My wife asked me to make a Sunday evening drive to Mr. Lemon (I had never been), and although I had reservations about going to that part of the city we went and were treated to some pretty awesome lemonade. Mr. Lemon is a really small building with an amateur-looking sign but wow, their slush is great! We both got the Lime Ricky (lemon/lime combo) and what sets Mr. Lemon apart of Del's is the ultra-smoothness of the slush. I'm definitely a fan and would love to try their other flavors, and service was fast and friendly (cash only). I'd stay away after dark though, but maybe that's just me. During the summer months you will find many cars parked along side this seemingly residential street corner. With customers running over to stop by this little "shed-like" take-out window. At the window front you will see an ever changing selection of frozen flavors to choose from and wacky combos that tastes equally as good. The price is pretty cheap and reasonable for the large amount of sweet slush you get. It is a bit on the sugary side but is still undeniably good even if you don't have much of a sweet tooth. The owners/operators are extremely friendly, cheerful and take pride in what they serve up. Which is always refreshing to see. (Ha. See what I did there?) There aren't any lemon pieces in the lemon flavor (which is a plus for me). The owners are extremely personable and kind. They go out of their way to ask what you're up to that day and make conversation, even if they don't know you! Personally, where Del's might get Lemon perfect, Mr. Lemon gets every other flavor under the sun. My issue with Mr. Lemon is simply it's single location. Squished between Providence Collage and Chad Brown. It's become more n more popular through the years. The place it's self has character, with the huge dancing lemon mural on the house ( yes it's run out of a house. Out of a little window, they make the frozen lemonade there ) The flavors are interesting and tasty . Yuuuuuuum! My sister abandoned the state of Rhode Island the second she entered college. I think the only thing that brings her back is Mister Lemon. A sure fire way to get her to come down for a visit is a snarky text saying "guess what i just had!! Its delicious!!" "MISTER LEMON!?!?! Why would you do that to me?!" Anyway, super nice owners, cheaper prices that Dels, Great flavors, which you can have two in the same cup. And they due two flavors side by side, not one on top of the other so you can mix them in yr mouth. Only problem i find is they have no lids! I always want to buy copious amounts and deliver them to friends, or work. And to do so i have to compromise the immaculate cleanliness of my car. This is definitely the best frozen lemonade I have ever had. I always get a Tutti-Frutti, which is a random combination of three flavors. It never gets watery as it melts, there is so much flavor with every sip. It's true that you would never expect so much out of a small business, especially with big competition like Dells. But there is absolutely no comparison. Mr. Lemon puts Dells to shame a billion times over. If you're looking for a cool treat on a hot summer day, you HAVE to visit this place. This joint's ice is a lot too syrupy sweet for my taste and lacks the fresh fruit flavor I look for in my ice but on the up side, the texture is really good and the service is always friendly. I just moved to RI from HI last month and was able to finally try a Mr. Lemon! I loved it! I got the medium sized cup which was perfect for me. It cost $3.00 (cash only). I got the tutti frutti flavor (grape, vanilla, and watermelon mixed). I'll definitely come back again. Parking is tricky as you have to find street parking. I went on a Saturday around 12:30 PM and was able to find parking without a problem. As mentioned earlier they're cash only and they don't accept bills over $20.00. read more

Not really frozen lemonade, Mr. Lemon is beyond that. The consistency of their frozen delight is smooth and perfect every time. I don't know how they do it, but there's never a single chunk of ice...not even the smallest grain. They change their flavors every few weeks, but always have lemon, vanilla and watermelon. Depending on when you go, there could also be grape, cherry, orange, peach, lime, or root beer (peach and vanilla taste like pear...AMAZING!). The building is an amazing kitschy landmark and the owners are the friendliest, sweetest people alive. Even though there's no way they remember everybody from season to season, they make you feel like a member of the family. They're are never too busy (even with a giant line) to ask how you are and what your plans are. On top of all of this, the prices are so low they're practically giving it away. You can show up only with the change from the crack of your car seat and still get something (speaking from experience). Best frozen lemonade I've ever had in my entire life. Most of my life I have been about dels. That was until I tried mr lemon. Now I refuse to ever go back to dels. The pricing is perfect for each size - but I always get the biggest size. It is perfect for me and my boyfriend to share and be fulfilled. They come in styrofoam cups so they last a very long time even on a hot day. They change and rotate their flavors weekly. Each flavor is worth going back and trying every week, and I mean that when I say it. I have gone every week since last summer. A sad thing about them is they are unfortunately only serving in the summer. That's why you should enjoy them while they are there. They have been there for as long as I've known and have carried the business amazingly. They are friendly folks and love to chat. If you go often, they remember you like you are a regular. It's always fun to take pictures afterwards by their big lemon. They even share your photos occasionally to their Facebook page, where they update the flavors and notify their customers in case of a rainy day closing. They rarely close and are open to 8 in the summer. The place is in a convenient spot and the only negative thing I can think of about all of it (besides them not serving all year round) is the fact that you have to park on the street. Sometimes they are really popping and it's hard to find a spot. I've seen people get an Uber to mr lemon, so that should tell you how good it is. read more

This place is awesome.. Yeah I go to other lemonade places, but Mr. Lemon by far is the best. I have been coming here for years! It's always refreshing to come after school on a hot day, after one of my soccer games, or just in general. I always get lemon, but always wanted to try watermellon... Maybe next time I will! I am a huge fan of Mr. Lemon. I will admit that I go too often, but the staff members are so friendly- they know what I do for a living and always ask me how my day has been. Besides the kindness of the staff, I think Mr. Lemon has the best frozen lemonade in the state. I'm not sure how they make it (one time I asked and they didn't like that) but I think they blend in the flavoring to the ice in a more efficient way than Del's does. It's a finer crushed ice and the flavor is better disbursed. The Lemon and Watermelon flavors are consistently excellent but I also really enjoy their weekly "specials."
