the front of the restaurant

Mr. G's Pizza is a casual restaurant and bar with a takeout counter with open kitchen, dine-in seating section and a bar section on the other side of the partition, all in the same dim lit room. One of my local buddies used to come here for the booze with plenty of beer and the good looking female staff. The place has a younger staff, guys and gals who run the kitchen and the front of the house. The clientele I saw here were late 20 to 40 somethings, like my buddy. The menu offers pizza, calzones, pasta, subs, burgers, dinner plates, kids menu, and appetizers. The prices are fair. I stopped in here for some takeout on a Saturday night and ordered a small sausage pizza and a haddock sub special with chips. I watched the Red Sox on the TV while I waited for the food, which was ready in 15 minutes. I did run back in when I noticed the chips were not with the order. The pizza was alright, which had a thick edge dry crust topped with sliced sausage and modest amount of cheese, a bit greasy from the sausage. The haddock sub tasted fine, which had two pieces of deep fried breaded fish with lettuce, tomatoes, and tartar sauce on a firm sub roll. The bagged chips were Block & Barrel (Sysco). If you're looking for a convenient place to chill and have some drinks and apps before heading into Nashua or Manch with good looking staff, then Mr. G's is your place. The other pizza place nearby has better pizza, but does not have this kind of laid back bar atmosphere. HOURS: Mon-Thurs, Sat: 11AM-9PM; Fri: 11AM-10PM; Sun: Closed DELIVERY ($2): Evenings and all day Saturday

My phone call
D.C. C.

Unfortunately, I can not review any of the food selections because I never got to order. I called Mr. G's four times at 645 PM on a Monday night. The first three times, I heard someone pick-up, then some banging and fumbling of the phone, and then I was disconnected...three times in a row. I waited a few minutes and called back. The female on the other end of the phone asked to put me on hold, and I said "sure". She must not have hit the "hold" button, because I could still hear taking in the background, including her taking two other orders over the phone. After waiting over six minutes, I was hung-up on/disconnected again. I'm sure they have caller I.D., but I did not receive a return phone call. Sorry Mr. G, I was in town for the nite, and wanted to try your chicken Parm combo.

Just ordered hot wings. I would NOT reccomend them. They are not good!!!! Sweet, soggy and unappetizing.

They specialize in *everything sourdough*, and it shows. The pizza was so delicious. I ordered the Hawaiian and my husband built his own with white sauce with greens and Italian sausage. Both were so flavorful, perfectly balanced, and baked to that ideal sourdough crisp-chewy combo. Every bite tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. But here's the real win: it was actually good for my gut. I usually feel heavy or uncomfortable after pizza, but not this time. Their sourdough truly makes a difference: I left satisfied instead of sluggish, which feels like a miracle. We also found out the owner, Karen, used to be a chef in Irvine, CA, and honestly... it makes sense. There's a clear SoCal flair in the ingredients and overall vibe, and I'm so glad she brought that creativity and quality to my hometown. So glad I got to stop by this place. If you appreciate food made with real intention, you must stop by too. I'll be back the next time I travel back to the east coast.

We added a little balsamic on top, which made it even better. The warm bread with oil was a great start to the meal. For our entrées, we had the chicken piccata and the haddock, and both were absolutely superb. The dessert was he must have it was Very moist and so much flavor. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It's a great spot for a first date, a girls' night, or just a nice evening out. Not careful enough for diners with Celiac!…read more My boyfriend and I have eaten at Pizzaco many times and have always had good service and good food. We went for a late lunch on Saturday, which happened to be Valentines Day. The bar was full as usual but the restaurant wasn't that busy when we arrived at around 3. They only had one server working so she was busy. My boyfriend ordered a gluten-free pizza and made it clear that he had an allergy. The server asked if we wanted bread and we reminded her that he couldn't eat it. Our food arrived within a reasonable time and we ate without incident. Two hours later, my boyfriend was violently ill and he suspected the pizza since it was the only food he had that he hadn't cooked himself. He spent 4 hours in and out of the bathroom with cramps, vomiting and diarrhea. If you have Celiac be very careful eating here. The server was obviously not paying attention or she doesn't understand the importance of getting orders correct. We will not be going back to Pizzaco. We will go to other restaurants that have better policies in place to ensure the safety of their patrons. Clearly it was not a priority here.
