With Bronco going down hill, this place has become our new spot. We get the cheese enchiladas with verde sauce meal and it's very good. We tried the beef version with red sauce and it wasn't even close in deliciousness. HAVE TO GO VERDE! It's very affordable, nice staff, plenty of parking. read more

I ordered Togo but would go back to dine in. The waiter was knowledgeable anbout the menu and gave suggestions I ordered the birria pizza (comes with 1 corn on the cob in a birria dipping sauce) Texas fajitas ( chicken shrimp and steak grilled with peppers and onions paired with tortillas) and chips and salsa (I ordered salsa verde it was so good but the mild salsa tasted more marinara sauce and no kick) I ordered and sat in the car to give the kitchen time to prepare my food. YALLLLL why the gentleman who took my order bought it out? I was anticipating on going back inside wasn't expecting car side service he packed the bag with plenty plastic wear and napkins. Out of towner met up with some old HS friends and they chose this place for lunch. We had the lunch fajitas. They weren't the sizzling fajitas but the price was good and the fajitas were tasty. I ordered the deluxe and had lettuce, guacamole and pico de gallo added to mine. It was worth the extra $1.50 (I think it was $1.50, can't remember the exact price but it was a fair price.). What I thought was really cool was the complimentary salsa bar they have. They have a plethora of condiments and everything I tried was all delicious. My fiance and I ate here a few days ago and LOVED it. Our server was fantastic, timely and enjoyable to talk and laugh with. My margarita came in an awsome skull glass with a light up ice cube! I wanted to love this place, I really did. Especially since there are so few restaurant options in Woodruff. I went twice, both on different days at different times. And the service is the biggest turn off. They don't explain anything (they have a salsa bar? no one told me!) No one smiles. I always feel rushed. When I say I need another minute to look at the menu, I don't mean exactly 30.9 seconds later. The food is typical Mexican fair, cheesy and saucy. Nothing that knocked my socks off. I'm sure I'll eat here again as it is in town, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

Do not understand how this place got such high reviews. The food was inedible and the service was inexcusably poor. The waitress, who didn't introduce herself (blond), was extremely rude when she bothered to appear, and we had to wave her over every time. She also insisted one of our meals wasn't supposed to come with salsa verde, so we checked the menu again and it says clearly "served with salsa verde"...went up to her to show her and she was so condescending and downright nasty. Her defense was "we never serve it with that," as if it was somehow our fault for assuming to menu was accurate. The cheese quesadilla, enchilada, and black bean burrito were all tasteless and disgustingly mushy. Literally just a plate of soggy tortillas and plain cheese with unseasoned beans. Took 2 bites. Well I rarely do this but I can't allow this to go without being said. I have eaten at Mr. Jalapeno many times. This time the food was delicious but the service was one of the worst I have come across. After working in a garden for hours I went as is. I felt like they were just trying to get us out of the building the fastest way possible. The waiter almost took the menu out of my husband's hand before he even finished his order. We wanted to order more than just the food but I couldn't even get out that I wanted a mixed drink let alone anything else. read more

Well we tried the place. As another reviewer said they rush you to order and that is true true! I got the combo, chili relleno, taco and burrito. The price was great the food, well it all tastes the same with a different jacket (if you get my drift). Nice atmosphere, decent food and filling. The salsa bar was cool but somewhat uneventful.
