Apparently, I posted my review in the wrong section so here is my review AGAIN. I want to give this poor 1 star review to the owner named "Terry Whin-Yates" from Mr. Locksmith for his franchise location in Surrey BC. It's not the Indian guy in the photo, it's the other photo of the elderly Caucasian bald gentleman whom I am reviewing. I have no idea why there are good reviews for this locksmith company in so many Yelp locations. He runs a large franchise of his company in various locations throughout the Lower Mainland (Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, Langley, etc). On paper, the company sounds very professional. The website http://mrprolockgta.com/ looked so professional and it seemed like it had a big company presence since it is all over Youtube too. His emails also looked so professional, all ending with "Terry Whin-Yates BA Hons (Criminology), 3rd Generation Master Locksmith, 25+ Years Experience, Security License : B4227, 1-604-773-5625, www.mrlocksmith.com, www.mrprolock.com". But it was the most terrible service I have ever received! I'm not sure if he runs the different Mr. Locksmiths as one owner to many franchisees, or if it's run by a guy and maybe he contracts many many locksmiths under him and sends them out? Whatever the case, it was completely disorganized.
This is what happened. I sent him a text on Sept 27th. We sent texts back and forth and here was the weird thing. I sent him my tenants' address in my investment condo in Surrey BC and right after that, he wrote again asking what the address was. That was the first red flag. He asked me to send him photos of the locks that were damaged, so I did via email. Then he asked me again later to send again. This was the second red flag on how I was starting to think this is a very disorganized company! He confirmed a date and time with the tenants, and then no-showed them on October 5th or 6th. When I asked him what happened, he said he was out of town or on holiday. Uh ok, but don't waste my tenants' time and not pick up their calls! Then my tenants and I reached out to him to re-schedule and he said he would get back to us real quick after he returns, and then we got no callback or text at all. I still have screenshots of all the messages and emails of everything, which wasted so much time and took up from Sept 27th to Oct 7th. By Oct 8th, I decided to give up and went to another locksmith and he was fixing the issue pretty much right away. Don't go to this company, it's just so chaotic, disorganized, and frankly, if it didn't exist on Yelp, I would have thought this was all a prank or a troll trying to waste my time. I just saw there was a reviewer named Michael O on Yelp who wrote that this company is a fraud as well. I should have taken note of that review. Anyway this was a big waste of time. Highly DO NOT recommend at all. It was like talking to several different people all on one phone number (604-773-5625), or someone extremely disorganized. It was really weird. If you look at my profile, you will see I have many reviews and am a legitimate reviewer. I rarely post negative reviews in Yelp. read more
