Mr Guzman was very quick to respond when I called requesting assistance. We were able to schedule an appointment for the next morning. He arrived on time and quickly got to work. The pricing was very reasonable and best of all the work got done fast and efficiently. Would use their services again. read more

My washer machine was sounding like it had a demon inside trying to get out. Every time it was on spinning cycle it was bad. One of my friends went and check it out for me but couldn't find the issue. I didn't know of anyone else to trust and be honest to diagnose it. I looked up for appliance repairs and Mr. Guzman popped up. Reading upon their reviews had me double thinking but I risked it. Elias answered my called and he was able to come the same day. He came at 6:30pm. I was amazed that he was able to come that late. He was the most honest man. He right away knew what was wrong with it. He showed me the parts it needed and how much were they. He ordered the parts and told me he'll be ready to come fix it the next day. Due to my work schedule I was only available at 7pm. He didn't mind it. He charged me to go check it out and that went towards the whole fee. The next day he showed up on time and was able to fix it in 30-40 mins. I really appreciated him coming late. I tipped him a little extra for making the time to come late. Always appreciate people's time! read more

This is my fourth time using their services. Each time reaffirms my original rating of 5 stars. I called them this morning around 10am to see when they could come take a look at my dryer that was on the fritz. They said they could be here between 1pm and 3pm. Mr. Guzman was here at 1:30pm. It's now 2:30 pm as I write this review. He was done repairing the dryer in 45 minutes and its now running like new. Mr. Guzman is friendly, punctual, quick and has very reasonable rates. I highly recomend his services. read more

My Kenmore Elite washing machine was not rinsing. I had to take my clothes out and hand-rinse them while my dirty water was left in the machine. I called another appliance repair shop. They sent a person the same day, but unfortunately the person did not know how to fix it. The next day, my friend recommended Mr. Guzman Appliances. They came right away and less than 30 min. fixed my machine! It was affordable and I am pleased with their job. read more

(Shopped 09/21/20 MO @ 1:30pm and many times before and certainly after): This mister had the goods on cheaply-priced refurbished appliances! My family and I have been doing business with Mr. Guzman Appliances (Jorge & Elias) for the past several years after our previous appliance vendor moved away and started his own business in a more affordable part of California. Since then, this business has been a Godsend for the rental properties whenever we needed anything from a replacement appliance to repairs. Were there any reasons to find another rental property appliance vendor!?: PURCHASE Refurbished Frigidaire Stainless Steel Oven/Stove Combo ($350.00): Personally, I wasn't a fan of stainless steel appliances but tenants seemed to like them which allowed me to pad the rent rate so a win-win situation. On average a $1,000+ appliance brand new, this was a heck of a deal that was cleaned, tested, and came with a 90-day guarantee - nice price! Refurbished Frigidaire Refrigerator/Freezer Combo ($220.00): A basic white top freezer model (they didn't have any stainless steel models in stock) that was also cleaned, tested, and also came with their standard 90-day guarantee. On average a $600+ appliance brand new, this wasn't as much of a deal but still a good buy nonetheless https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=f5yPrxSPRbqmOXFwe9kIyg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! SERVICE Normally, I or my maintenance man called them with an order, explained what appliance(s) we needed, the approximate specs, and any other details. Within 24-48 hours, they delivered and set-up the replacement appliance(s), and removed the existing one(s) if any. Set-up usually took no more than 30 minutes max, so they were very efficient. On this particular day during these COVID-19 times, I decided to check out their shop for the first time as I made a couple payments and placed another order. Masks were worn which was all I could ask for these days https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=AR9vCho7x18k_qYIQOCCmQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. All was easy-peasy. PARKING (FREE) They had a tiny lot in the back accessed through an alley. Otherwise, there was plenty of timed parking along the main drag of Firestone Blvd. and nearby side streets (make sure to read all posted street signs for details) - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A no-nonsense security-gated medium-sized storefront that was basically a showroom stocked with various appliances https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=wEoCWQaTrrVzLUgcQcuj1w&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw while the repair shop was in the back. The walls were bare while the floor was laid with old linoleum squares. Plenty of natural lighting came through the large front glass wall windows and door while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights covered the rest. Although there were no TVs, music played in the background https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=93SUNnDCbzTEo5RyfJt4Tw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Mr. Guzman Appliances has been great for my family's rental property business and saw no need to find another unless they decided to move away, too! The products, prices, and service have been wonderful, they've also done some repairs for us again at a very good rate. The only downsides would be that their storefront was far from any of the properties and their inventory changed daily so you weren't guaranteed what you were trying to get. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $570.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, unaware whether or not they accepted credit cards (especially mine of choice... AMEX), I always paid with a check but will ask next time! 4.0 STARS read more

Made an appointment on Monday for Saturday at 2pm. Called him Saturday at 12 noon to see if he would still come to my home today to fix my washing machine. He said he would. As stated earlier the appointment was at 2pm and right now as I write this is 4:45pm. I saw the great reviews and did see some concerning his punctuality but stupidly ignored them. I had options to have others come to the house and now I need to call those other places and ask them to come down as soon as they can. Another thing is that Mr Guzman really doesn't speak any English so you may find yourself unable to communicate with him. I luckily speak Spanish. I really cannot recommend this person for any appliance repair since you'll likely end up like me, wasting your time. read more

Very unprofessional. I called because my stove display stopped working. He didn't show when he said he would. I had to keep calling to see if he was going to come, and he kept pushing the time out. When he did show, I was at work because it was not the agreed time, but I had someone let him in. He was there less than 5 min and said, "Your display is not working." I KNEW THAT! That's why I called! I called him back, and he said he had to go get the model number. I called again a few days after that to get a price, and he said he would find out and call me back. It has been two weeks and I haven't heard from him. I would listen to all the reviews that say he does not keep appointments. They are correct. read more

Mr. Guzman fixed my mother-in-law's Frigidaire dryer today- did a great job. During my face to face communication with Mr. G, I found him to be genuinely honest and an expert in his field. It is my belief that Mr G could of chosen to tell me, to replace my dryer motor, which would have realize more money for him. Instead, Mr. G did the opposite - did couple magic tweaks... to the motor and the dryer started right up . My cost was not even near a $100. At some point in the future, per Mr G, I have the option to rebuild the motor. That option was also very affordable. Thanks again Mr. Guzman ! read more

This is in regards to a call to come check out my refrigerator. We called two days prior and made an appointment. They told me they would come Saturday between 11 and 3. That is already a very generous window, but we understand that it can be tricky to time things. 3 pm came around and no one had showed up. I called and the gentlemen told me it would be around 45 minutes more because he was waiting for the technician. They finally arrived at 4:30. We never received a call at any point that they were running late. I am pretty understanding and flexible, but I do expect consideration with at least a phone call. When they arrived, they were quick and efficient, friendly, and gave a very fair price. This definitely would have been a 5 star review if they had communicated about them arriving late! read more

Moved on December 2018 and my new place does not have the facilities for the electric dryer. I called Mr. Guzman and he found me a gas one matching the watcher for a very cheap price (perks of being an old client). He came all the way from South Gate to Ontario --with no extra charge- to deliver and install it himself. Another great appliance that still working like the first day two years after. Just in case you are wondering, all the other appliances I bought from him are still working good three years later. So, buy with confidence that you'll be doing a good investment. read more

Fridge repair on 7.28.16 Appointment was made for 6pm but he didn't arrive until 7:15. He told me he was very busy which was fine since I didn't have anything to do. Although It would've been nice to get dinner since I rushed out of work to get there by 6 and I didn't want to leave my place incase he came. Overall the work was very quick and great.
