Update: My car started making new noises so I gave Kenny a shot against he came, diagnosed and fixed my car far under what I would have spent any where else. Big plus that I never even had to leave. She showed me receipts and gave me a fair price. I will use him time and time again but just hoping I don't have to. Hehe. Original: My car was screeching then wouldn't even start, I used Yelp and found Kenny. I texted 4 mobile mechanics and Kenny was the quickest to communicate so I was sold. He said it was $85 to come out but if I used him for any repairs that the $85 would be applied to the cost which seemed more than fair. He was great at communicating via text, showed up on time and was very friendly. Felt like I was looking at my car with an old friend versus some stranger that just showed up. I feel he went above and beyond for me and was super thankful! He removed my battery and took it to be charged up then returned it. Totally worth $85 ti m read more

Tried to repair a friends car. Bolt got stripped on alternator. Reached put here to Kenny. Great communication and was here on time each day. Changed out the water pump, alternator, all pullies, belt, and anti freeze. Very good pricing. Did great work. Can't say enough. Most importantly he is honest. Thank you Jenny for taking care of the care. Will be a repeat customer, umm. Unfortunately lol read more

Mr Fix It Mobile Mechanic - Nasty bolt on alternator - Auto Repair Near Me

Kenny was awesome! My car was acting weird all weekend and this morning I got in to drive and it wouldn't start. We're new to the area and didn't have anyone to call to help me jump it to drive to the mechanic, nor did I have a way of getting to the shop to purchase a new battery. I also didn't want to wait until my boyfriend was off work to come home and help me. I reached out to Kenny and got a response quickly and he was here within a few hours of the initial message. He was quick, honest, and super responsive. He was in and out in probably 10 minutes and let me know that the rest of my car looked great and that he does a number of things. I will absolutely reach out again with other issues and questions and cannot recommend him enough. read more

Kenny is absolutely the best at what he does. He is honest, upfront and dependable. I would not want anyone else to work on my vehicles! Thank you, Kenny Vale! read more

In today's fast-moving world, it is a challenge to find a doctor, dentist, attorney, or auto mechanic that you have confidence in and can trust to have your best interests in mind. I'm still looking for a doctor, dentist, and attorney, but I found that mechanic in Mr. Fix It's Kenny Vale. I contacted Kenny to get a quote on a brake job for my 2012 Kia. He quoted me a very fair price (compared to several other local shops) and we set an appointment for him to come to my house to make the repairs. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he was unable to keep the scheduled appointment. Instead of not showing up, Kenny kept me informed of his status and made it out at the next convenient time to complete the repairs. He replaced the rotors, pads, etc. with the expertise and efficiency of someone who has been doing auto repair for a long time. Kenny then test-drove the vehicle to make sure everything was working as promised. He explained everything he had done and the parts replaced. I was so impressed with his expertise and professionalism, I asked him to look at another vehicle I had that needed a repair. He found a replacement part (of better quality than the OEM) and replaced that part on another visit. He also went out of his way to help us locate a set of missing keys. It is so refreshing to find someone of Kenny's honesty, integrity, and professionalism in this "dog eat dog" world we live in. I highly recommend Mr. Fix It (Kenny Vale) for all your auto repairs. We will now be customers for life. Give him a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

Kenneth is an experienced professional with integrity. He talked me through his trouble shooting, during our recent diagnostics appointment. I explained my goals for the car, my budget for repairs, and he helped me strategize a plan I'm confident about. Labor rates are very reasonable, especially considering he also helped me to price options for parts, which saved me $300. (Ignition coils at the local auto parts store were $100ea, but Amazon had a 4-pack for $89.) I look forward to scheduling repairs when my parts arrive, and I'll update my review our post another one at that time. read more

Kenny is great! Came out and fixed my door handles I was having the hardest time finding someone quickly. He came out and even dealt with a little issue I had with the part. Will recommend to my friends and use his services in the future! read more

Kenny did fast work getting a starter replaced. He provided a lot of great advice when I was shopping for parts and on other possible repairs I may need. My car is near 200,000 miles and he helped me decide which repairs I really needed now since I plan on replacing the car sometime when covid settles down. read more

Kenny gave me a fair quote before seeing the repairs needed and stuck to that price even when the repair proved to be extremely difficult he got the job done. I will recommend to any and all who need repairs. read more

He's services are convenient to come to your place and do some repairs. I called around to get a quote on my radiator flush and he was the best price around, also I had some other issue on my car that I was wanting an opinion and he was able to tell me what or if it needed to be fixed, good honest guy, will use again.. read more

Quick response with a very reasonable quote. Good communication. Showed up on time and did a great job. Will definitely use again.

I found Kenny on craigslist when I was looking for someone to work on my 84 VW Westy van. Good Westy mechanics are hard to find. Kenny was honest-said he had never worked on one but that he knew he could fix it. He came over and diagnosed it within minutes, instructed me on what parts to get, and quoted me a very fair price. After the parts arrived he showed up on time and got to work. It wasn't long before he had my water pump replaced and I was back up and running. Kenny also called me that evening to make sure that everything was still good with my van and told me to call him I had any issues at all. If you want an honest mechanic and you want to pay less than what most shops quote-call Kenny. read more

A mechanic was friendly and made himself available. We will follow up this review with an update after the car has been fixed.

Kenny was awesome and very knowledgeable. Even took a look at another issue, insisted on it and provided a possible diagnosis. I am definitely going to have him do anything I can't moving forward. I would suggest Kenny to anyone looking for an affordable and honest mechanic. Hard to find that anymore. read more

Very convenient. Scheduled a time and date, he came and fixed the issue same day. Great price. Would definitely use Mr Fix It again.

Honest. Reliable. Prompt. Courteous. Inexpensive. Affordable. These are words that come to mind when asked about Kenny. A week ago my wife's starter went out on her Honda Civic on a Monday. With her needing it for work, we were in a bind and needed this resolved ASAP. I found about about Kenny and gave him a ring. He was out here within the hour even before I got home with the part! With freezing temperatures and rain, Kenny knocked out the job promptly. I noticed that the job was more difficult then what we both had anticipated so I offered Kenny to pay him more for his time, he politely declined and told me he was charging me exactly what he had quoted and promised to do the job for. I've been looking to get some expensive work done on my 4Runner and Kenny pointed me in the right direction on where to get the parts for cheap and paired with his labor, i'll be paying a fraction of what I was quoted from Firestone. You can count on me using Kenny's services for all my future repairs. Seems that my brother has been in need of a good, dependable and cost conscious mechanic and will also be using Kenny for his mechanic needs. Thanks Kenny! read more

Kenny is wonderful. I went through a 3 month debacle with trying to fix a head gasket problem in a complicated engine. Kenny was able to get it up and running for a fraction of what other people were quoting me. Some people wouldn't even touch my vehicle and thought it was finished! He is extremely thorough and does not rest until the job is 100% completed; no short cuts. He is more than fair in his price and is honest in his dealings. Goes above and beyond to ensure excellent service. Do yourself a big favor and go with this man. Trust me...if I'd known about him 3 months ago I would have saved myself a 3 month headache and a lot of money. Thanks Kenny! read more

I won't waste much time and just say AWESOME! We will be using Kenny's services again! 5 *'s is not enough :)

Found Kenny on Craigslist and he came and got my Ford Ranger going quick. Got it going for less than it would have been for just the tow.

Kenny is the man!!! He was very knowledgeable, efficient and very prompt. He was EXTREMELY fair on his pricing for the repairs he did. Kenny will be the guy I go to for now on for any of the repairs I need. read more

Hi, Lets face it...by the time you call a mechanic, you are probably not having the best day of your life. I called Kenny, hoping that it wasn't the clutch on my friends truck that I have the use of for a few months. He came out and we checked the obvious, adjusted, bled, etc. But nooooo-sir-eee. It was the clutch. Kenny did a fantastic job, runs great now. He even went back to triple check something, just to make sure. He is knowledgeable, charges a fair price, and polite and professional. I prefer to work with small business in the Austin area, and he is an example of just why I prefer the "little guy". If you are reading this, I hope your day gets better :) Alex read more

Mr. Fix It was awesome and his work was perfect! He got to the house when he said he would, replaced all four brake rotors and pads on all wheels, and did it in a very timely manner. A local shop quoted me over $400 for labor and he knocked it out for a fraction of that with much more convenience! Afterward I took him for a ride in my old camaro and we noticed a minor gas leak, which he proceeded to fix, FOR FREE! He said at that point we were just messing around on cars together. Unless I move far away, I won't ever use another mobile mechanic. Thank you sir! read more

Kenny came out, on time, and was very professional. He made sure the problem we thought it was, was the actual problem. It was fixed in a good amount time and he used the part I bought. I will gladly use these guys again! read more

I needed my 02 Chevy Z71 repaired. The power steering high pressure hose was leaking and needed replacing. Found Kenny on craigslist. He responded quick and quoted me a great price. Came to my place within a day and it was fixed within 2 hours. It took longer because he is a great guy and we just chatted and wasted time. Not a bad thing guys when getting to know a new mechanic for the first repair. Use him and things will get done at a great price. read more

Kenny was soooo awesome! Very honest, reliable and knowledgeable. I had called a mechanic from CL who said he had 25+ years exp. Well, he obviously didnt because my car was in worse shape after he "fixed it". My sway bar was rigged by a wire hanger and my end link was removed and not put back on. He completely misdiagnosed my car and cost me almost $300. So while i was looking on CL to try and find a way to post a "scam notification", i came across Kennys ad. I was soooo hesitant on contacting him but the fact that he gauranteed his work and he had YELP reviews had put my mind at ease. He gave me a GR8 estimate and knew exactly what was wrong with my car BEFORE even putting my car on a jack. As he was working he was explaining every step he took and why he was doing what he was doing. Not only did he do a GR8 job on my car, but he also applied the fee that i paid for his estimate to the total cost of repair!!! I admit, im a tight wad and was gonna pay him exactly what he asked for, but my boyfriend (who is very hard to please) told me that Kenny deserved more than the fee he originally asked for because he fixed my car and was very honest. So i had No problem paying extra....to be honest, he deserved more than what i gave him, especially after the last mechanic left a huge mess for Kenny to clean up. Thank you sooo much Kenny! !!!! We will definately use u again! And refer you to anyone who needs repairs! read more

First of all, Kenny is a consummate professional. He did a great job of keeping me apprised to every step taken during out repair journey. Background: My '02 Jeep overheated and blew the top off of the radiator. I've never seen one split all the way across the top like that. He was able to help me by diagnosing all issues. There were several that came up during this breakdown. After the radiator and thermostat was replaced, it was still overheating. I knew these had to be fixed but also felt there was a different underlying issue. He did a block test and we found that there was combustion fumes in the coolant. This is indicative of a head gasket issue. He was able to get the head removed and take it to a machine shop for me. They tested and resurfaced the head. During this time it also gave me an opportunity to order all of my parts from Amazon Prime in order to save an extra couple hundred dollars over buying my parts at Autozone. Kenny was great in sending me the exact part numbers for the parts needed. We ended up replacing the radiator, head gasket, valve cover gasket, thermostat, intake manifold (he found a crack as he was removing the head), water pump and he changed the oil, replaced the spark plugs and put a new belt on for me. It was one week to the day since I broke down on the side of the road and I am back to driving my baby today. She runs better than ever. No sign of any overheating. He also found the actuator arm on my ac had broke off and fixed that real quick as well. I cannot sing his praises enough. I will continue to use his service and expertise on any thing that may come up in the future. If you need a good honest mechanic that will help you fix just what needs to be fixed without trying to upsell you, Kenny is a great asset to have in your contact list. I highly recommend his services to anyone who wants to get quality service at a fair price. Now it's time to go get the Jeep a little muddy! Thanks again Kenny for everything!! read more
