They have a large selection of pretty much everything, even formal wear if you are looking for something for a special event. Lots of shoes too. The store is in a good location off the road so it is easy to pull in and out. Ample parking. Staff was nice and not pushy so I liked that. I was able to browse and look through everything. My only complaint here is pricing. Everything seemed to be priced too high in my opinion. They had nice stuff but let's face it, it's still used. And unlike other consignment shops where the price drops after the item has been there awhile, the prices here stay the same even though there are different color tags on the item. No wonder they have so much inventory! I definitely would have picked up a few things if I felt like I was getting a deal but the few things I liked would have cost me over 100 dollars. For me, the whole fun of shopping at these places is to get some great clothes at a great price. If you don't mind spending the money, they have a good selection of items and you should have no trouble finding a few things here to add to your wardrobe.

When I scheduled an appointment to pick up unsold items, they returned my items that had not reached the deadline for pickup. On another occasion, I dropped off designer items and when I inquired about the money from the item I was told I had missed the deadline and the item was donated . I don't believe that to be true. They had remarked how much they loved the item at drop off. I believe they kept the item . Just suspect that I never saw my items either times on the sales floor. Of course I paid the $10 fee , their gain, my loss, and picked up my items. BTW some still had the original tags on them, I had never worn the items. Purchased from high end stores. Disappointed.

Out of the few bridal shops I had already visited, Evanna's had the atmosphere I was looking for, along with highly attentive and knowledgeable consultants. Gus Mayer is one of those legacy Birmingham stores that you make your lovely Grandmother take you to to shop at. They have all the nice brands and an excellent black tie gown section if you need something unique and spectacular. My favorite thing to look at here is always the shoes, expect to spend at least $200 on a pair of shoes. But, they're shoes you can't find anywhere else in town. **A note for this year (2025): they had a pair of shoes I wanted that were from Italy, and upon messaging the brand directly, I do believe I avoided some hefty tariff fees by buying the shoes IRL here. Food for thought. I don't often shop in person at all anymore (I'm a major e-bay fanatic), but being able to go in and try on different sizes is incredibly nice. I ended up getting a pair of jeans and shoes in a different size than what I would have ordered online. They have dresses anywhere from $100-$2k, with all the brands like Zimmerman, Staud, etc. They have Mother jeans and my all time fav jeans brand, Mousy -- which were 50% off yesterday!! The "doorbusters" they advertised online were not the bread and butter of what you come here for. Come to peruse. Shoes and handbags are what I recommend. I see the other reviews commenting on the friendliness of the staff... I get it. My thoughts: these are the women of Mountain Brook here to secure their employee discount. Don't hate the player... I was not feeling their price or turn around time. A few doors down from David's Bridal, I noticed a new place had opened. I searched for them on Yelp and I found 2 reviews. The two reviews were good so I decided to give them a try. I figured they had to at least be decent if they were a few doors down from David's Bridal. I called them and asked if I could come by and they said of course! When I got there, I was immediately greeted. The ladies were so friendly and I could tell they knew what they were doing. They even gave me suggestions on where to get some shoes because they ones I intended to wear with the dress were glittery, which was sticking to my dress.
