working the moment I left. They told me to add air and if that didn't work take it the my nearest location. When I took it to my closest location, the employee there informed me that nothing could be done. I then called back the Sherwood Park location and was asked to bring it back to their store as they were sure they could just reprogram the sensor with a new tool they just purchased. When I arrived after driving an additional 40 mins, I again was told that nothing could be done and they have NO idea about this tool or how to reprogram it. I called the managers's personal cell number and left my personal cell. When I finally got a hold of the manager, he said "...but I left you 2 messages?". Conveniently on my work phone and after hours. He obviously did not care. He then told me that I could take it to a shop that they recommend and work alongside to determine whether they were liable. A sensor is apparently $50 and my time wasted is worth SO MUCH more. If this location cared about customer service AT ALL they would have offered free wipers or SOMETHING for my wasted time. read more
