    Tasting flight of 6
    Sophia C.

Wow, this place is such a vibe! It was great to sample a variety of meads through their tasting flights (option of 4 or 6), which were affordable and took me on a whole adventure haha. Mead is definitely an acquired taste, I'm not sure if it's my thing but I'm so glad I tried it and Mr. B's is truly THE place to try some mead. Our mead-tender was very friendly, and the interior was intimate and wildly decorated (in a good way). It felt like I had stepped into a magical wonderland of some sort. My group's favorite was the Dragon's Breath, she's a bit spicy but kicks you perfectly. 100% worth a visit!

A tourist to Seattle, I knew I needed to check out a meadery. I love mead, but hailing from the desert-I don't really have any options for local mead. I was so glad me and my husband checked this place out. Is a small area with enough seating for a couple of small parties to sit in. The server was fantastic, super friendly and had great recommendations and told us about the different meads they had and where they came from. We did two flight tastings, got a couple of cups for the ones we liked the most, and bought a bottle of one I really enjoyed to take home. The ambience is great, very cute very earthy. The larger seating table also had some board games if you want to play and sip. And the bathroom- an experience in the best way. It's a rain forest, and even though the whole area is small, nothing feels cramped and everything is sound proofed enough to not hear bathroom activities (this is important in a small establishment okay!). There's a few locations around Seattle, we only went to this one- but I would highly recommend checking out Mr B's if you're curious about mead- the original alcohol :)

This is a wonderfully intimate small bar with an impressive selection of mead (honey wine). They offer a wide range of sweetness levels and unique flavors. I especially loved the diverse choices and the bar's cozy, intimate vibe. We tried a flight - so some had pretty good taste, others were just okay (some feel slightly artificial sweetness). The bartender was very helpful and friendly. Overall, I really enjoyed the place - it's a great spot to hang out

I went here to taste the rainbow, yummm. This place makes mead, which is honey wine, so you would have thought that the wine is all sweet. Nope, there are a few variants that are dry, so not sweet, which can be quite an interesting experience and it did open up the world of mead to me. Mead is not really that common, and different regions do it differently, as the last time I had mead was in New Zealand where the wine is particularly sweet. My friend and I tried the Taste the Rainbow which is basically 18 1oz pours to try out everything on the menu for $39 (tax included). My favorites are the lavendar and black magic, with which I got one bottle and the server was nice to give both of us $7 discounts for the bottle due to the tasting. The pours are beautifully arranged in a honeycomb of 6 pours, so we got a total of 3 honeycombs where we can arrange it to a pattern of our liking. Don't skip out on the restroom - it is quite pretty and it is a whole little world itself. Overall, this place is a cute, cozy place that is perfect for dates or small group hangouts.

Lots of options! We were overwhelmed to choose so we just tried them all lol. The bar tender was fantastic with serving so many tables at once and keeping things very chill and friendly. The inside is so fun and vibrant! I am already planning to come back with a friend!

*AMAZING* mead! So many delicious meads that it's tricky to make a selection, even when doing a flight. I would've loved to try them all and "taste the rainbow," but would have to save that for another time. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. And...I loved Mrs. B's art and sticker machine!

We thought the drinks were just okay, but we aren't really mead people. Cool location squished in between 2 buildings. Love the colorful atmosphere.

Have been a fan of this meadery since it first opened a couple of years ago. We stumbled upon this place because of its cute entrance. After stepping in, we were just in awe of how cute the shop is. The owner Brandon is super nice and friendly, and he shared with us the story of how he started making & selling meads. We love the variety of flavors and our favorites are rose and lavender. If you'd like to try different ones - you can get a flight and pick 6 from the menu. They also have an option for you to get a bottle to bring home.

We stumbled upon this cool little mead bar in the Fremont area of Seattle. It's literally a colorful door on the block that transports you to this wild and wacky bar that serves mead. The bartender was so funny and cool. He really brought to life our Seattle experience. My favorite was the Unicorn. I'm a sucker for sparkling drinks. The decor was fun and so unique. I could see this as my neighborhood spot if I lived in Seattle.

I've been meaning to try out this place and I finally got the chance to try it out. This place is super cozy and cute, I love the decor! We got to sit at the bar and the owners were so friendly! TBH mead is not my thing, I'm not a huge fan honey flavor mixed with alcohol flavor. The sparkling mead was very refreshing though!

Just what they need to boost business, yet another 5 star review. Tiny little bar with a few tables and, from what I gather, the largest Meade assortment in the free world. Grab a flight or a bottle, chill out and enjoy. But no matter what you do, make sure you use the bathroom; it's spectacular.

Have you ever walked by the random yellow door in Fremont, between Rudy's Barber Shop and Nuna Ramen? I have, and one day I read what it said on the door. "Mr. B's Meadery." I vowed to one day return, when that door opened. And I did. And it was kinda magical. We walked down a narrow staircase and to the right was the entrance to a small & dark bar- but the bright colors made it inviting. It had a slightly mysterious and funky vibe. The worker had just opened the place up so we were the only ones there. This would normally make me feel awkward, but the worker was so easy to chat with. We ordered a flight of six and sat outside because the staircase/patio was strangely just so pleasant. All the meads were delicious! You can see which we tried, pictured below. OH! And the bathroom is epic... perhaps one of the most epic I have ever seen. You will understand when you show up.

Mr. B's Meadery has sort of an Amsterdam underground feel to it, in the best possible way. The tasting room is tiny and super cozy, chock full of charm. We opted for tasting flights and all were amazing. It was tough to choose a favorite but yours truly was partial to the spicy offerings; "Dragon's Breath" was probably my fav of the bunch- kind of sweet, kind of spicy. Delicious. The guy working the bar was very friendly and helpful. Do yourself a favor and give them a go!

The atmosphere alone makes this a standout with the Italian music and barrel room making you feel like you are overseas. The owner is super friendly and will have a good conversation with anyone that wants one, and when it wasn't during covid, they use to have chocolate snacks that really went well with the wine. The wine itself is amazing as well and I can't think of one I didn't like. It is located away from the two main districts (wear house and Hollywood), so you might miss it if you don't go intentionally but it is absolutely worth it.

We visited Icon Cellars, as we learned that it was one of the wineries that opened in phase 1.5 and was also on our Woodinville Wine Passport. I read that Icon Cellars takes reservations, so was able to call in and make a reservation for the late afternoon for my boyfriend and me. Located in the north industrial area of Woodinville, it's one of the wineries in the plaza, right on the corner. The A-frame sign on the street helped us find it. We wanted to sit outside since we had our dog with us, and there were two chairs already set up right outside the room. After we checked in with the owner, Jim, we each did a tasting. We started with a rose and then had four reds. All of the wines were awesome! The reds were full-bodied and bold, which is how I like my wine. And Jim gave generous pours, so we were definitely feeling it midway! Of all the reds we had, we bought a bottle of the dolce tempo, which is a mix of an Italian varietal and tempranillo. You get a lot of the peppery punch from the dolce, but a smooth, fruit-forward taste from the tempranillo. It was very unique in reds I've had before; it's definitely a must. The tasting room has a few tables inside, in addition to the two outdoor chairs set up. In fact, the patio chairs are very nice to sit in because on the arm rests is a hole that holds up your wine glass! Genius. As mentioned, dogs are allowed and you can bring your own food. Parking is easy to find, with the shared lot out front along with the other businesses in the plaza. Glad to have checked out Icon Cellars for their bold reds!
