After finally showing up they come once in April and once in May....then NOTHING. They do not come at all in June. Finally on July 13th I call to cancel services and explain how they never show up (and also that our bug issue wasn't resolved anyway) and the agent tells me that I am signed up for services every 2 months and not every month! What!? Why would I do that- totally inaffective. So she says she has cancelled the account and all is good. So TODAY is SATURDAY July 24th- I wake up at 8:15 am to see an email saying that Orkin came to my vacation rental property at 7AM!!! Guests have windows without curtains and even when we had service with them they were told they could only come week days between 10am and 4pm!!! Now I'm getting calls from very angry people that they woke up to a creeper outside of their windows at 7am. Orkin is the absolute WORST! Currently spending another hour of my life on the phone with them to try YET AGAIN to cancel services with them. I was just given apologies (which are worth nothing) and reassured that now it definitely is cancelled. DO NOT HIRE ORKIN. BUNCH OF CLOWNS

When we were selling our house our buyers used him for a termite inspection. It came back that we…read morehad evidence of termites and he would charge us $700 to treat them. A few days later the offer fell through so we called to cancel the termite treatment. His words were, "Why?!?! Well it's your call!". He was very unprofessional. We decided to have Orkin treat the termites instead because we have used them before and we knew nothing and have ever even heard about Shaffer's Pest Control. Orkin came out and spent 2 hours under, around, and inside our home. They could not find any evidence of termites and said they didn't know what he saw but it definitely was not termites and there was nothing there to treat. They took pictures under our house of the healthy wood and Shaffer's did not provide pictures of what he saw. He would have got away with $700 of our money. Never use him...untrustworthy!

Also the monthly service is nothing. They QUIXKLY check the poison and QUICKLY spray chemicals and that's it. If weather is bad they skip on the outdoor service (which we still pay for) . They aren't thorough nor do they check details. They forget that each clients house is a HOME. I wouldn't recommend them.

However, I never heard from anyone. I tried to call every Orkin number online I could fine. The website says multiple places that customer service is 24/7 and it is not. No one answered locally or any of the 800 numbers. I finally got ahold of someone at the Nashville branch, I'm in Knoxville, and he was shocked that even he couldn't get someone in my area. If you can find another company that uses similar products at a similar or better price, choose someone else for sure Update: my tech never showed up. I tried to call all the Orkin numbers and none of them were answered on Saturday or Sunday despite being advertised as "24/7 customer service". I called the local office Monday morning and the manager, Kevin, was rude and dismissive. He was not apologetic and didn't seem to care or be interested in his tech not showing up. You would think it would be easy to notify everyone on the tech's list that he's not coming when he didn't show up for work. I was told they would be here before 6pm. 6:15 rolls around and the office in beaver wv is now closed and the exterminator never Arrived. I will now have to wait until Monday for the offices to open to call. horrible service if the exterminator was unable to arrive on the scheduled time we should have received some kind of confirmation.
