This place doesn't even deserve one star. I came with my family which included 2 toddlers. I asked for a booth and the hostess tried to sit us in the back at high tops! I told her we won't be able to sit here because the kids will literally fall over the chairs and she got an attitude and sat us at a booth and stormed off. We ordered our food and my husband ordered a steak burrito. They gave him a chicken burrito. We waited for our server and she never came back after almost 10 mins. We told her and she just said "sorry" and walked off. My husband went to the bathroom and she came to the table and took his plate without asking. I was distracted feeding my child til I realized his plate was gone. I asked her where his food went and she said she took it. She was like oh well sorry. My food was burnt and disgusting. I will not be back. Horrible service and food. Another turn off is the menu said only one basket of chips per table! Crazy especially since we ordered cheese dip. read more

There are several Mexican restaurants in our vacinity but this is our favorite. They have a dish called Fahita Grande Salad and I get it with chicken. No one else that I know of has it and it's delicious. My husband tries other dishes but for me it is the reason we come here! read more

Usually live coming to this place. Really like their aquas Fresca in pineapple, but this time they were rather rude. I usually get it in a bigger cup. Don't mind paying the price when you feel you are getting what you pay for. This time they served it in a regular Coke glass and of course no refills. No cool. Our waiter and the guy at the front door were just super rude. Not accommodating at all to their customers. Absolutely terrible service today. This place was packed! We were seated right away. The chips come with a refried bean side, and then there is a salsa bar you can get and try different salsas and spice levels. That was really neat! I would say having the salsas labeled would be helpful to understand what they are, and how spicy each one is. Our waitress was very kind. My husband and I ordered the chicken fajitas, our son had the jalapeño bacon fajitas, and our daughter ordered the Caesar Salad. She doesn't eat cheese, and it was beyond difficult to find something for her to eat. We thought the Caesar salad would be a win, but come to find out, it is not a traditional Caesar Salad. When it came out, we were shocked. Looking at the menu after, there was a description stating the ingredients but none of us would have ever imagined a Mexican restaurant keeping that name for the ingredients it had. We were able to switch it, but it would probably be best for the server to confirm the person knows it isn't traditional as a backup because I doubt we're the only ones this had happened to. The food was great. They only gave three small flour wraps for the fajitas which wasn't enough, and we were charged for more. It wasn't a big deal, but that was a first for me. The fajitas also don't come with cheese on the side and had to be asked for. Our daughter ended up getting a side of rice and beef, and she loved it. She devoured that rice lol. The beef serving was also generous. Overall, good experience. The parking lot's spaces are terrible and very small. It was scary parking that close to other cars all crammed. If you have the ability to space your car out, I would do so. read more

Paid $18 for 2 tacos for me and 2 for my wife. Crazy! So stingy on the serving size and it was dry. Staff is not busy - almost nobody in the restaurant - but zero service. Too bad. We've been missing really good Mexican food for awhile and had heard good reviews for Guacamole and decided to give it a try. My husband called in our order and went and picked it up and brought it home. I ordered flautas for us to enjoy more as an appetizer and carnitas tacos for myself. My husband ordered a burrito and the meal came with chips, queso, and salsa. Everywhere I've ever ordered flautas, and when I've followed recipes at home, all call for them to be fried and crispy. These were the saddest excuse for flautas I've ever seen. Limp, soggy, and definitely not fried. The meat had an undercooked texture and was horribly seasoned. The carnitas tacos were a little better and seemed to be cooked through. Still the flavor wasn't there. The refried beans with everything had a slightly green color to them and were not appetizing. Rice was fine. The queso also lacked flavor and had no spice. It was just a plain cheese sauce. The salsas were better with a kick to them. The menu photos must be stock internet photos because the food definitely didn't look like what was ordered. We will not be back. read more

Seafood fajitas (del mar): 1/5. Tilapia had a weird taste & seafood overall was not flavorful & pretty bland. We have eaten at Guacamole in Greer, Wade Hampton Blvd at least 5 times and it has always been delicious! They do get busy at the typical lunch or dinner time so try to go at the shoulder times like 11am-12pm or 4:30-5:30, or after 7:30pm. They have a nice Salsa bar as well. read more

I can not say one negative word about this amazing Mexican Restaurant. The bartenders make an amazing Margarita on the rocks , which is a must with Mexican. The Texas Burrito was more than I could eat and my friend had the Bacon jalapeño, wrapped shrimp over a bed of rice with a salad . It was perfect. I will definitely be back. Food is decent. We do like the bean dip. We don't like that the actual prices of the food are not posted on the menu (they don't want to get new menus, so you basically have to guess the new higher price of their food.) Service last time was horrific. We asked for more bean dip twice... no luck. We asked for refills on our water and Coke 3 TIMES in about a half hour. She never brought refills. How many times should we have asked? Not my favorite place by any means, but they do have a good steak burrito per my husband. read more

A nice place for Mexican. Seeing that the place is California Mexican, I went with the California tacos. You get one chicken, one steak, and one pork. The flavor and seasoning for all three was delicious. I was a bit surprised how well I enjoyed each. What surprised me also was my enjoyment of the pinto beans. I am not a fan of beans, but they add pico de gala to beans, which adds a nice contrast. I also really enjoyed the spicy bean dip for the nachos. read more

I had driven down Wade Hampton several times and was impressed with the bright vibrant outside colors of Guacamole and decided to give it a try for lunch. Inside the restaurant was brightly painted and adorned(my wife really liked the interior). The lunch menu was rather large with options and very modestly priced. I have now eaten there three times for lunch. Each time the food and service has been good. I recommend this restaurant. read more

Upon arrival you were greeted with fresh chips and a very tasty bean dip. $3-32 ounce beverages from 4 to 7 that are ice cold. read more
