My family and friends are frequent visitors of Mr. Jalapeno. We love the food and are grateful for the friendly staff! The menu has a wide selection of delicious entreés, literally something for everybody! The atmosphere is family-friendly, orders are fulfilled swiftly, and in the single time I ever needed a correction to an order, it was cheerfully and speedily provided! Prices are fair! Food is unbearable! Staff are like friends and neighbors! Thank you! Mr. Jalapeno "bats a thousand" in our book and we look forward to being lifelong regulars! read more

It's good to go to whether you have 2 people or 20. The foods always really good and hot and usually all comes out quickly and all together for everyone. If you get to go items it's always ready if you call it in ahead or even if you walk in to place the order it only takes a few minutes to prepare your food. Friendly staff and they remember you when you return. read more

With Bronco going down hill, this place has become our new spot. We get the cheese enchiladas with verde sauce meal and it's very good. We tried the beef version with red sauce and it wasn't even close in deliciousness. HAVE TO GO VERDE! It's very affordable, nice staff, plenty of parking. read more

Service is always great. Food always comes out super fast, fresh, and good! I've gone back a couple times now.

This is a nice place. Service was very good. COVID-19 response Masked were required to enter the building Staff wore masks 50% seating capacity. Lunch Fajitas with beef - lunch #7 Standard Mexican fajita. Nice portion for the price. Pollo Loco - lunch #30 First time I have ordered this. It was really good. I added jalapeños to the dish. It spiced it up beautifully. I would get this again. They also had a salsa bar. read more

I ordered Togo but would go back to dine in. The waiter was knowledgeable anbout the menu and gave suggestions I ordered the birria pizza (comes with 1 corn on the cob in a birria dipping sauce) Texas fajitas ( chicken shrimp and steak grilled with peppers and onions paired with tortillas) and chips and salsa (I ordered salsa verde it was so good but the mild salsa tasted more marinara sauce and no kick) I ordered and sat in the car to give the kitchen time to prepare my food. YALLLLL why the gentleman who took my order bought it out? I was anticipating on going back inside wasn't expecting car side service he packed the bag with plenty plastic wear and napkins. The food was mouth watering tender flavorful and fulfilling. Pricing quantity and quality are all worth it ! Great staff great food. read more

Best Mexican food so far in upstate. Staff is friendly and restaurant staff a very clean.

Out of towner met up with some old HS friends and they chose this place for lunch. We had the lunch fajitas. They weren't the sizzling fajitas but the price was good and the fajitas were tasty. I ordered the deluxe and had lettuce, guacamole and pico de gallo added to mine. It was worth the extra $1.50 (I think it was $1.50, can't remember the exact price but it was a fair price.). What I thought was really cool was the complimentary salsa bar they have. They have a plethora of condiments and everything I tried was all delicious. I would highly recommend this place if you like Mexican food. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The prices seemed pretty good in my opinion as well. read more

Have been here many times but tonight was bad. Food was bad. Tortillas for shrimp enchiladas were like rubber. Hopefully better next time.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and food very much! I would recommend this restaurant to others! The staff was very helpful and friendly! The food portions were very plentiful. read more

My fiance and I ate here a few days ago and LOVED it. Our server was fantastic, timely and enjoyable to talk and laugh with. My margarita came in an awsome skull glass with a light up ice cube! (I ended up buying the glass ) the food was great fresh, hot, and speedy. This is definitely our new go to restaurant! read more

Went at 5:00 pm. Chips were stale and food wasn't hot. Will not be going back to this restaurant

This place is such a hidden gem if your in the area I highly recommend you stop. The decor and atmosphere is fun. Staff is very friendly, service was fast and excellent. And of course most important the food is great read more

I wanted to love this place, I really did. Especially since there are so few restaurant options in Woodruff. I went twice, both on different days at different times. And the service is the biggest turn off. They don't explain anything (they have a salsa bar? no one told me!) No one smiles. I always feel rushed. When I say I need another minute to look at the menu, I don't mean exactly 30.9 seconds later. The food is typical Mexican fair, cheesy and saucy. Nothing that knocked my socks off. I'm sure I'll eat here again as it is in town, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

Do not understand how this place got such high reviews. The food was inedible and the service was inexcusably poor. The waitress, who didn't introduce herself (blond), was extremely rude when she bothered to appear, and we had to wave her over every time. She also insisted one of our meals wasn't supposed to come with salsa verde, so we checked the menu again and it says clearly "served with salsa verde"...went up to her to show her and she was so condescending and downright nasty. Her defense was "we never serve it with that," as if it was somehow our fault for assuming to menu was accurate. The cheese quesadilla, enchilada, and black bean burrito were all tasteless and disgustingly mushy. Literally just a plate of soggy tortillas and plain cheese with unseasoned beans. Took 2 bites. Would never go back or recommend to anyone. read more

Nice, bright, open and clean. Generous portions and quickly presented. We're very happy to have found this place. A nice touch to differentiate it for other Mexican restaurants are the hand painted chair backs. Our food was very mild on the heat scale, however, it was our first visit and may not be indicative. read more

Great food, their service is phenomenal, love their wait staff! Always look forward to eating there!

It was really nice and clean, easy parking, inside /outside seating, staff very friendly I went for lunch (to go) and had the Pollo fundido at $5.99 it came with chips and two salsas hot & mild I was quite pleased! my meal was very good! I would eat there again! read more

Well I rarely do this but I can't allow this to go without being said. I have eaten at Mr. Jalapeno many times. This time the food was delicious but the service was one of the worst I have come across. After working in a garden for hours I went as is. I felt like they were just trying to get us out of the building the fastest way possible. The waiter almost took the menu out of my husband's hand before he even finished his order. We wanted to order more than just the food but I couldn't even get out that I wanted a mixed drink let alone anything else. read more

Well we tried the place. As another reviewer said they rush you to order and that is true true! I got the combo, chili relleno, taco and burrito. The price was great the food, well it all tastes the same with a different jacket (if you get my drift). Nice atmosphere, decent food and filling. The salsa bar was cool but somewhat uneventful. I will give it another try but will stay away from the combo platter. Stay tuned another review coming soon. read more
