very overpriced. You will call them for a simple solution. You give them permission to go through your house. And we capitalize on it.

Jack came out to give us an estimate - was extremely helpful, looking at all of options and making other suggestions as well. We have always been pleased with Mr Electric and today was no exception! We had our quote by the end of the day read more

I feel SCAMMED! I had two separate outlets stop working in my house (one on back patio, other in ceiling for garage door). Weird! I checked breakers nothing tripped. I look around my house for gfi. I even went out and bought two new breakers at home depot and replaced at electric panel (it's not hard only 3 screws) because they are dual function and had a light on when I reset. Thought it maybe they were bad. Still didn't fix. Finally call Mr electrician. Showed up next day. He arrives and tells my wife (screenshot of $320 fee of) it's a $320 dollar diagnostic fee just to find problem. Whatever I need it fixed. I arrive home ten minutes later. Ask him what's wrong? He won't tell me the problem until I sign/pay for work. Keeps saying there's a short somewhere he has to find. Red flags going off like crazy at this point, but I need my garage to work. Talks me into buying their "silver" package that includes a surge protector to get my money's worth. He says those are normally $600 on their own (which is a $70 part at home depot and 10 minutes install). I ask multiple times how is this fixing the outlet? I'll show you when I'm done so you can fix if happens again. At that moment I knew I got scammed (already paid)and it was gfi's I couldn't find. He shows me an outlet outside, and one in my garage behind my safe amd tells me "you should've looked better". I was pretty livid that I paid $719 for two button presses and a $69 Siemens surge protector (in stock at Home Depot) that I called and spoke with Bobby the manager. A bunch of excuses, you knew price before signing explanations, and finally I'm sorry you feel this way (if I knew they'd charge hundreds of dollars to push two buttons I would've sent them packing). I finally said good day to him and came to realize that this is just a predatory company. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU HAVE A SAM'S CLUB SIZE BOTTLE OF LUBE!! read more

Mr Electric - My wife texting me about "inspection" fee prior to my arrival - Electricians Near Me - Johnson City, Tennessee

Had a breaker keep tripping so I called to have someone come out and look at the breaker. Agreed to the 49 dollar fee, but once here said it would be $339.00 to test everything. So I basically gave them 49 dollars for doing absolutely nothing. Deceiving tactic. Never will recommend or use them again. Go elsewhere. read more

Windstorm took out my electricity. The team from Mr. Electric showed up promptly. Completed the work in a very short amount of time and did an excellent job cleaning up and making sure that everything was correct. read more

Excellant service. Knowledgeable technician. Called the first day I requested assistance.

Entirely overpriced! Had one outlet put above our stove so we could place a microwave above it. Two techs came onsite and installed one outlet and charged us $727! Gave no indication what the cost would be but did state that if we decided not to place it, there would still be a $100 service charge. I would not recommend this company. With some patience and some YouTube tutorials, we could have installed it for about $5.00. What a ripoff!! read more

Second time I used them. Bobby was great explained pricing first. Then he did a great job.

Although they were mixed up at first as to why they were there, the issue was quickly resolved and they did the work in a professional manner and did a great job! Will call them again. read more

Sent a service rep to my home within an hour or two of my call. Price quote for what needed to be done was reasonable, and most importantly the work was started the next morning without delay. Adam the electrician was accommodating, polite, professional, communicated well and completed the job on time. His work was very clean, and I can tell he takes pride in what he does. Highly recommend. read more

Todd McCarley with Piper Water Restoration; I got an emergency call by an insurance adjuster, requesting that Piper Water Restoration restore Power to a home that was damaged during a rain and wind storm that caused a branch from a tree to strike the main power line that ran from home to main power source at Road, which caused and Ark in th3 home catching the hall bathroom exhaust fan on fire. The city had come out and pulled the meter. This happened late on Friday. The insurance company called Piper Water Restoration to restore power to home on Monday around 3:30 PM. I called Mr Electric and they met me at around 4:30 PM. Mr Electric pulled the permit and had all Electrical fixed and inspected by the next afternoon and power was restored. The home owner was out of power for approximately 4 days. The insurance company would gave put them in a hotel room, but they had certain conditions that being home is where they needed to be, so getting the power on quickly was a priority for them and Mr Electric was very professional, took no short cuts and got the job done in more than a timely manner. All the Technicians where 100% professional. The home owner was setting on the porch and over heard one of the technicians talking with the other technician and over heard him tell the technician to take his time and to do the job correctly. This meant alot to the home owner and it meant alot to me, because when I sub a contractor out to do a Job For Piper Water Restoration and they impress the customers it also makes me look good also. It is hard finding good people today, but they are out there and Mr Electric in Johnson City TN is one of them, I highly recommend this Franchise and will be using them professionally and personally. I also worked for ServiceMaster Restoration for 16 years and used Mr Electric several times and never had any dissatisfied customers or any issues with the technicians, workmanship or with the owner Avery Pennington! What a Great Team. Thanks Avery! Sincerely Todd McCarley Piper Water Restoration 1.423.439.9596 read more

No free diagnostic service. Cost $200 just to tell me it would cost $400 more to fix loose wire. Don't waste your money here

Technician was efficient but the cost was exorbitant. Garbage disposal switch had a short and technician corrected the issue in less than 20 minutes(lets just say it was 30 minutes). Cost was $184, which comes to $368/hour. Pretty good work if you can find it. Never again. read more

You get what you pay for. And I payed to have a trusted technician drive 60 miles to my home. Come in and do a particularly fantastic job rewiring my fuse box. Efficient. Great Knowledge. I got exactly what I payed for. It was worth it. This is a great company. read more
