I'm not sure why the ratings are so low! I have tried almost every car wash around and these guys are by far the best!! It's a bit pricey $50 for a minivan for the package 1, but they really get every nook and cranny. I can't tell you how many times I have to call people over because I see dirty spots. Here they really got it all. Maybe there were one or two small things, but I didn't have to clean after they cleaned. They power washed the mats and actually dried them when they put them back. I didn't have to reattach all of them. Granted I emptied my car at home so I didn't have anything in it. The car wash itself is bare bones so I think there is very little overhead for the business. I'm glad I found my go-to. read more

I went there on Sunday and paid about $47 to have my car washed. They did a terrible job -- they stained the interior of my car and kept insisting it was already like that. It's a brand-new car, and they used some kind of solution on the leather that left awful marks. This is a terrible car wash, and I strongly recommend that if you have a new car, you never go there. read more

I opted the package #1. They vacuum the interior and leather condition the seats. Wash all of my 5 plastic mats including the trunk's. The wait was tolerable. They almost lost my car key ‍. They accidentally left it at another car and thankfully the driver came back and returned my key. For the price around this neighborhood it's alright. I would recommend coming in early so you don't have to wait for a long time. Planning to come back and wash my SUV. If they do a good job. They will have my continuous business. read more

They do a very good job and the workers take pride in what they do. This is my go to "preferred" car wash.

Very thorough! Went for the first time today and the guys got gunk out of the edge of my hatchback that has been bugging me for months. They do a great job, but that takes time, so if you want a quick wash, go elsewhere. read more

I use to like this place. Unfortunately it's going downhill. The customer service and the wash quality has been really bad as of late. What caused me to specifically post this review was the treatment I received today. I showed up at 5:35pm to get a hand wash and an employee stated they were closed upon my arrival. I asked "your listing states you're open till 6pm", the employee just replied back "we're closed, we're closed" and walked away. They were still washing another car and probably just wanted to leave early. I happen to drive 30 minutes out of my way to the car wash, which angered me. Customer service is everything. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this place. read more

My experience at Mr Bubbles was no bueno. The line was very long and moved incredibly slowly. Normally I am in and out of the carwash in 10 minutes and my visit here took close to a full hour. I don't think that hand washing is the most efficient way to wash a car... especially if you have enough staff to wash one car at a time. I'll remember this for next time and from here on out will probably stick to drive through car washes only. I can handle a wait time, so the main reason for 2 stars is the service. I felt like they were trying to scam me. I went over my requested service with the attendant 3 times. 14.99 for the level two hand wash (also includes interior vacuum) plus a dollar for mats and a dollar for my SUV. I repeated '17 dollars total' and he repeated that back to me. When I went to pay the attendant he aggressively said 'you asked for a tire wash too so they washed your tires. that will be extra' maybe hoping that I would have forgotten or just brushed it off and paid. I had to fight my way out of paying for it when this was something that I clearly never asked for. There's just no need to take advantage of someone like that. I think a better system may be to request the service, pay (or at least get a receipt for your invoice) and then show that receipt at the end of service to pay. They have it all backwards here, and part of me thinks that is because they are trying to scam people. And all in all my car doesn't look that great. There are still some spots that are not clean. My car needed some TLC and I was directly across the street for a work event. I'm driving some friends out of town this weekend and this was my only chance to clean the car, so desperate times called for desperate measures. I learned my lesson and next time I'll stick to the 7.99 drive through wash and .25 cent self vacuuming. Hmphhhh. read more

I have a 2013 corolla... Always get it washed here since i bought it .. I NEVER have a problem.. My car comes out amazing every single time.. They do go the extra mile to help with any and all of these so called scratches they can fix (I've seen it time & time again). Great family owned business. Well worth the prices and the occasional wait! P.S. I would love to know from those below me how they manage to keep inventory of all their cars scratches on a DAILY basis since they swear its the carwash towels lol Do the towels just scratch their name onto it?? There's only one bay and it's kinda tight. Long lines sometimes but it's pretty good for a quick wash.

they used to be good but last 2 washes with my 2024 truck and 2 scratches that I am sure I got there beware .

Had a terrible experience today, I just purchased a brand new jeep a week before going to the car wash. While i was in the car when they was washing it, I noticed one of the guys were banging the roof with the brush which I was saying to myself (you have to be kidding me). Then I noticed that the other guy had a very long gold chain on with a medallion that was the size of a orange swinging and at times hitting my car which I knew wasn't going to be a pretty picture. When it was all said and done I noticed that I had two scratches on my car and when I brought to the manger on site attention, after an exchange of words he said that he didn't do it and the car was already scratched. He didn't try to empathize with me just yelling saying that he didn't do it. When it was all said and done I told he he has lost a customer forever. Please be aware this place is the worst!! read more

They rushed and were rough with my vehicle and broke a piece and said they would pay. Gave me a bogus phone number. Waste of time...worst car wash ever. They don't care about your vehicle. read more

Hey! What's a bath without bubbles? Hey, Bubbles! Come over here, will ya?! Most readers here are probably too young to get that Rodney Dangerfield reference, but I digress. The best thing going for Mr. Bubbles is undoubtedly their location. At the corner of the busy intersection of Springfield Ave and Vauxhall Rd on the outskirts of Millburn and Maplewood, they are primed to prey on the tired, weary and dirty. As a hand wash facility, it's a nice option, but it's not the cheapest. They offer a 3-tiered package system, with various levels of service and corresponding pricing. #1 is basically the works for $35, #2 is their middle of the road option for $25, and #3 is their basic service for $20. You can also get just an external wash, w/ or w/o polish, for $15 & $10, respectively. I go with #2 and results tend to vary, but it's decent enough for the price. They wash and wax the outside, vacuum the inside, and also do the tires. Some of the fancier automatic systems do nearly as good a job as this place usually does by hand, but when you get a good group of guys who are focused on what they're doing and aren't in a rush, it's superior. Sadly, that's not usually how things play out here. Back to my original point, because of their location and relative lack of competition, these guys tend to get slammed. When there is a line of cars, you should factor in close to an hour wait. When that's the case, they try to get the cars through as fast as possible and as a result, miss the details. Still, for my money and time, it's a decent option and can be quite good if you time it right. They haven't damaged anything and they are all generally pretty nice dudes. That goes a long way as far as I'm concerned. Party on, bubbles! read more

I just brought my 2013 Wrangler in to get cleaned up after it got coated w salt & slush driving back from Cammelback a few days ago. I paid $26 for a full wash and extras, including underbody rinse. What a waste of money. The car came out and the entire front of the car was still filthy dirty...the grille, the bumper, the lights, the plate, the recesses for the wipers on the hood, the tow hooks, the windshield frame, the side view mirrors, the skid plate...all still coated w road grime. In the rear I was picking off chunks of salt from my muffler. I had them clean it some more...a couple of times. It still wasn't clean. Then they start going on about they don't know what it is on my car (Ed: It's dirt) and I only paid for a "quick wash" and not detailing. I got fed up, went home and finished the job they were paid to do using some soap & water. I get that they were busy and rushing; it took 45 min to get my car washed (not a joke or exaggeration...got in line at 11:00 and left at 11:46), but when I pay $26 for a car wash I expect the car to actually be cleaned. This wasn't the first time I had been unhappy w the job they did, nor was it the first time I had to get them to go back and clean spots they missed. From what I've seen, the only cars that get treated well there are the ones from the Audi dealer around the corner. Everyone else is a second class customer at this place. I won't be back. read more

Really don't put customers first. They would rather wash Audis for the local dealership. Dude literally cut me in line with a dealership car. read more

Mr Bubbles Hand Car Wash - Let's wash all these dealership cars on a Saturday morning. Inconsiderate business. - Car Wash Near Me - Vauxhall, New Jersey

I won't be going there again. Paid for a full service wash with an extra $2.00 for a SUV. The wheels at still dirty and the interior was not cleaned properly. It's not busy so they should have done a better job. I'll stick to the $5.00/10.00 car wash. Paying more makes no difference. I'll give 5* to the two guys who vacuumed my car. They did an excellent job and they took the time to do it properly. read more

My car looks better than when the dealership delivered it to me! These guys really do a tremendous job in making your car shine! I have a dog, and it's so clean, I can barely find a hair in it. I almost hate to drive my car home, with some of these puddles and potholes waiting! read more

Sixteen dollars will get you a rushed job after waiting in line for an hour. I've paid $10 in Jersey City with better cleaning. Cup holders and tray cubby were not vacuumed. Boot marks were left on door rails and three of my four mats were cleaned. I asked a cleaning guy if he could please clean the last mat since they missed it. "Okay," he said. "But it's one more dollar." Really????!! An extra dollar to clean a rubber mat that you forgot to clean? I'd rather find another place. read more

Always a massive line... They don't open according to the posted hours. For example, they opened at 9:20 instead of 9:00. The phone number doesn't work so you can't confirm when they're there. We decided to stop at this car wash first time. It. was 2 cars in Front of us and it took 1 hour. The quality of interior was was horrible. Fingerprints were everywhere and dust was not wiped at all. 2 stars just because the windows were clean. Never coming back. read more

This car wash always does a fantastic job of cleaning both the interior and exterior. I had the worse experience here with my X3 being charged the same price as a Tahoe. I agree with the other reviewer, not the place that you bring your nice car to for a detail. I pointed out 5 issues with the tires not being properly cleaned, patches of dirt after the car was cleaned and the vents are still visibly dirty as I leave. I am happy to pay more for good service. This is the place that you come to rinse the salt from your car until you can get to a better car wash. read more

Mr Bubbles Hand Car Wash - Dirty vets post cleaning - Car Wash Near Me - Vauxhall, New Jersey

Very reasonable - $10 for a plain old exterior wash. You sit in the car, and put it into park. It's not an automated car wash, but rather a bunch of guys handwashing the car. They did an excellent job in scrubbing off all of the road salt after a particularly nasty blizzard. Convenient, and you can't beat the price! read more

Pulled up with only 6 cars in front of me it took them a hour to start washing my car. The only black guy there is lazy and had a attitude the Spanish guy kept stopping and eating his lunch or talk on his phone. They only had this one old guy washing the car outside of the car taking his time. What a waste of money and time. The only reason why I came here is because the wash hound on 22 was to crowded. read more

Waited in line for 15 minutes with only 5 or 6 cars ahead of me and the worker told me it'll be another 45 minutes... an hour for a car wash makes no sense, who has time for that? I've been to great hand wash places that work at 4 times that speed at half the price. Waste of time read more

Does a good cleaning of your car. Full car wash is reasonable price. SUV is an extra dollar.

Great wash but they don't do enough to keep the drying towels clean. Every time I go there I get a new scratch on my truck. Between the towels and the guys rubbing up against it with the ladder to get at the roof it's treacherous. read more

The service at this carwash is unbeatable and consistent. The wait may be long, but the end result is worth it every time. The staff is extremely friendly and hardworking. Arrived an hour before closing and no service. Super frustrating. Rude service person.

First off they never ever ever answer the phone wich makes me come most times and there closed and then They say they open at 9 , I show up st 9:30 get told there opened I pull up and get told to wait a hour ! Why would you list you open at 9 when you won't let people in till 10:30 minimum and yell at your customers to top it off ?? Who are they to yell at me because I simply asked why did you tell me your opened and then tell me to back out and put orange cones to block me ? To top all that they don't even clean that well and if there is 3 cars in front of you be prepared to wait 2 hours !! read more

Great hand washing. Well worth the money. They take their time and it shows in the quality.

I was a regular, both washes and detail jobs, generally happy with their work. This place is HORRIBLE! As a loyal customer, I stopped by midday during my lunch hour and entered the line to have my car washed. An attendant told me 15 minutes later that they "were closed." I asked "How can you be closed in the middle of the day when there are cars in front of me?" He told me they were busy washing cars for the local Audi dealer. While big accounts are important, this business clearly fails to understand the benefit of serving ALL of your customers. I asked to speak to the manager and a man who claims to be the "owner" rudely told me there was nothing he could do in a very disrespectful manner and refused to give his name. I will be telling all of my friends, neighbors, and business associates to no longer frequent this business and am complaining to the better business bureau. Many of the employees also appear to be undocumented workers, so a report will be made to INS as well. Best of luck with your horrible business and atrocious customer service. read more
