I submitted a request online in November 2024, looking for someone to repair damage from trees…read morehitting my roof. Joseph (owner) responded and we scheduled a site visit. He didn't show up for the initial appt., and rescheduled for the following week- even then he was an hour late. We discussed the repairs and he said he would email an estimate. After hearing nothing for weeks, I reached out to him and he said he would have it by the end of the week. The following week, I reached out again and finally received an estimate. From there on, I would hear NOTHING from him unless I initiated contact. Then the excuses started.. I dealt with this man for three and a half months, with him ghosting me the entire time. At no time did he ever fulfill a promise, or meet a deadline. The last straw was him AGAIN failing to provide information on the repair. That was Feb. 25, and, you guessed it, CRICKETS! I have to wonder what part of "Do It Right" applies to his business.

I would like to fully endorse Remnant Construction from Kingsport, TN…read more My 95 year old mother recently had a new shingle roof put on her house, and the quality of their work was excellent. The roof has a 45 degree pitch and meets at several places and has two chimneys. It is also three stories high. From the street, it looks wonderful. The house is also in a National Historic area, and was built in 1915 (or thereabouts), so they had to do an outstanding job to meet the standards of the area. Their customer service is also excellent. My mother had found pieces of flashing that dropped onto her back deck several months after the job was complete, and she was worried that something was wrong. Benjamin Wilburn, the owner, promptly came over, went onto the roof, and inspected everything. It turns out the pieces of flashing were unused and left over from an attached neighbor's roof, and had been left there by another contractor. It was a great relief to my mother to know everything was in good working order. She is now considering getting other work done, such as rebuilding her deck, and I am positive that Benjamin and his crew will do a fine job. If you are located near Kingsport, TN, I highly recommend this company. They will do good quality work, and are nice people. BTW, their email is remnantconstructiontenn@gmail.com.

All their crew (shout out to Justin, Sam, Kenny, Delmus and Todd, etc) are absolute professionals who do impeccable work and communicate clearly at all times. Installation was great, make sure on your estimate to get a line by line quote to understand what…read moreyou are paying for. We thought we were getting anderson windows after we asked WHT type windows we are getting before signing the contract because the quote had parts and labor lumped into one price. We went from anderson windows from Lowes to united windows from lowes(came in broke) to American Craftsman window (aka plygem) from home depot. Plygem has a BBB rating F and Forbes rates them a 3 out of 5. At any time we're we notified of the change untill I did some research on the installed windows and received a small credit on the difference. Out repair went on for 3 months and the communications with the office manager was really poor. On 3 occasions we phoned her for status reports on parts, appts etc and she was going to call someone and get a call back. Not once did we receive a call back. The only communication we had was on july 3rd to schedule insallation on july 6th. All customer service is done by email, i was contesting the invoice because of the window price difference ( anderson window to plygem windows) a phone call to discuss the issues would have been appreciated. This compan was $70 higher than window world but we like to use local companies when available so we paid the difference. 3 stars for the installers 0 stars for the owner and office mgr
