Food here is really good. We sat at an off area so it was a little cold and dreary. I do like that they have a salsa station. Prices are decent for what it is. I love their bean dip. Service was good. They do get busy so you have come come here early for lunch or dinner. read more

Just some really good food and priced well. Highly recommended, I still favor the original location.

Absolute favorite place to go! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the food is consistently excellent--no matter what you order. I especially love their salsa bar, which has a fantastic selection ranging from mild to spicy--you can take as much as you want. My personal favorite is the Al Pastor street tacos, while my spouse usually goes for the Quesabirria. It's always busy, but we've never had to wait long for a table. Highly recommend! read more

Casa Carrion - Street Tacos (Al pastor & pollo asado) - Mexican Near Me - Lyman, South Carolina

This is a true authentic Mexican restaurant! The ambiance depicts it and the homemade quality of their food is unbelievable! We drove past this and made a mental note to come back to try and were not disappointed! We met one of the owners (Maria) as she stopped by our table and told us a little about the place. Our server Jose was very accommodating and pleasant! You HAVE to come! I promise you will be hooked on the food! They have a few other locations as well. read more

Fresh food. Staff and Owners are wonderful people. Make you feel at home. Very good prices.

I have been here a few times. All the food is top notch and the servers are great. I think you would enjoy it if you stopped in.

I love Mexican food and I expected this to be just another SC Mexican Restaurant, which would have been fine, but this place exceeded my expectations. The location is pretty unassuming - a small restaurant at the end of a strip mall in Lyman, but the line outside tells you something right is happening inside. I don't know what to say, except that everything was just a little bit better than everywhere else. I had the steak burrito at the recommendation of the server, and I had NO REGRETS. I also got to taste the fajitas, which were also delicious. My only complaint would be the wait, but that's to be expected if the food is as good as it was. read more

The best Mexican food in upstate SC. I go at least 1-2 times a month. Service is good. Atmosphere is good, tables a little crowded but all seem happy. Always busy. read more

Each dish we have tried here has been delicious! The service has been great and this is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area!

Great food, prompt friendly service keep up the good work. At least four restaurants have tried that location in the last 30years and haven't had what it takes for that location. Here is hoping you have what it takes read more

Although the exterior looks old and worn out the food was amazing. The waiter took our orders without pen and paper and remembered all the additions, substitutions and substitutions. Everyone's meal was freshly prepared to order and we enjoyed each bite. It was a 35 minute ride to get there but worth it. Will definitely have to go again. We went at lunchtime and it seemed half the Lyman PD was there for lunch so it must be good. read more

This is not your average Mexican restaurant. Definitely not the biggest dining room in the world, but in this case quaint is good. With such an impressive following this restaurant has, we did not mind pulling up a couple chairs to the lively and comfortable bar. I am not much of a margarita drinker, but after drinking the recommended margarita from the bartender, I would definitely drink another one here. Large groups are not easy for them to handle, but they do step outside the box to make the necessary seating arrangements. It's always refreshing to dine in a family-owned restaurant that takes pride in everything they do, including offering an impressively clean establishment. You can trust in the fact that even the menus are cleaned after every use. With a salsa bar in the back, there is no shortage of salsa, they simply ask that you take what you can eat to reduce waste and keep it free. I always get a little indecisive with such a vast menu but managed to find something I haven't tried before. I found it absolutely delicious and definitely house made. Cheers! read more

Casa carrion is very good. I lived in Arizona for decades, only 1 mile from the border. I miss the great places that I always went for good Mexican food. I was happy to find this Restaurant as the food and atmosphere remind me of home and I always look forward to going there for lunch. read more

Great food that's authentic and well done. I will return here. The food is Mexican and there many hispanic customers. I did takeout so cannot speak to dining in, but they were like a beehive of activity and seemed to be keeping everyone happy. read more

Delicious food & great ambience. Also, Good service & great prices. Definitely coming back here

This has been my favorite spot! I heard through the grapevine that my favorite waiter of all time anywhere had gone from the place I knew and was now part OWNER of Casa Carrion. The first thing I ordered was my old standard Super Molcajate! I had my mind blown by the flavor and freshness of the sides! I was instantly hooked! The service was impeccable. I've never had such a great experience at a restaurant EVER! I wish i could frequent this place more, but the word is out! This is the best. The parking lot stays full, and there are always people waiting to get a table. When I am hungry, I don't like to wait, so it's special when i do have the patience to wait! It's the extra time, whatever your order, the food and service are excellent! read more

This is one of my kids' favorite restaurants. To me, there isn't anything particularly special about it for a Mexican restaurant. The service is usually pretty good. It is a pretty popular restaurant, so sometimes it may take a little longer to get your food, but it is usually right and no issues with it. The parking situation isn't the best. Sometimes, you have to just get lucky to get a spot. Overall I like the place. read more
