Nachos with chicken--so cute and tasty
Cekarri N.

Mr. Furley can be my friend! This bar is a chill mix of a sports bar and a fun casual hangout with friends. They have great drinks with fun drink names and the prices for a bar in the area are fantastic! "Happy hour" is basically all night and that makes the pricing even better. Very chill weekday crowd and the bartenders are super friendly and quick. It says "lower your expectations" but you can keep them fairly up there when coming here! We also got nachos and a personal pizza both were above average for bar food! Overall really cool place we'd come back for sure!

I ended up spitting this out which I never do..overcooked, rubbery tough, salty! Only ate some because I needed to eat.

I have always loved going here for their nacho cups (used to be so good..! And darts but last night was OFF. Maybe the kitchen was trying to get out QUICK and cooked everything on super high heat or left things in the oven too long because the meat on the nachos was overcooked and dry and inedible. Incredibly salty. Same with the wings..so tough and dry. And salty!! I NEVER spit out food. (Photo uploaded..) I truly ate just because I was in need of eating something and the service wasn't even there to check on me or really care about my feedback when I was able to give it to them. I don't think I'll be coming back to this neighborhood bar of mine..and this used to be a go to for late night food. The quality has totally changed. The BBQ sauce isn't even BBQ I don't know what that is.

French Fries and Mozzarella Sticks

Mr Furley's is truly one of my favorite spots in LA. I hosted my birthday party here and they were so friendly and accommodating for everyone. We were able to bring our own cake/cupcakes in and everyone had their own tab going at the bar while we hung out in the small outdoor space which was perfect for a party. My top two favorite things are the Mozzarella Sticks and the Nachos Quatro. I tell EVERYONE about these two - the Nachos Quatro is a brilliant way to ensure that you get all the good stuff in the nachos in every bite, and the Mozzarella Sticks are literally sticks cut off a block of mozzarella. Unreal. The Bavarian Pretzel gets an honorary mention as well - I'm a sucker for a good bar pretzel! When I need a chill spot to meet friends, this is where we go. Don't miss out - come to Mr. Furley's.

Beef skewers with chimichurri; sooo good!!

Stopped by here cause toca madera across the street was fill, even for bar seating. Blown away by the recommended beef skewers - it's grilled ribeye, only $10. Such a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed it more than the steaks I had recently Guacho Grill Steakhouse, and to be quite frank, more than half of steaks houses I've been to for a heftier price. George was awesome with his service. Appreciated the effort to make small talk with me cause I was sitting solo to kill some time.

Best mozzarella sticks ever! All their food is homemade from SCRATCH. It's a perfect balance between a thin batter and goey fresh mozzarella stick cut from the block. The bartender explained how all the food is made and is truly homemade. Prices are unbeatable for the area and quality is the best. They have a pool table, two dart stations, lots of seating available and TVs. Low key bar, come hang out, have a drink, and eat some good food. I crave these mozzarella sticks because they are legit so I have to come get my fix lol... but their food is dine in only. It's worth while. Th Clean restrooms, good service, good food. Street parking for the most part. Garage parking nearby but I'd recommend street parking.

They tell you like it is at Mr. Furley's and I am so into it. The drinks are cheap and to the point, the food is actually so good, and the music was great the whole time. Order at the bar and make sure to keep your tab open because you'll be back to grab another drink or add some more food. Especially with the unreal happy hour deal for buy 2 get 1 free drinks!! Adam at the bar was incredible. He makes a great whiskey sour, fun shots, and takes care of everyone. The food also hit the spot. We got the nachos which are actually kind of like mini tostadas. Adam described it like it's a perfect bite each time and he was so right. Also tried the bavarian pretzel, mozzarella sticks, and fries. Way better than expected. I guess overall from the outside I thought it would be much more divey, but Mr. Furley's was just a great spot to spend a few hours. I sat in the little outdoor area by the front. They still have a TV out there so you're not missing out but a little easier to talk. There's pool and darts inside, and apparently a small room in the back that you can reserve if you call ahead. This was my kinda place, Adam was my kinda bartender, and I can't wait to consider myself a regular.

Will most definitely be returning. Nothing is more comforting to me than when a restaurant keeps it real. You pretty much know exactly what you're getting at this establishment. They are open late (kitchen till about 1am), which is amazing for those of us who work late! They mostly offer bar food, and basic cocktails, but hey, you know what you're getting! Staff was kind, and the space offers pool and darts. I asked the bartender for a salt rim on my margarita-esque drink, to which he kindly said, "it's not really that kind of place." This made me giggle. Chicken tenders- Yes Beef skewers- yes Roasted cauliflower- nope, go somewhere else for your vegetables The best way to take advantage of this place is its happy hour and late night offerings! I say go for it! You'll have laughs and tasty bar bites.

Such a cool and laid back vibe! It's spacious and people there know it's the spot to hang out and catch up! They have a fantastic happy hour!!! 5pm to 9pm!! Never seen a happy hour run so long! Their drinks are great too!! I love their motto!! " don't have high expectations - Mr. Furleys " Their pizza, wings and chicken tenders were all delicious! Service was nice! We had to go to the bar to place our order but that was no big deal honestly didn't take away from the place.

I had been…read moreto a different 33 taps location, but this one definitely set the bar higher and exceeded our expectations. It seemed busy, but we were seated immediately. The vibes and energy were amazing! The servers were so kind, friendly, and attentive. And don't even get me started with the food.. it was AMAZING! We couldn't stop saying how yummy everything tasted! I can't wait to go back and try out some of the different items on their menu. Absolutely zero complaints about this location.

Do not come here unless you want to be taken advantage of during happy hour prices…read more I came here before work with the intention of happy hour. It starts at 3PM M-F. I come in at 2:58PM I go to the bar where Mitchell takes my order. I ask for a HOUSE dirty Shirley (a house drink during happy hour cost $7). He goes and makes my order and comes back. At this point it's 3:01PM. He charges me at 3:01PM keep in mind. He puts out the little card reader machine and as he does that, I hand him a $5 bill for tip. I wanted to tip him $5 since I knew my happy hour drink was $7. I tap my card and move on. I sit and I'm drinking my drink and got a notification that I got charged $15.50. As I'm looking at this charge I'm trying to make sense as to how my $7 house drink turned into $15.50. I try to justify it by saying it was tax or maybe he forgot to insert happy hour price since it WAS only one minute after it started. Whatever I don't get upset. At least 3:45PM - I call Mitchell over again and I say "can I please get the happy hour fries (advertised as $9 during HH) as well as another round of my drink (advertised as $7 during HH) that counts as happy hour right?". Mitchell says "Yes". He charges me again - I tap and I tip $18% which said was about $3.50ish. I look at my charges. I was charged $27. At this point I call my partner and I'm asking him to please help me make sense of this. I send him pictures of the menu etc. He says to ask for a receipt. I ask for my receipt for my first and second transaction and Mitchell only hands me the second one. At this point I'm super upset. I look at my receipt. He has charged me full price for my drink but he did give me happy hour price for my fries. I finally work up the courage to call him over and confront him about this. He admits that he made me pay full price for BOTH transactions. He goes over to his coworker asking to help give me a refund and I can read his body language. You could tell that he was a bit embarrassed because he got caught. He hands me a receipt showing that I'm being refunded for the second transaction of $27 and something cents. He said he was going to go check on my first transaction of $15.50 (which should have been no more than $10 with tax since house drinks are $7 during happy hour). At this point I'm making conversation with the guy next to me. Mitchell comes back hands me another receipt (I'm thinking it's the refund for my first happy hour transaction) I thank him, he apologizes and says he forgot to ring me up for happy hour. I just shrug it off but in the back of my head I'm thinking. How can you give me happy hour priced food but ring me up a second time with regular priced drink? Whatever. I continue on with my conversation with the person next to me and leave. As I get to my car I look at both "refund" receipts and notice he gave me two of the same receipts. Acting as if the second one he gave me was for the first transaction I made. Maybe it's my fault for not double checking the second refund receipt. Regardless - these charges were most definitely done on purpose with the intent of overcharging me not once but both times. I will never come here again. Please if you choose to come be aware. This is why I was never asked if I wanted a copy of my receipt. I truly hate writing reviews like these because of an interaction with a staff member. I'm sure the owner wouldn't agree with what happened to me. Pictures is my original and refunded receipt for proof of the second transaction. Again - I never got refunded for the first transaction of $15.50 like I was told.

This is definitely one of the best BBQ spots in LA. I'm torn between this and Moo's...not sure who…read moregets the crown. Probably 1a and 1b. That aside, onto the review... Bludso's brisket is tender and marinated just right. While some briskets are too salty, Bludso's maintains a light and balanced flavor profile, which lets me enjoy the flavor of the beef. However, be warned that some leaner cuts might be a tad bit dry. The pork ribs were also great. although they weren't "fall off the bone" soft, it's still one of the best ones I've had in LA. The sides were also good. They weren't mind blowing but they were definitely comforting. Overall, Bludso's is a great BBQ spot that I would come to again and again. Definitely one of the best in LA. Note: I do have to say that if you're from Texas, you might not be "wow'd". Franklin BBQ in Austin is leagues above both Bludso's and Moo's (first time in my life having brisket melt in my mouth!!). But if you've never left LA, Bludso's will probably be the some of the best BBQ you've had in your life!

Bludso's BBQ has become one of my more reliable go-to spots for BBQ in Los Angeles. While portions…read morehave gradually gotten smaller as prices continue to rise, I want to focus mainly on the food quality itself. And overall, Bludso's is still a solid BBQ joint that I'll continue coming back to. Brisket - 4.5/5, Lean Brisket - 3.5/5. The standout here is definitely the beef brisket. They offer two versions: regular brisket and lean brisket. The regular brisket is well-smoked, with tender, moist meat that pulls apart nicely. The dry rub has a great balance of seasoning and flavor without overpowering the beef. My only complaint is that the brisket can be a little fattier than I'd prefer. On the other hand, the lean brisket swings too far in the opposite direction; it has too much lean meat. It loses too much moisture and ends up noticeably dry. Honestly, I wish they offered something right in between the two cuts because the flavor itself is excellent. Even so, the brisket remains the reason I keep returning. Pork Ribs - 3.5/5. The pork ribs are good, though not particularly memorable compared to some of the better BBQ spots around. The flavor is there, but the ribs were slightly dry and lacked the tenderness I was hoping for. The taste and texture just didn't fully come together for me. BBQ Chicken - 2.5/5. The BBQ chicken was probably the weakest meat option I tried. The chicken was properly smoked, but the smokiness completely dominated everything else. I couldn't really pick up much seasoning or flavor beyond the smoke, which made it feel one-dimensional and less interesting overall. As for the sides, the cornbread and baked beans were both above average. The cornbread had a good texture and flavor, while the baked beans had a nice depth and complexity that complemented the BBQ well. The mac and cheese, however, was a letdown for me since it tasted a bit dry. Overall, Bludso's BBQ is still a dependable place for BBQ in LA, especially if you're craving brisket. It may not be perfect across the board. Still, the quality of the smoked meats - particularly the brisket - keeps it firmly in my regular rotation.
