Don't call the 1 800 number to get your vehicle towed, they don't leave docs nor pay you without follow up

(sorry, but guys don't care for a womans opinion, its like a guy telling a chic what kind of purse to buy) The guys that even work there, think they got it figured all out, they are retail staff and have a bad attitude. They think that they have degree in auto mechanics when they get paid a few peanuts to scroll on a computer, clicking on links to order parts. I have been a customer at Napa for a VERY long time. I happened to stumbled in this store since I was in the area, and I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO GO TO A DIFFERENT ONE. these people are a joke. As a matter of fact, there customer service was so poor, I will be reporting them to head office, and further my actions. No need to treat a customer like the dirt on the floor, go get a job flippin burgers if you cant deal with the heat. i wont ever go back to this location. the people are really pathetic.

When Home Depot, Canadian Tire, and Rona doesn't make the cut…read more You come here. I had plumbing issues. The nut surrounding a faucet cartridge was too big for any of my wrenches and sockets. Online searches for a larger socket/wrench lead me to sets of sockets and wrenches in the hundreds of $$'s. I didn't need that. All I needed was one size, since I have the ratchet. Princess Auto popped up on my search. Lo and behold, they sell the individual sockets from ~$10 - $15 each! Exactly what I was looking for! A far cry from the 100's of $$'s. Problem solved. I also had to get a driver adapter for the 1/4 in to 1/2 in size for the socket. I ended up getting 5 sockets in total, because I didn't know the size of that nut. I did this over two visits. Returns and exchanges were a breeze. No questions asked. I only needed the one socket an they happily delivered for my needs. It's out of the way for me, but it meant that I didn't have to buy an entire set of tools that would end up sitting around. In search of an odd tool? Recommend you do a search here. They just might have it.

Wow nothing has changed since last time I was here which was like at least 7 years ago. Princess Auto can be compared to Harbour Tools in the USA. Their prices are at the low end but there is a reason for that. You are sacrificing quality too for the price you pay. Overall, it is not bad. There are plenty of parking here. But to get to the store is quite tricky. It is not easy to find the entrance. They do have a giant sign that say Princess Auto. The store is big.

Unless they think you're just some computer nerd looking for a loud car to impress ladies with. Then they rip you off. BIG TIME. It's been a long time coming but I thought I'd check in on corvette specialties and weigh in on my experience for other people considering their services. I'm only sharing my first hand experiences, and any conversation or activity that took place when I was not present are not being recounted. I was brought to corvette specialties by an excited friend who had been called and told that they were done with his engine rebuild. They wanted one more payment (the total was *double* their initial estimate but when you consider these are the specialists, it's worth it, right?) and since it had been six months, my friend brought a cheque and was eager to pick up his vehicle. The front end of his corvette was still lowered - the order was to raise it to stock (restore to stock entirely, in fact) and get it to collectible condition. When my friend pointed this out, the rep said "Just lower the back end" so it would be even. I was pretty taken aback by that, because the idea of rebuilding a classic car to stock sounds like a pretty typical way to show respect to a brand your entire company represents... But maybe I just don't understand how genius works? So we went out to see the actual car. It been driven out from the shop and into the parking lot. It was filthy. There was a nail embedded in one of the tires, and the tire stem caps were off. The oil cap was off, and *there was no oil in the engine*. The vehicle looked like it had been sitting outside for a year. They'd had it for at least six months, and sometimes shops are dirty, but it was surprising to see the vehicle in such bad shape while in their care. Still, would prefer to have waited a few minutes for them to put oil in the engine BEFORE they drove it out of the shop. Upon starting the newly rebuilt engine, it was backfiring. My friend pointed this out. The mechanic (The owner's son?) said "It's not backfiring." We went around to the back of the car. "Put your hand over the tailpipe, you can feel it. It's backfiring" my friend said (True fact - you can feel the air blasting out in uneven bursts if your engine is running rough. But since this is a newly rebuilt engine with ZERO MILES on it, it should be as new, right?) The mechanic gave some hobnob about how that's normal as it's a closed loop system. When he was called out on being full of crap, his face dropped. He quickly disappeared and returned with daddy. The rest of the conversation took place away from me, so I won't include it here. They walk back over to where I am, and my friend wants to take it for a test drive. The owner said he could not take it for a test drive because they had just adjusted the wheels and needed to still tighten the bolts and "adjust a few things" This is what they actually said - They admitted to driving the car out of the shop (DRIVING IT!!!) before tightening the bolts holding the wheels to the car. I was completely floored. It's one thing to disregard a customer's request for work on your vehicle as flippantly as to act like it's not a big deal when you've already been paid for the work. It's another thing to endanger the integrity of your client's vehicles mechanical components by DRIVING IT when there are loose or missing pieces, no oil in the engine, or you have failed to tighten the bolts on the wheels. Even from the shop to the lot. Without oil in the engine *the engine should never be turned on at all*. I'm not a specialist but I'd have to hit my head pretty hard to forget something that basic. I would warn anyone against these crooks/idiots/bullshitters, unless you're a twat who wants flames painted on the side of a vehicle with improperly fitted doors and gummed up catalytic converters and butterfly clips permanently stuck open. If anyone on this website is considering Corvette Specialties for service, please consider sending me a message on YELP first, because this review would be a whole lot worse for corvette specialties if I was willing to include what was said when I was NOT around. $12000 was paid to this shop, and they spent six months "rebuilding" the engine of the vehicle. After a later test drive wherein several mechanical/electronic components *failed to function properly* this business was refused additional payments, and that they could return the money and keep the car. *EDIT* It's been a couple of years, and I've been informed the car is still rusting on their lot. I assume they are not pursuing their client legally for further payment because the damage they did to that vehicle would be considered *larceny*. Not a good look for a specialist.

Great body shop! Just picked my '05 C6 Z51 that was…read moredamaged when a lady side swiped it in a parking lot and ripped off the front bumper. It was sent to another ICBC body shop and they totally screwed up the repair. Unable to properly mount the bumper and align all spacing. After complaints - it went to the dealer. Again - they couldn't get the bumper, light assembly, and front fender to align. Finally, after much complaining to ICBC - I had it sent to Corvette Specialties and they have totally restored the car to new. I had sent the car here for some minor work several years ago but had seen a couple of bad reviews so avoided it this time. MY MISTAKE - this is the only place I will EVER send my precious vette to from now on (hopefully I won't need to). Don't waste time anywhere else, including the dealer (if it is a body shop repair). I can't comment on any mechanical work as I didn't need it. This is purely a review of the body shop. Glenn was easy to work with and was honest/straight forward. Body shop manager (Keong?) knows corvettes inside out and is a perfectionist. Very pleased with my car now it looks absolutely mint!
