The horchata drink, which I so foolishly believed would be a heavenly elixir of delight, instead tasted like the murky remnants of flavored puddle water! My taste buds, once vibrant and eager, were left gasping for reprieve--NO, this is NOT good at ALL! It is a travesty to the culinary world that such a desolate concoction exists! 2. And as if that atrocious drink wasn't enough to shatter my spirits, the restaurant had the audacity to impose a credit card fee of $1.15 on every single customer! How infuriatingly unjust! This illegal practice in South Carolina sent me on a desperate quest to the ATM, fumbling for cash like a prisoner seeking freedom, just to escape this grotesque charge before they would begrudgingly revoke it! 3. But wait! The universe wasn't done tormenting me just yet! The manager, a veritable tyrant cloaked in rudeness, stood as the final nail in the coffin of my joyous evening. And one of the employees--oh my soul, I can't even begin to describe the offense! With a physique that resembled a poorly built tank, all back and no grace, had the sheer audacity to mock me for being "broke," as if her existence was some pinnacle of achievement! Little did she know, I glide through life in a $70k car while she scrapes by on a pitiful $3/hour plus tips! The irony is almost laughable if it weren't so tragically sad! I am left in utter disbelief, engulfed by a whirlwind of emotions--a storm of indignation--over this most dreadful encounter! This has been an absolutely devastating restaurant experience, one that has shattered all my expectations. We were there last week and we had Adrian and he kept disappearing. We needed our water, chips, salsa refilled. Took almost an hour to get 2 beef tacos, 2 beef, cheese enchiladas. Even after the bad service we still left him $10 Tonight we had Adrian, again. We arrived 6:14 and we did not get our 2 beef tacos, 1 enchilada, 1 chorizo with eggs until 7:29. He kept disappearing, could never get any refills, finally had to ask another server about our server and they laughed at us. Shortly after as we asked were he was at he bought us our food. We just boxed it up for we were tried of waiting . Even the table behind us was there before us and had to go and find him for they still had not received their food. I am blown away that the lobby to this place was full and willing to wait 30 minutes for terrible food and drinks. This place was horrible from the second we walked in. Chips were stale and salsa was basically Mexican catsup. We were later informed of the "salsa bar" and it wasn't very clean so we skipped it. A Margarita can make or break a restaurant. This "margarita" broke it. As a former bartender I am saddened that I was unable to identify the ingredients in this concoction. It was neon green for starters and tasted like crystal light. Then came the food. I'm pretty sure it was reheated from a previous day. Dry! 100% will never step foot in this place again. There must be something in the water in this town that kills tastes buds. Food was ok. waited for about 3 mins to be sat . Man came and snapped hes not a hostess but he would sit me. That was awkward that I had to thank him since he works there?? Received a food splattered dirty menu. Window and window sill were filthy. Napkins and chips under my table. This was 150 so maybe it was right after lunch and they didn't clean up. Waiter came to table after I sat there for about 6 mins waiting to order. I asked questions about the menu he didn't seem to know any of the replies. No signs at the salsa bar to wear a mask or gloves or anything. That was alarming. No mask signs on door... Half the stalls in the womens room not working. Bathroom dirty. No hand soap. Food was pretty good so theres that. waiter never checked on me so when I was done I sat there for about 10 mins gave up went to the hostess stand to pay. she seemed bored and never smiled or said thanks. No one seemed very happy to be working there. Total time from walking in the door to paying was an hr which seems like a Looo0nG Time to get a burrito and a Coke and be able to pay and go, suggestion that they really clean this place. Update the place after. Post signs to protect people at the salsa bar and ask the staff to check in check back, clear down to the glass and drop of a check as soon as you clear plates. My second time coming to this restaurant. Beside going to El Michoacán on the other side of town. We've had excellent service both times. Beverages and food came in a timely manner, about 10 minutes. Refilled chips and drinks when needed. Friendly staff, a lady from the staff came to another table and shut down a fight that was about to happen in a professional matter. My niece had a birthday dinner here tonight. The food was okay and the service was passable. Nothing was exceptional at this location. It really wasn't even very good, but it wasn't horrible either. The server wanted everyone to yell their order around the table, instead of walking around and actually taking people's orders. That seemed kind of ghetto, and somewhat lazy to me. I also saw a fly buzzing, so am a little concerned. I hope I don't get sick. We LOVE this place! We no longer live in the area, but every time we come to town we make sure we come to Bronco! I have yet to find any Mexican food this good. The Tex Mex nachos are delicious! I am a sucker for tender meat and veggies and they have yet to disappoint me. As soon as you sit at your table, they bring out fresh chips and salsa. The salsa is perfect- just the right amount of spice! Also, this is the first Mexican restaurant I have visited where the margaritas did not give me a pounding headache. So we finally stop a waiter to explain to them what's going they acting as if they don't and said they would fix it for us, they left and never came back. I would say this is a little below average for your typical Mexican restaurant. The salsa was bland, watery, and not at all spicy. I got a jumbo Margarita, which was actually well made and quite strong. My fiancé got a fajita taco salad and I had the standard ACP. Both entrees were tasty, but swimming in grease, either from the chicken or the cheese sauce. I could see how we may have caught them on a bad night. OK I have been a loyal customer to Bronco's for 13 years. I frequently brag about the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff to several out of towners. However, after last night, I WILL not be recommending anymore, nor dining in here. I was there for a friend's birthday party that was scheduled weeks in advance. There was not nearly enough staff to cover the nearly 40 in attendance. Many had to wait over an hour to be served, and a couple of people got tired of waiting and left. My drink was only filled once after I got into an altercation between myself and one of the servers. She asked was everything ok and I said no because my drink had not been filled and certain ones at my table had not been served. She then proceeded to catch an attitude with me, very unacceptable. The manager then spoke to my friend's wife (who set the party up) and defended this rude behavior. Who does that in a restaurant? That young lady should have been reprimanded or fired! I've heard several people have had similar experiences, especially at their current location. To those reading this: if you're planning a party in Gaffney, go to Daddy Joe's or Aegean. I plan on speaking to the owners soon because enough is enough. No human being should be treated the way myself and others were last night!!! read more
