Mr. Cactus is definitely one of the best restaurants in Easley! Their food is always great and their portions are very generous! The service is typically satisfactory and they have a fun and exciting environment!

This Mexican restaurant had a lot of amazing reviews and I love Mexican cuisine so had to come try it out. The parking lot and inside was packed, this place stays busy but definitely worth it! The service was top notch! It had a lot of modern decor aesthetics , very Instagramable. The staff was on it everything came out fast and they checked in often. The chips n salsa were great to start of course. I ordered the vegetarian combo, bean burrito, bean tostada and a cheese enchilada, and had to add some of their yummy quest on top of the burrito. Everything tasted amazing, all the sauces were delicious and the tostada topping were fresh and well prepared. Check them out if you want some of the best Mexican food and service around!

    "Taco" with chile relleno

Ordered the special that's supposed to be chile relleno and a taco. There was a pile of meat smothered in cheese on my plate. Poked around and finally found a tiny piece of jalapeño under the cheese. Chile relleno is made with poblano peppers that are battered and stuffed with meat and cheese, but apparently they don't know that. And they call that hard shell thing a taco?? If I wanted that poor excuse for a taco (I don't) I could go to Taco Bell. Tacos are not made with hard shells in Mexico. My wife ordered the taquitos, they were dry and had nothing but meat inside. Her sister ordered a burrito and the flour tortilla was doughy. Others had slightly better dishes, but I was really expecting Mexican food and this isn't it.

We visited Mr. cactus on a busy evening before Christmas. We had called ahead for reservations we were seated immediately. Drink orders were taken three time. Not sure what the problem was but apparently bitters and soda we required three people to come. Ask me what I wanted three different times. That aside, the food was good served in short order and hot. I have a concern about there being dried food on the silverware. But throwing caution to the wind, I wiped it off with my napkin, and continued to enjoy the evening. Three days later both me and my husband were sick. I can't say for certain that it was a transfer from the dirty silverware but I will be flippant. Next time I see dried food on my cutlery the ambience is energetic, fun, noisy. Their birthday cake and ice cream with the big sparkler was a big hit

Good food at reasonable prices. They have a large selection so everyone in our group of 9 found something they liked. I enjoyed the chicken and shrimp and skinny margaritas. The portions were large enough to share. My husband ordered a meal that had tilapia, shrimp, steak and chicken - they pour a shot of tequila on it for show. Pretty cool!

May 20 update My niece ordered me a chalupa from Mr. Cactus, it was take out. I only took one picture of it, let me know if you would have eaten that mess. It was a total waste of her money. Even less impressed with Mr. Cactus.

Good food, service is sometimes a bit slow but that may be the time we go, ambiance is ok but music is sometimes a bit too loud.

Nice little spot and not just the usual Mexican Slop you get every where else. Not a fan of their margaritas though.

Great food and the best Margaritas. If you like to try different flavors of Margaritas try their flights.

Good service food was on point. Did not care for the cheese dip as it had no flavor which was kind of odd.

After my failed attempt at the Mexican Bakery El Buen Pan to get a Tres Leches cake I tried La Casita. My order was to go, I ordered the cake for my co worker, a quesadilla and a churro for myself. The menu is extensive with some of everything on it. They have a small self serve salsa bar with disposable gloves. Placed there for people to hopefully use them. Notice I said hopefully. The patrons at the other table didn't do this of course, no fault of the restaurant. My wait time wasn't too long. The churro was warm and rolled in cinnamon and sugar, the outside was crispy and the inside was soft and chewy. The quesadilla was crispy and had seasoned shredded chicken breast and cheese inside. The Tres Leches cake was a chocolate cake, it didn't look like other tres leches cakes I've seen, the presentation was a hmmmm. I can't give my opinion on the taste, I'll leave that to the coworker I got the cake for. It's a nice restaurant that I would order from again.

There are alot of good Mexican restaurants in the area. Alot. The word authentic gets thrown…read morearound. Alot. But this place let me tell you is just so delicious and authentic. Just look at the picture. You can't get much more perfect than that. Just the right amount of beef and cheese. The consomme with just the right amount of heat. It's really something you eat and all is right in the world. The birria torta is yummy too. My friend loves a good soup, homemade broth which you can tell by its richness. We also love the salsa bar (all good Mexican places should have a salsa bar) and chips that also come with chicharrones de harina! Support small local places like this!
