He gave me options, explained them clearly, and was completely transparent on pricing. He's also just a genuinely good person to have in your home. Professional, thoughtful, easy to talk to, and clearly takes pride in his work. What stood out most is that he treated it like a partnership. He wanted me to understand what was going on so I could make the right decision, not just move forward with whatever was easiest. Once we aligned on the scope, he got it scheduled for the very next day. That level of responsiveness is not something I take for granted. Overall, I walked away feeling confident and taken care of. I paid 25k for my electrical upgrade and new panel. They over promised and under delivered. Items requested and promised were not installed. My home was left with holes (I paid extra for patching) and the job incomplete. They took the easy route and did not do things right the first time. Buring smell in my home Fire Department out several times and they did not respond timely or sent out emergency Technician as they live too far. Carelessness ruined several personal items that the have yet to replace. Months later I still do not have the sign off from the city and now they are dodging my calls!!! Just had Boris and his helper Alberto install 5 new LED overhead light fixtures and troubleshoot why two of the old ones were completely out. Also fixed a ceiling fan and light that wasn't working correctly. Most of the issues were caused by bad switches which were all replaced, something I would have never figured out. I also have extremely high vaulted ceilings so aside from the electrical I would not have wanted to attempt any of this work myself. They cleaned up when they were done and took all of the boxes and old fixtures with them when they left. Highly recommend. Especially Boris. read more

I just recently purchased a home which had issues with some outlets and lights not working. As you can imagine, the process was stressful. Buying a new(er) home and already having things going wrong. Finding a reliable, responsive and knowledgeable contractor only added to that stress. Finding Mr. Electric provided such a huge sigh of relief. From beginning to end. Matt was a pleasure to work with, he was flexible in time and originally offered me to get serviced day of my call. They also send text reminders to keep me informed of the status of my appointment. Victor came to my house on time and was very professional, after he gathered information from me he walked me through the process with troubleshooting. His colleague, Nemanja came out to provide assistance. Both of them were pros through and through, they kept me in the loop of all the things they were looking through when troubleshooting. Thanks for your reply to my review. I asked your tech to install a security light that was also wired to a special override, wireless, "panic" switch located inside my house. The technician could not figure out how the older security light was wired (he fiddled with the wiring for about 45 minutes). He said the electrician who wired this security light KNEW how to wire security lights and he couldn't figure how to wire the new light into the existing house wiring. I said as a "licensed electrician, you should be able to figure it out the wiring;" he replied telling me he was not licensed ("so long it is not difficult, I can do the work"). I asked him to simply put the old light back (the older security light was installed by a licensed electrical contractor during the extensive remodeling of our home in 2019; there is nothing wrong with the light). It is still my belief I was ripped off at $650.00 to install 2 lights. My review was not about the quality of the work, but simply a precautionary warning to consumers to get a second bid on such work. If I had followed my own advice I would have gotten the lights installed at approximately 50% less than what I paid this company to do the work. There are plenty of piranha swimming in the home repair space looking to rip consumers off. I got bitten this time and learned a valuable lesson from MY mistake; I will not let this happen again, at least, to me. ***To the individual who JUST wrote: "...you can't blame the electrician for how he feels because it sounds like you changed your mind." Please read my response to the company: The technician was UNABLE to decipher how the old security light was wired to the inside panic switch. So I told the technician to send moly put the old light back because he spent 45 minutes fiddling with the new light and I was afraid he was going to charge me by the minute for his incompetency. He charged me to put the old light back after failing to replace the light!!!! I did not change my mind on the installation of the security light it was because the technician could NOT figure out how to wire the new light into existing house circuit without blowing the breakers. read more

We had an electrical problem in a house. Mr. Electric came out and did a home safety check that was inaccurate, misleading and had errors and omissions. They then proceeded to propose almost $10,000 of electrical upgrades that would not fix the problem they were called out to diagnose. In fact they did nothing to diagnose the problem. They simply assumed that the upgrade would fix the problem. The purpose of their visit appears to be to upsell and not solve the existing problem. Had I gone with their advice I would have had an electrical system that could provide more amperage than the wiring in the house could possibly handle and the problem that sparked the original call would still be there. Bottom line, they were not willing to properly diagnose the problem just and just wanted sell unnecessary and expensive upgrades. I will leave it to the reader to determine the ethics of this business practice. read more

I used Mr. Electric to install new wiring and a ceiling fan. Electrician was hard working, polite, knowledgeable, conscientious and thorough. He made sure to clean up any debris from installing fan. I called for a GFI outlet that wasn't working. They said there was no charge for the call out and they would come out and bid the job LIE number 1. They came out and before they accessed the outlet, they were obligated to do a safety inspection of the house. They spend 30 minutes inspecting things that aren't broken. Then they make a list of things that need to be brought up to code. Once we get to the reason I called them, they tell me to diagnose the problem it's $367.00 dollars. THAT'S NOT FREE. I tell them the problem is the GFI box and all I need is for it to be replaced. They tell me they think it's in the wiring? LIE #2. How do they know it's in the wiring, without even touching the GFI box ? I tell them I know it's the box and I recently had another company swap one out at my sons house for $125.00. They told me if I pass on the $367.00 diagnostic check and just swap the box out, that would be $320.00. I kindly asked them to leave. I then went to Ace Hardware bought a GFI outlet for $31.00 and called a neighbor for advise. Within $20 minutes I fixed it myself. For a total cost of $31.00. These people are LIARS.
