He kept charging her money for things that didn't even needed to be done. Then had the nerve to come back and say he could do it for another 400 dollars. *Bat Free is the Way to Be*…read more 10 OUT OF 10 WOULD RECOMMEND As a native of Los Angeles, California (where the motto is "pave paradise and put up a parking lot"), and a fairly recent transplant to Tennessee, I was naive enough to think I'd never have to encounter nature. I'm not really sure why I thought that. The monster bugs on steroids should have been a dead giveaway. (Seriously, what are these things?!) My neighbor's anecdotes about bears, foxes, and snakes should have also tipped me off. But no, I was happy to wear my rose-colored glasses and think everything was Bambis and Thumpers, squirrels and chipmunks. Cute, fluffy nature. Nature that stayed in nature, a proper distance away. Far enough away to be far, but close enough to take a video. It was exactly 29 days ago that I was rudely awakened from this illusion. Literally. It was almost midnight and I was half asleep when my dog burst out of bed, barking viciously, all guns blazing. Naturally, I thought the worst. Demons. And I wasn't far off. A black-clad intruder in the form of a bat had entered my house. Yes, I had finally been introduced to the dark side of nature. And it wasn't pretty. Adrenaline and cortisol immediately began pumping through my veins. I felt the anxiety coursing through with each thundering heartbeat. Fight or flight? Flight or fight? I chose flight. Definitely flight. And not flight of the bat variety. That was out of the question. Gross. Obviously I needed help. And I needed it fast. (Cue Bonnie Tyler's "Holding out for a Hero"). I called every single phone number of every single place that could possibly assist me in my time of need. Unfortunately, the time of night was not conducive to the situation. One company ( I won't name names) actually did answer the phone, telling me I'd have to make an appointment for two days away. ( And what? Leave the bat to crash in my living room rent free in the meantime?) I made the appointment out of sheer desperation. They still haven't called me back. For all they know, the bat is still an unwanted houseguest that just can't take the hint that it's time to leave. Another company called me back in the morning, but I got grumpy vibes from the man on the phone. Grumpy McGrumperson did not seem at all concerned about my plight, and I decided I didn't need that kind of negativity in my life during this crisis. I was all out of hope at that point, when Critter Control messaged me back that they'd be able to come help me in a couple hours. Salvation!! Ron, and the entire Critter Control crew, was extremely pleasant during the whole process of removing not only the bat that had trespassed into my living room, but also the other bats they subsequently found in my attic. However, the process was not without its hiccups. A few more bats found their way into my living room through cracks and crevices that were not immediately obvious upon first inspection. But each time this happened, Ron responded to my messages quickly, and came to remove them as soon as he could. He was very patient and knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions and concerns. I'm happy to say that my attic, and living room, is now completely free of bats, and is sealed tight from any possibility of bat entry in the future. I'm also grateful for the quality of work and customer service I received. All in all, it's been one of the best experiences, minus the actual bats, of course. Will I tell everyone this story? Yes. Will I rave about Critter Control when I do? Yes. Do yourself a favor and call Critter Control first. Don't waste your time with the flakes and grumps of the world.

We called Leo's and agreed to a contract for a tech to visit every three months for a year, they supposedly sent a tech to the house soon after that though I never heard anything from Leo's. After a few weeks I called Leo's to inquire about my bill and how the service went. I was told everything went well and they would be mailing the bill. After another two weeks or so, my wife had to travel to Bristol to meet the Sheriff and evict the terrible tenants. While she was in town she went to Leo's only to find out the the tenants never let the tech into the house and the service had NOT been completed as I had been told over the phone. While there in person, she scheduled a time for the tech to access the now vacant house. When the tech arrived, he found a roach infestation(did I mention how terrible the tenants were?) to go along with the rats. He suggested the best course of action to be a monthly treatment plan and advised that he would send a new monthly contract and would reach out in the future to schedule the next treatments. At this time the tech did a full service and we began seeing results(dead roaches everywhere) relatively soon there after. Another two weeks pass and continued radio silence from Leo's. No new contract had been mailed, emailed, or in anyway communicated to us, no scheduling had been done. We called and cancelled our contract today. No apologies were made for the lack of communication, no attempts were made to do any better. This is understandably a very stressful situation for us as we have had to take days off of work to travel and tend to this house, not to mention the literal thousands of dollars we are out do to non-payment of rent and damages. We needed a company we could rely on, someone who could do the job, and communicate to us. Maybe I'm asking for too much, but knowing that a rat and roach infestation was allowed to grow for roughly a month due to Leo's lack of communication is infuriating. TLDR; Leo's says they completed a service they did not complete, roach and rat infestation grows for over a month.
