Wa craving authentic Mexican food and found this place. iPhone Apple Maps has the restaurant on the wrong side of the street (a hot dog stand). Parking is in back. Restaurant is a converted house with nice outdoor seating. Shredded chicken enchiladas was only $12! Fresh corn tortillas and quality ingredients. My only critic was I chose a spicy red sauce and it wasn't very spicy. Server was friendly and my meal was ready fast. Solid spot for a good meal at a reasonable price!

Our first two trips here were great. I LOVE their chips, salsa, bean dip, and enchiladas! And from here on out, if we go back, I will only order the enchiladas. Their fajita (anything) is clunky. The peppers and onions aren't cut consistently and are very clunky. My husband had fajita quesadilla. I had fajita nachos. I wouldn't recommend either if you don't want giant unevenly cut chunks of peppers and onions. If you do, go for it!! Their al pastor, Birria, and Tinga chicken are all pretty good. Bean dip is great. If you don't like sour cream/crema ask for it on the side. I asked for crema on the side on my nachos though and still got it squirted all over the top of my nachos. (Kind of ruins my meal when this happens because I don't care for sour cream. If it's a dollop, easy to scrape off. If it's squirted on top of the whole plate, I end up losing my top layer of food.) Their enchiladas, rice, and beans are all really great. Also loved their margarita with hibiscus. I don't care for the tajin rim personally but my husband enjoys it. We went the day after their cinco de mayo party, wouldn't do that again. We felt like the margaritas we got that day were possibly leftovers from the day before and our food was a bit disappointing. I would go back. Because I love their chips and salsa (and bean dip and queso) and enchiladas. I would not get fajita anything and would make sure they hear no crema from now on. Everyone has always been kind and helpful. Their food is just a bit inconsistent for me.

Came for a late lunch/early dinner. Absolutely delicious. Food was fresh. Margarita was full of flavor. Will definitely come back when we are in town again.

Food and service is amazing! Especially coming from someone who refused to eat Mexican food outside of California. It's amazing!

They tasted the same, both had dried dry tasteless ground beef and nothing else . I had to ask for hot sauce. I had the Le major and couldn't eat it ! Worst Mexican food I have had ever had -Service was lackluster - I barely got the menu and she a wanted to know if I wanted to order, no alcohol . Didn't even offer water . No condiments on the table to try to add flavor to the food. The waitress Never came back after ordering my beverage to see if I wanted cheese or salsa or hot sauce . Mary's grill on 183, California grill on Hwy 130 and Taco Riendo in Six mile are ten times better than pancho's in central . The meal was a feeble attempt at a Mexican restaurant, which won't be there long because of the "I don't give a damn attitude from kitchen to wait staff" for a few hours before. No one ever asked me if the food was alright . So yourself a favor and buy old El Paso taco mix because it's 19 x's better than Panchos in central !

Wood booths with the El Jimador logo decorate each booth. The staff is attentive with numerous check-ins during the meal. Frequent water refills, extra salsa and chips and all around customer care make this dining experience a pleasant one. As for the food, the fajitas come in numerous combinations that include old favorites like steak and chicken, but also include creative combos like steak/chicken/bacon, which is one of my favorites. The fajitas, which I have had several times are excellent and flavorful. Fajitas are my favorite section of the menu. The other parts of the menu are less consistent. The tacos are good but inconsistent and lack flavor. Everything feels authentic and tasty. Overall I really like this restaurant.

It was very busy, so the extremely slow service was somewhat understandable. What wasn't understandable, was 30 mins after ordering entrees, the server came over to ask my daughter's BF if he had ordered the $80 tomahawk steak. He looked shocked and said no, he ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas. Shortly after, he brought my daughter's and my entrées. We waited for quite some time for her BF's entrée to arrive. 20 to 25 minutes later he brought out steak fajitas minus the shrimp. At that point we had basically finished our entrées. We pointed out to the server that the shrimp was missing from his entrée and he disappeared. We had asked for the bill because it was already getting very late and we had other plans. He brought our bill over with no adjustment at all. I commented that they should have done something based on the fact that not only was the meal completely disappointing, but they brought him the wrong entrée. He then brought the manager over who made a lame apology saying they were very busy and I explained that it had nothing to do with the busyness, but that the server had a limited understanding of English, and had placed the wrong order. He then gave us $5 off the bill. FIVE DOLLARS??? That's not even a drink. Don't bother with this restaurant when there are so many other better Mexican options to choose from. Shame on you taking advantage of the college crowd and their families.

We will definitely be coming back. Oh, we got there at 5 and were the second table occupied in the place. By 5:30 the place was full. So, on a Friday night be aware that the place is popular.
