There's no music or tv on, so absolute zero ambience. The restaurant seating area looks like covid rules lingered here, and storage has taken over some of the dining room. Great place to order for lunch deals. Where else can you get this price for a hot meal, decent portion that's leas than a Booster Juice Smoothie? Tried the manchurian fish lunch combo. I chose hot and sour soup over pop, one fresh veggie spring roll and 5 bog pieces of lightly battered fish, smothered in a lightly spiced Manchurian Sauce. Mild heat if any? Not bad for the price, but yes there are better Hakka places but not in this area.

In terms of speed, they're extremely quick with the orders and you get it within 10 minutes. This visit we tried their Crab Corn Soup. It was flavourful and a delicious choice. The large size was a good choice to share amongst a small family. It packed a lot of proteins like swirls of eggs and chunks of crab. The Chow Mein did not disappoint. It was perfectly balanced with a good amount of crispy noodles, toppings and tasty sauce. We devoured the Sweet and Sour Fish! Our family really likes the taste of food here. Staff are accommodating and friendly with good customer service!

The oil used to fry the chicken fried rice tastes a little old. There was more chicken than I expected in it but the taste was so so. Sesame chicken was lightly battered & crispy. The sauce was not too heavy & it was a good portion for lunch. It seemed to be sweet & sour chicken with sesame seeds rather than sesame chicken though. The spring roll was pretty decent - better than the old egg roll. On a previous occasion the curry vegetables & moo goo gai pan were decent. The moo shu pork was tasty (it was better without the pancake & bean sauce actually).

Saw this place on Uber Eats and decided to go for it with the 4.8 star rating and it did not disappoint! Overall, the price point isn't terrible - pretty comparable to other Asian restaurants in the area. We ordered on Uber Eats so I'm not sure if there is a cash discount if you pick up. We had the chili chicken with gravy and that was excellent. We also ordered the sweet garlic chicken, chicken/shrimp fried rice, and the Manchurian chicken noodles. The sweet garlic chicken wasn't too sweet, but also had more of a tangy taste. The fried rice was yummy and the noodles were very tasty. The only thing was that I'm not sure if we got the right noodles or if they gave us the plain noodle, since it wasn't a spicy dish.. still delicious though! Thankfully, our Uber Eats driver was super fast so the food was still piping hot when it got here. I've never been to this spot before but from reading other reviews, it seems like it is a small family owned business, which I am more than happy to support. Would definitely recommend, and would for sure come back.

The staple chilli chicken/fish dishes are pretty good too. I recently tried their hot garlic fish (mild) and that was pretty decent. Overall solid, affordable, and tasty Hakka food. Would totally recommend.

Seeing this location in MarkHam where we were running errands and meeting family we decided to try it here as well. Quite busy on a Saturday night. Food comes out very quickly and so tables are turned around quickly as well. The service is good and the interior is clean. The tables are a bit closer to each other, which we don't like. The Vegan Hot and Sour soup was OK. Too reddish and not enough Hot (Spicy) and more sour. The black fungus, bamboo shoots do not help. More fresher veggies would have been preferred. The vegan Fried Rice made was good but again the flavours too muted. Not enough ginger/garlic/chillies. The vegan Mee Goreng with Tofu was good. Was looking forward for this Indo Malay dish. Obviously not the same as we have had in Indo Malay. The Chilli Veg Pakora is supposed to be spicy and with chillies - but it was mild and didn't see any or a lot of visible green chillies. The gravy was good. The pakoras were slightly bigger than we love.

solid old school place for HK style food - sort of a hybrid between a typical canto dinner…read morerestaurant and a HK cafe. I came for lunch on a weekend with some relatives. They were busy but we could still be seated right away. Service was as expected for a place like this. quick and the servers were all nice enough. food: fried beef ho-fun dry style with soy sauce - absolute classic and this was done very well. noodle texture was spot-on, slight bit of chew, not too mushy. Excellent wok hei. beef slices were tender, bean sprouts had slight bit of bite and onions had a bit of crisp to it. Seasoning was on point. For this particular simple and classic dish, 5/5. baked pork chop with tomato sauce on rice - a HK cafe classic. the pork chop was nice. not dry, and pre-cut into slices to make serving easier. Egg fried rice underneath was good. The tomato sauce was odd though, mostly tasted like tomato paste and had a very weird neon orange/red colour - probably food colouring or something. The sauce was just very artificial looking but tasted decent. 4/5. spicy salt and pepper pork chop - popular item here apparently. Pretty good. I liked that it wasnt too salty like this dish can be sometimes, but it needed more heat. 4/5. chicken and intestine soup with pickled greens. Served on a tabletop gas burner like a hotpot. It was fine. Im not a huge fan of this dish but my relatives thought it was decent. I wont rate this as I almost never order it and dont think it would be fair. fried sweet milk - I did not like this. The milk was very subtle in flavour which is fine, but it tasted like they just fried it in the same oil they use to fry savoury foods and this made it taste weird and also very greasy. It did not taste like "old" oil gone rancid though. It was piping hot and very crispy on the outside though. 3/5. HK style coffee/milk tea mix (iced) - barely taste any coffee, mostly just tea, and very watered down. good mild sweetness level though. 3/5. The place is old and I was told its been around for decades. Clean enough inside the dining room but the bathroom left something to be desired. Big free parking lot out front in the plaza. Overall I would give this place a cautious 4/5 if you order the HK classics - they seem to nail the basics and the pricing is competitive for value. I would come back.

I have been meaning to drop by Lee Chen Asian Bistro for the longest time. I often have been sidetracked by the eateries around it. In this plaza, I have now eaten at every restaurant, except for The Keg and Popeyes. It's nice to say that I've been to Lee Chen and I have no hesitation returning. Last Saturday, I dropped by for a late lunch. Lee Chen is next door to Ramen Yutaka. I found a parking spot and backed into it. I then walked over to this eatery. It's a spacious, pretty restaurant. I saw the sign that said to wait to be seated. I got Amy, who was delightful. She led me to a table. It was comfortable being here for a casual late lunch. She asked if I wanted something to drink. It's Coke products. I got a Diet Coke. She was attentive getting me refills. Running errands got me thirsty. I ended up with three drinks during my stay here. You use a tablet to place your order. What makes this eatery attractive is that it has dim sum. I probably changed my order three times. I wanted dim sum. I also saw the noodle soups, so I had to compromise. Here's what I ordered food-wise: - Soup-filled pork dumplings (6) - Wonton pork noodle soup Another female server came over. She started talking to me in Mandarin. I had to stop her. I don't speak Mandarin. She switched things up and spoke to me in English and asked if I had placed my order. I said that I had placed an order for a Diet Coke. Amy came over and picked up the tablet. All was great. She sent my order to the kitchen. I got my soup-filled dumplings first. They were perfectly steamed. The wrappers were thin. There was lots of soup. The pork filling was tasty. They were perfection. They didn't need the vinegar dipping sauce. I loved my bowl of wonton noodle soup. The wontons were tasty. The filling and number of wontons I got were generous. The broth was clear and perfect. I loved the fried omelette that was shredded and placed on top of the soup. The seaweed and green onions made this dish yummy. Oh, the noodles. They were perfect, too. I got a lot of them. I got a warm sesame ball with red bean paste in it. It was delicious and a great way to end my meal. The only downside was getting my server to get me the bill. I actually walked up to the counter to get it. I paid with a credit card. I tipped and tapped. Done! I visited the women's washroom before I left. The hardware on the door of a woman was so elegant. The stall that I used was clean. It was clean. No complaints. I grabbed a candy and fortune cookie as I headed out the door. I loved dining here. I'd return for more good eats. (105)
