I have been going to Costco for over 10 years to get my eye glasses (new lenses) with the average time for turn around being around 7-10 days. I dropped my frames (a few years old prior purchase from Costco) off along with the current prescription from Dr. Johnston and was told that the glasses are sent and prescriptions are processed in California. No problem, since the usual turn around time for me has been 7-10 days. Two and a half days after dropping my glasses off, I received a phone call stating that my glasses are ready. A red flag immediately came up in my mind because that is highly unlikely that something could be processed in that short of time from California and sent back, especially using older frames. So I picked up the glasses and I told the service person behind the counter that these glasses were probably never sent out in the first place because that was too fast of a turn around, she disagreed and was rather irate so the experience was not pleasant and I left with my glasses and sure enough, I can't hardly focus with these, they have to be my older prescription. Then shortly afterward, I received a call that my glasses were ready at Costco after this experience, I explained that I just received my glasses but the young man insisted that no, these were my glasses. Curious I went there thinking maybe these are my prescription in the wrong frames? So I made the long trip down there, asked for my glasses and whoever that was behind the service desk stated that I had no glasses ready for pick up! I know that Costco has a policy of no charge if the glasses do not work but after a prior bad experience along with this one dealing with an irate service person, I am not going back there.
