Food it's great. Many items in the menu to try. It's close to where we live. So far we haven't had a bad meal yet. They have a salsa bar but never tell customers about it. It's near the front door behind the hostess stand. read more

I want this place to be good so bad. It disappoints so often! I came in to order take out nachos. Host sent me to a takeout counter. Waited 10' before someone walked over to take my order. I've now been waiting over 30' for an order of nachos. The restaurant isn't packed, it's half empty. read more

We had food delivered so I can't vouch for the interior of the restaurant. Special dinner seems like a lot of food, mostly tortillas and lettuce though. Very mild and sweet flavors. Ground beef filling is decent texturally, the chicken a bit dry and lacking flavor. There just wasn't much meat filling. Queso with jalapeño is very mild and a bit thin. Enchiladas Rancheros were also mostly tortillas. They skimped on the bean, cheese and beef enchiladas. There was plenty of dry chicken though. Food was hot and fresh but we will probably not order from Mr Jalapeño again. read more

We are new here, coming from 60 yrs in California, so you could imagine me being a little skeptical on finding comparable Mexican food here in the South. keeping in mind that there are many different regions of Mexico and Central America and the food is prepared a little different in these areas, add to that the "American influence" you will find in the large chain restaurants, people's favorites can be quite subjective. We have only eaten here a couple times so far and I'll say they do a good job. I ordered the "Enchiladas Verdes" (chicken enchiladas with Verde salsa) Was it my favorite Verde salsa? No....Was it good? Yes. Overall the food was good and a large selection of menu items. Staff were very nice and accommodating, the service was very good. They do get busy at times and that can be challenging .....We look forward to going back and exploring more items on the menu. read more

Very good! I ordered the chicken asada tacos but received steak instead, and it was tender and delicious...so no complaints. Along with the refried beans and extra order of their delicious guacamole, it made for a relaxing lunch on the patio. Hub ordered the California burrito and very much enjoyed it. Chips were fresh and served with mild and spicy salsa. Esme was our server and she was kind and efficient, offering to-go drinks and a smile. read more

Gabi, was amazing!!!! She recommended great food choices such as "tres amigos and the street tacos" great choices!!!! highly recommend !!! read more

My grandparents come here for dinner every Friday, and it never disappoints! Tonight I joined them and ordered the chips and queso, and the Pollo Fundido. The queso was delicious and fresh, with equally delicious, crunchy tortilla chips. The entree was also delicious, very cheesy and very cozy tasting. Highly recommend with a side of sour cream! The service was excellent, we were greeted and smiles and served efficiently throughout the meal. Can't wait to come back!!! read more

The staff is friendly, you get free chips and salsa, very efficient. Only thing that really turned me off was I had to use the restroom before eating and the smell in the restroom was awful! Smelled like they used the same mop to mop the kitchen. Smelled like old rotten wet mop and bad seafood. The chimichangas were on the small side, but was tasty. Due to the sanitary reasons, I probably won't come back. read more

This is one of my most favorite restaurants. Their taste is always consistent and the quality of the food is amazing, it always tastes fresh. The servers are always so polite and I have never waited long to be seated. My most recent trip my server Esme L was so attentive and polite, 10/10 definitely would recommend. read more

WATCH YOUR BILL! My wife and I recently visited Mr. Jalapeno Mexican restaurant in Simpsonville SC and were extremely disappointed with our experience. The food itself was average in terms of taste and quality. However, worse than that were the unethical practices they attempted on two items while we dined there - up charging our food without any indication on the menu that there was an additional charge for grilled chicken instead of shredded chicken. Then having the manager tell us to pay and not come back when we questioned them about it. You should ALWAYS be transparent about what your customer is going to pay. If you are not and someone calls you on it, it makes you look like you are trying to get over on people. But a decent restaurant that understands people should have a simple system that is explainable on the menu, and easily implemented. Like: "Substitutions add $2" or something similar. It's the principle of the matter... read more

Absolutely the worst experience of my life! No food options, disgusting nachos, and slow service. If you're also planning to go here for a birthday, think again!! They don't take personal space into consideration, and shoved whipped cream all over my face and in my hair against my will. They weren't apologetic and all, and stood there laughing at me. The worst restaurant in simpsonville and I hope their business plummets. read more

Food is always good and great customer service! I have never had a bad experience with the restaurant!

We love this little spot ! Good people, great food and generous portions ! Tried their Tamale today and it was among the tastiest I've ever eaten and I've made and eaten a bunch during my long life ! No regrets here , well be back ... read more

Staff is always fast and responsive and very polite. Me and my family love coming here, I always get the steak and shrimp with rice and it's delicious everytime. I can say the margaritas and mixed drinks aren't the best but I go for the food so in my opinion that doesn't matter. The restaurant is decorated beautifully with hand painted tables that are bright and colorful and make it fun no matter where you're seated. read more

Delicious food along with awesome customer service! Definitely one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. read more

This spot makes me extremely upset. First of all, the image. Please do not stop reading this because I am speaking about this image. It is sexualizing women and extremely inappropriate to have in a restaurant. As a woman, it made me very angry. Second, the staff clearly didn't have much of an idea of what they are doing. They could barely understand what we were saying and stood there looking like deer in headlights. Lastly, the food wasn't that great. The salsa had no taste, the chips were bland, and the food was overall just bad (everyone in our group agreed.) I feel bad bashing on this restaurant, but it was a bad experience. read more

Awesome Restaurant! The Flavor is great, fresh ingredients; the chicken Hawaiian has a really good sauce and the combination with the rice made it delicious! My very picky eater son loved their tacos and ate the enchilada... they have great options, and the dessert was really good! Highly recommend it for your Mexican food! - after three years being here we finally found a gem in town! read more

Tasty salsa. Lunch fajitas were good. Staff was prompt with drinks and food. Nice airy atmosphere.

Food is quickly prepared and hot. Lots of Mexican dishes to choose from. Service is friendly and usually seated fast not much of a wait. The decor is colorful and really makes the establishment pop with a Mexican flare. read more

I had high hopes for this place because I'm a huge fan of Mexican food and I'm 100% here to support a new business in the Simpsonville area. Everyone was super nice and attentive there BUT the quality of the food was a little questionable. My dad got the steak fajitas and ended up with 90% vegetables and 10% meat to the point where there was barely enough steak to fill 2 tortillas. Mine (pictured below) was good but it definitely isn't anything special or different than other mexican restaurants in Simpsonville. read more
